It sounds very strange. But apparently it is possible. Right?

I think this is very difficult to realize. actually I have read several articles like this a few months back where there said something similar like this.
but I think it is a bit difficult, the first reason is its limited range. As far as I know, the most distant Bluetooth range is only 100 meters and this is very inconvenient if you want to make long transactions.
the other reason might be troublesome for the bluetooth device itself because I think it's too heavy to send via this device

According to my stupid experience, the bluetooth network is a wireless or wireless data communication technology that is useful as an exchange of data between several electronic devices, such as headsets, mobile fc, printers, routers, cameras and in fact, bluetooth cannot be used as a medium that connects the entire blockchain network , while bitcoin exists because of the internet,
Even though I have read several articles but I still find it difficult to understand how to send bitcoins via bluetooth.
please shering when there is a friend who knows how

I'm not really an expert in technologies but I think it is possible so long as both devices are connected and both devices recognizes bitcoin however, bluetooth isn't being use often nowadays because sharing or transferring files from one device to another using bluetooth takes time depending on the size of the item you are transferring and not all devices are compatible like for example apple devices to android devices. On the other note, there are a lot of apps now that allow transfers in a faster manner than bluetooth and if we are to use the same technology for bitcoin, it be good since it’s fast but I think it is not secure if we do it that way, I still prefer the current technology used in making p2p transaction because it is secure.

As per my knowledge, it is not possible to send BTC via Bluetooth. Your transaction needed to be confirmed, but if there is no internet the transaction will not be confirmed by the blockchain network.

And if it is possible by using Bluetooth, then you will stuck on another problem that is the distance limit of Bluetooth.  using it one cannot send BTC in a long enough distance,

It seems to me that transferring any data using Bluetooth is very dangerous, because there will be risks to lose your money.  Of course, it would be nice to use Bluetooth to transfer cryptocurrencies when paying for these goods in the store, because in reality not all Internet services are available.  In addition, my country has such retail outlets where there is still very weak communication between mobile operators, since the room is located in basements or in other places that are difficult to access for the signal.  In this case, bluetooth would provide very good opportunities for paying for goods using cryptocurrency.
There's no harm in sending money over bluetooth. However, its time consuming and even might need a most advanced technology which can convert Bluetooth into sending cryptocurrencies on a local network. And yes there are rooms which are located at basements with insufficient internet connectivity.

But, there will be a day where we all might be able to send cryptocurrencies using bluetooth from anywhere and any corner of the world. And people will be able to send and receive money without any network errors. We still need a good network connection to handle and deal with cryptocurrencies. There are places where we don't even get an access to internet connection so in that case bluetooth could help us for cryptocurrency transactions.

To be honest, I just heard this, of course it all has to have a strong measuring point in terms of trying to transact via Bluetooth, because this will be a risk for everyone and of course they will lose their bitcoin, with no security that is strong enough in that case, if that is done it might be very good going forward, so that more and more people are interested in Bitcoin ..

With so much technology being added or created will expand the technology that bitcoin has in the future, and everyone will certainly not underestimate bitcoin in the future.

It seems possible why not. As long as it can connect two devices, I think the transaction can be done. I have read 1 article and 1 video talking about a transaction over Bluetooth. Just visit these two links below:

- https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2jgg5i/pay_using_bluetooth_ble_instead_of_qr_code_with/
I've just read the article and seems sending Bitcoin through Bluetooth is possible however, in order to perform this kind of transaction there will be a help of a certain device which is "Bitcoin Box". Bitcoin box is developed by Jan Vornberger which a user can perform an offline transaction through the use of Bluetooth and NFC. But though the use of Bluetooth without help of any device, I guess it is not possible for now.

Sending bitcoin via is not possible since as we know there are lots of machines connected via internet, bluetooth can only handles only limited connections of devices , while bitcoin needs an entire network because of connections of lots of miners doing the work, bluetooth
can connect in a short distance, also data that going to send is different and should be connected via internet while bluetooth is isolated, its not going to work

I've seen that it's possible to interact with the Bitcoin blockchain using mesh network antennas, satellites and even radio waves. This is great, because it further decentralizes Bitcoin as we know it. But I'm wondering if it's possible to send/receive Bitcoin over Bluetooth? Considering that most devices of today are powered by Bluetooth, it's much easier for anyone to interact with Bitcoin this way than using satellites, and other means mentioned previously.

Do you think something like this is possible these days? If so, how can I do this with my mobile device? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley
Bitcoin using Bluetooth? In short, we can use to connect in a small area without any use of internet? Maybe, it is something that is hard to explain. And I think it would not happen easily. Because we need internet so that all people may access to other. Since, bitcoin is decentralized. It needs to be connected with internet so that the btc will be added to the people and recognise by people.
A big dream for me to have that, but it remains a dream until it proven.

Not good way for sending bitcoin using bluetooth because only can make transaction with close mobile phone device, how ever bitcoin is digital currency payment transaction where could send for other country with have far way each other, if keep using bluetooth as way for sending make bitcoin become down as legal currency payment transaction.
It’s not a matter of good and bad. It’s a matter of the situation. If you are in a situation where you are not having good connection for your transactions then you need to shift over on bluetooth transaction and if you are having a sufficient connection then go for it. You have a limited access when you perform transaction over bluetooth.

But, if you need to do a transaction globally then you need to have a proper Internet connectivity. Sending bitcoins over Bluetooth might restrict you on the distance between the transaction as you need to be connected over the Bluetooth in order to transact your currencies.

There would be some platforms which might be developed soon which can enable Bluetooth transactions and it would really make an boost in the transactions amongst the peoples who live nearby and want to transact with the cryptocurrencies. It might also be accepted in local businesses as receiving bitcoins would get much easier for local store operators.

Changing ways of transacting over the bitcoin network do really is essential for the development of the market because of finding alternatives to our native option of transacting over the internet. But imagine, the network that connects the whole world is only the internet because it is directly connected to the transatlantic cables that is shared over the seabed of the world. If we are to rely our transaction over bluetooth, it simply means one thing, which is to make a transaction over a short distance and still needs internet in order to broadcast the transaction. The only way I see bluetooth to be beneficial is what ledger nano S does, which is to connect the drive to mobile phones which makes it easier.
I do not think so he has asked about the comparison, definitely internet is the best mean of making transactions. I would say that looking at all the technological advancements and the increase in there number we will achieve a time when we will be able to send Bitcoin from anywhere to the whole world without electricity and internet. If taking in consideration that time, it is possible to send Bitcoin over Bluetooth.

I think it's impossible to transfer bitcoin to Bluetooth because because we can use Bluetooth even no Internet. And it's been so risky because once you open your Bluetooth and connect to reciever it's been more Bluetooth open so it's not safe. Much better to online wallet than Bluetooth.

It is possible but somewhat risky, because remembering the basic principles of a transaction in BTC you need a blockchain to get a transaction to operate at a certain time. On the other hand, bluetooth is a protocol that is generally used for multimedia functions, it could be possible if the transaction was made via bluetooth but it would be more vulnerable to being stolen, since the use of the blockchain would be ruled out, it would be useful when connection is not available , but I don't know if the risk is worth it, and merging both really wouldn't know how to respond.

It's not impossible sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth,
But remember, Bluetooth is the most insecure medium For data transfer.
If we want to send Bitcoin via Bluetooth it will be at high risk, there is a high chance of hacking and network interruption.
I think using QR code is ok, it is secured and easy to use.

Bluetooth is used to send/receive files.Do you think that parts of bitcoin can be transformed into a file?
This is a pretty weird idea,if you ask me.How can sending via bluetooth make the bitcoin transactions faster and more convenient? The receiving user will have to wait for confirmations.
This is complicated stuff,I'm not an expert, but I don't see any benefit in such innovation.

This would work more for "off-chain" (offline) transactions, instead of securing and maintaining the Bitcoin blockchain with it. Individuals could simply send unsigned transactions via Bluetooth to sign them later on their mobile devices for security. There are many ways to prevent the loss or theft of crypto funds, even if the user is relying on an unencrypted protocol like Bluetooth. While developers haven't came up with something like this, they could implement it in the future if there's enough demand from people in the mainstream world. There might be other important things to focus right now, than sending/receiving transaction using Bluetooth technology.

As long as QR codes and NFC tags exist, anyone can send offline transactions without the need for Bluetooth. The latter is something optional than necessary for the adoption of Bitcoin within the mainstream world. If something like this becomes a reality in the future, then expect Bluetooth transactions to become viral in crypto land. Above all else, the Bluetooth protocol may need to be redesigned in order to encrypt transfers from one device to another. This will pave the way towards mainstream Bitcoin transactions using Bluetooth technology if the need arises.

Nonetheless, Bitcoin has performed flawlessly (sort of) with various implementations for sending/receiving transactions in an "off-chain" manner. With satellites, mesh network antennas, and even Ham Radio waves, you get everything you need to perform transactions "off-grid" in any undesired situation (like natural disasters). Bluetooth is just "the tip of the iceberg", in my own opinion Smiley

Sure but the problem with sending bitcoins over bluetooth connection is that the network can easily be tempered with and bring about loss of funds. I have witnessed several situations where hackers used bluetooth connections in stealing people's data. I believe the use of QR Codes is enough and secured, let's stick with that folks.
security when doing transactions using bluetooth is something that is very doubtful because the security of Bluetooth is vulnerable
it can even be very easy to do snifing on bluetooth so that your funds will not be safe
but doing bitcoin transactions I think is very possible
It might be possible but it has a lot of disadvantages too. Using Bluetooth so send money is not a good idea for me because there can be a situation in which your money can be lost. What if someone connected to you already knowing that you are thinking you are sending that money on a certain person you want to but it didn't happen. I think QR codes are still the best for sending money and also addresses. I can also say that maybe we can send money through our mobile number if we have wallet mobile application and that wallet is connected to your number. Sending money using Bluetooth is not safe for us, that's what I think.

Some months ago i read about broadcast transactions with radio transmissions, so, if this is possible, maybe it could be addapted to broadcast the transactions via Bluetooth...

To be honest, I did not like this idea because it is too risky to send Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general over bluetooth also the viruses are widespread in this technology. The security is one of the important factors that attract the users of crypto , without it your wallet would not be safe anymore.
Plus, it is important to turn the  idea into reality but without creativity there is no usefull technology to community especially in Blockchain domain.
Probably there is some risk while we're talking about the virus and stuffs but here you're transferring bitcoin and not data, so I don't think that there's a risk while we're talking about transferring bitcoin using Bluetooth and I think it's a really good thing because here, we're not using the internet to do it, we're only using signals which it's really amazing for people to buy stuff online while they don't have internet at any place.
