I have reset the Antminer S1, to no avail.  I still cannot get it in a web browser (I do get the black Lula sign-in screen) but it just hangs there.  The reset S2 button however does not seem to be resetting the machine.  When I plug in ethernet cable, the green lights blink 2-3 times and they shut off and never come back.  I have another Antminer doing just fine, but I cannot get this second one online.  It was online yesterday -- I had it pulled up and changed something in the WAN/LAN/WWAN area and when I restarted it, I now have this problem where it won't come up on a web browser.  Help!

Is there another device on the network with the same IP address?

To weird to live To rare to die
I have zero hash rate says pools are alive I have a few getworks and some discarded but hash rate is zero and I cant see my self in the pool?

my ip is 192.168.2.xxx my default gateway is set to 192.168.2.1 the same as router when I ping my ip it comes back with data, my laptop routers ip is 192.169.2.xx my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 am I leaving something out ?

so I noticed one of the boards had a green light on the outside after a reboot but now its gone again after another reboot(it was on the right ride side if your looking at the fan)

Your routers up is most of the time your gateway ip.

Thanks ill give it try
so use the routers ip not the routers gateway ip?
needs to be the routers gateway ip doesn't work with routers ip

Confused Smiley so which option is indeed working?

routers gateway needs to be same as antminer otherwise it wont show the pool info although its still not hashing

I'm for the moment looking at installing one of these on the exhaust side when I get my proper power supply.

That fan is only 66cfm, I believe the S1 fans are 130CFM.  I tried putting in some 120mm 95CFM fans on the output and they seemed to be blocking the airflow more than assisting as the miners ran a few degrees hotter.

I have ordered a fan that is purported to be similar to the stock S1 fans and will report back once I get it

hey guys I have 50% error rates on my s1 running at 375, 2 fans, very cool... no matter what I do, can't get the HW rate below 50% - is there a new firmware update or cgminer update I can use to fix this problem?

50%, how did you get that calculation?

only thing that matter is valid shares submitted to the pool... asic chips are not designed like gpu's and cpu's.  My understanding is they sacrifice error checking for speed.  so you have some HW errors....what does the pool report your hashrate as?

ok thx kano thought there was a cmd seems alot of pools don't have the ability to change the worker difficulty though was hoping a way to set it so the hash is more accurate

Linux since 1997 RedHat 4
after the worker password for the pool can you put commands like -w 256 to set the worker difficulty can't seem to get it to work maybe i'm using wrong syntax for antminers? my google results come up blank  Cry
cgminer doesn't have a 'set difficulty' option.
Good pools allow you to do that in your pool worker settings.

Read the README:

The options start here:

You mean the S2 black button?  I tried that for 20 seconds & it didn't work.  I don't think it actually reset it.  Ethernet light flicks on 2 or 3 times and then dies altogether.  The cord is good, I tested it.  I did IP scan however and it did not show up so I'm not sure.

If its turning off and its a setting thing try holding while powering up and when its starts to flicker let off the button. That's my thought.

Mine right now is turning off with insufficient power[or at least what I'm going with till I get my replacement supply]. you could try unplugging the pci express(while off) farthest away from the Ethernet plug and try turning it on.

It resets back to original IP I held it for 30 s then shut it off then held it while turning it on then shut it off again and was able to connect with factory ip

Any idea if the antminer s1's fan is proprietary or is there a 120mm fan under the intake fan side? Its not as quiet as I was led to believe and I want to replace it or at least see If I can use a different brand on there. I found at least so far I put a fan sucking air out the other side and quieted down a bit but if I mount it I'd probably like to change the other.
