What Is Sendcoin?
  • Sendcoin is created by the SendChat™ team.
  • Sendcoin is an alternative coin or altcoin with quicker confirmation times than Bitcoin.
How Does Sendcoin Work?
  • Sendcoin allows for faster transactions of approximately one minute.
  • It is obtainable by various methods (purchasing it with Bitcoin, promos, giveaways, etc.).
  • Sendcoin network will be supported by Proof of Stake 2.0.
  • Sendcoin Hash algorithm will be the same used by Bitcoin, Sha-256.
  • It will be an initial distribution of 21 million coins.
  • The network will generate 1% yearly interest rate.

Why creating Sendcoin if the app already support BTC ?
What Proof of Stake will it use ?

Sendcoin has quicker transaction times. Why not use sendcoin? People can choose to use bitcoin or sendcoin.

Plus we have some more exciting news about cryptocurrency integration coming up soon.

Can you compare this coin with GEMZ?

By coin I assume you mean Sendcoin. Sendcoin is a POS V2 coin with 1% interest rate, it takes approximately one minute to confirm.

Gemz is built on counterparty.

We are releasing an article comparing Gems and SendChat messaging app.

Can you compare this coin with GEMZ?
Not really imo. GEMZ is developed as an app of its own, while SendChat will be some sort of an addon for Telegram, already being used by a lot of people all over the world, including me. Just visit their site and judge for yourself.

Hi Veertje btw. It would be nice to see you also at the Dutch SendChat thread.

Any news on the presentation today? Or are you still working on it?

Hello all, the BTC Embassy decided last minute to cancel all presentations.

The next presentation is this tuesday also in Amsterdam.

It will be here: http://bitcoinobserver.com/

Come if you like, everyone's invited. In any case, a video is being made of this presentation.

We are working on the whitepaper and presentation details now, we also have a new team member who is based in the Americas, who will be spearheading SendChat adoption there.

Thanks

It is a nice project but do you realize that the competition is huge ?

[.............]

I just want the devs point of view about how to deal with the competition.

Thanks for the comment superresistant, rest assured the final whitepaper will deal with how we will tackle the competition. I feel it is best to answer this question with the whitepaper instead of commenting it all here, because the answer to this question is quite long and it taps into many aspects. It will be out in the next couple of days.

Nice summary superresistant, but when I see how many people already are using Telegram (and I'm one of them) and just can continue using it with or without SendChat, I'm convinced that SendChat is the better solution by far.
Agreed with giz, almost every example resistant has shown is either needing to link it with our debit, credit cards or bank account and I'm sure the required personal information is thorough. Otherwise you are looking at bitcoin addresses and other add ons not every blue collar are familiar with. That's where SendChat comes in and saves the day. Keeping the simplicity of being able to send messages, pics, vids, documents etc.. and being able to send btc or sendcoin just like any other attachment. Therefore this particular angle SendChat is coming from wipes out that "competition", good that we have a good eye on the plausible competition though. I'm all in for this project.
