The post isn't that informative, but it looks like a post that gives some positivity related to the adoption and acceptance of cryptocurrency.
Alas, it was made by a Legendary member so personally I'm going to pass on giving it a merit--and I certainly give merits to Legendaries, but it'd have to be a better one than that.
Little Mouse is not a newbie, although it doesn't really matter ... besides, he behaved quite unethically towards JayJuanGee.
With his post above or in some other way? What he wrote to JayJuanGee was a little prickly but I wouldn't call it unethical. Nor have I really noticed Little Mouse being a dick, but perhaps I haven't been paying attention. I certainly will henceforth, though that doesn't mean I'd stop meriting Mr. Mouse if he makes good posts.
he could write to The Pharmacist as this good-natured Skeptical Chemist never refuses to anyone.
Aw. Well, I've never
had to refuse anyone thus far, but that doesn't mean I'd never refuse someone. Part of being a merit source (as I see it) is helping lower-ranked members to rank up. But what if there's someone who puts a lot of effort into their posts and even writes them well but would be totally toxic to the forum if they continued to even be a member here? I'd probably factor that in when deciding whether to merit that person. Theymos hasn't set any guidelines as far as such judgements are concerned, so until and unless he does, I'm going to stick to my guns. So, bottom line, if a troll or a completely obnoxious member PM'ed me for a post history review I might indeed refuse.
I'm also nowhere near as good-natured as you think.
