In my opinion, if you are not a trader then the best strategy is the hodl. You just buy coins at a good price, wait until it grows and sell, thereby fixing the profit. To reduce the risks, try to buy and sell coins in parts, because their price can be more profitable.
i personally will adopt a strategy of long-term hold for all my altcoins and i will not sell them absolutely at a loss, but on the other hand i do not buy new ones because the market is uncertain maybe i will buy only eth because surely sooner or later its value will grow

Why not both?. buy tons of tokens while cheap and then sell it on the bull run which, precisely predicted will be on the year 2019, first quarter. If that is true then there is no time to waste and its a good time to buy it early. Because its never to late to sell coins on the run period .
In any way you have to be sure about destiny of your altcoin. Because depending on it you will sell or hold. Spend some time to think about it's future and then decide.
Since the price is going down day by day I think investors can divide their capital into two part one part they should invest in trading because trading is a choice for making profits in this bear trend market. On the other hand, another one can hold until the market turned out.

I am sure that there is only one strategy for altcoin-selling when they rise to the top. When there is a minimum benefit-I sell. Otherwise, there is no way to get into a winning position
due to low price of coins now just buy more coins and hold those coins for few weeks, the price will increase soon and make good profit from those coins.
I believe that now there is a possibility to earn on altcoin even considering that the whole market is in decline. I think and hope that there will be able to benefit from recent purchases

based on the market conditions lately it is quite difficult to determine what is right to do now, between selling and holding a coin together have their own risks, if it sells it is not the profit we get but even the very large losses we get, and if holding a coin for a longer period of time is a risk if the market situation worsens and the price decreases drastically again because we don't know what will happen in the future.
The best strategy is to always stay in Fiat so one can keep buying the dips all the way down. If one gets caught up in the price dips, what you need do is to keep averaging down at every basic dip it will help you recover your funds once the market shows a sign of recovery.
I don't think there is any innovation in the current new altcoin. Their existence seems to be just to make money, so I think good altcoin should help the market!

If you want to get better results, you should choose to hold it back. Even though you don't know how long, but if you are sure of your coin's ability to increase its price again, I don't think that is a problem. If your coin is not as good as its quality and prospects, you can place it on other, more quality coins.
if I ask you better if you take your Altcoin first today because it's still at its best price now it's better to hold it first until its price increase before you sell if you want to have a bigger profit.

Of course holding your altcoin. I will never sell at a loss. Patience is the key. Holding will bring more profit in future. The only strategy now is to buy more while the market is down.
