It is a good idea to buy bitcoin now, a lot of people has been speculated about the price of bitcoin will come back as it was before. If we buy it now and keep it until it rise again i think will be profitable. But we have to keep it as a long investment.

Correction is going to happen soon and if you are really ready to make a good long term investment for about 17-18 months then just wait for few more days and then accumulate some and just wait till you see your investment getting some great returns.Never had been a bad time of buying btc unless you are in top phase of market cycle when reversal is going to happen from bull market to bear market.
