I think smartphones are just starting to improve their technology, so its on the rise. I don't think it will die in 10 years. What I am thinking is that it will be the most used device after a few year from now, and laptops or desktop computers can be extinct. A lot of desktop features are already installed in a smartphone. If they were able to fix the difference in performance between the two, I think smartphones will rule the tech world.
Smartphones are really good , but we are using it in extremly bad things , and it is doing us crazy

it will evolve and innovate further beyond expectations. Mobile communications is one of the
biggest life changing innovations in general. Nothing that prominent is gonna die out any time.
If people don't like smartphones, don't buy or use them it's that simple.
Not at all, but it is getting better and better with every launch of a flagship phone. It is in the past two years only that we got the curved edge display for more utility, a retina scan for better security, a smartphone with almost no bezels at all, a modular smartphone that has the flexibility to attach various mods to increase the functionality and maybe a lot more. Faster processors and better cameras are seen in every update of a smartphone but even they are very much required due to the ever increasing apps and their size and also due to the latest version of a operating systems that again consumes a lot of memory but provide with great features and functionality too.
I don't see smartphones out of our lives anytime soon.

Smart phones cannot totally disappear. I agree with a point that it is a tool being used to spy upon us, but the fact still remains that in a way, we are kept safe through that means and those with skeletons have more to fear. "when the necessary is not available, the available becomes necessary." I believe a revolution will occur where individuals will stand up and kick against the government spying on them and stricter laws and moves will be made to ensure privacy. But when we weigh the importance of smartphones, extinction does not seem logical.
I don't agree that it will totally disappear. Maybe smartphones will be transformed, but they will still exist

Everything has its own uniqueness and so whatever be the future the evolution of smartphones will keep going and so the smartphones
Cant say about the future of the excellent future itself. Yes smartphones are itself the future as per me
Smartphones will evolve into something better, I do not think society will come back to basic phones when it seems that we rely on smartphones already.

Yes I think, lookinng at the pace of scientific evolutions, within adecade some extraterrestrial techss will replace smartphones
we just started online shopping through our phones, that's not good. i don't think smartphones will die, there were even blockchain projects that would be useful for smartphones. it will live as we can use it even when on bed. its going to be used anywhere in the world and that it will stay. smartphones are going to act like personal computers on our palms.
Until 5-6 years ago, people were using laptops and desktops to browse internet. But then they shifted to smartphones, as they were more convenient when compared to laptops. And if some device is invented which is even more convenient than smartphones (may be smartwatches?), then I guess many of them will shift to this new device.
A smart phones will not die after 10 years because is something that is needed by individuals on a daily basics.
Technology everyday changing to a new so smart phones will change so can die after the smart phones can come anothe kind of phones or devices.
