I will not totally support this because it is good to diversify and not put all your eggs in one basket. If you have some coin that are not potential and you do not trust their future, you can sell and buy ethereum if you do not have spare money to do that buy if you do, you can hold the token and buy ethereum with the fiat, you do not necessarily need to sell some things to buy ethereum.

The best thing to do now is to buy ethereum because the price is very cheap now. To those who are holding ethereum I suggest do not sell it because the trend of the market now is down meaning there is a big jump of price awaits us. Lots of people start trying to buy Ether, and the sellers don’t want to sell it. So, what do the buyers do? They start offering a higher price to buy the Ether from the sellers. The investors that bought Ethereum at the beginning of the year have made huge returns.
This is the best time to buy ETH as price is comparatively low and it can go higher in next couple of months so if I have excess money then I will invest all my money in it.
I hold ETH but it is a great risk to keep BTC in this unsafe market. BTC thinks 5% lower than many of the altcoins.
Ethereum is a good long term investment, so selling some altcoins to buy Ethereum ain't a bad idea, but it's more better to accumulate more Ethereum from trading altcoins than just holding
ETH is more potential than bitcoin because what bitcoin has done for payments and money using blockchain technology, Ethereum can work on applications of all shapes and sizes, etheruem is a good idea. Investing in a very long time is good. Prices are stable and increase every year. But don't invest the things you have, sometimes it will disappear.
It is always good to invest in ethereum, in my personal opinion I think it is one of the best currencies in the market, its undeniable usefulness and the use that people are giving it increases its value, if you have things that you can sell because you are not using then sell them, I will not say that it is a safe investment because in this market there is not, but I have faith in technology and many people are betting on its success.
Of course, everyone decides what to invest and has his own opinion on this matter. I can say for myself. Invest in Ethereum I advise not big sums for a short period. With long-term investments, I would choose bitcoin.

Selling things ?? Like what ? If you're planning to sell your property or any important things in your life , I suggest that you shouldn't do that because in cryptocurrency there's always a risk , so you might lose everything when your investment goes down.
Now a very large number of altcoins that want to buy because of the low price. Such as Red Pulse, Apex, Elastos, Matrix AI. Therefore, it is difficult to make a choice.
If you sell ethereum at this moment you will lose the capital but if you buy ethereum at this point will be better for you though current due to some factors that make ethylene reduction but with technology As ethereum it will quickly recover

Ethereum price is very low now its not sell time, its time to buy now because this price is very low. We should buy other altcoins too instead of just ethereum. Ethereum price is around 300 dollar that is good number its a buy chance because we will see around 2000 dollar in one year i think.
