I've known about it since 2016 about 3 years ago. It's been good and interesting so far. I've learned on how to buy and sell btc, been part of trading and doing some signature campaigns and postings until now. I also have some quite bad experiences like when I missed out an email informing me that the trading I was into has already closed and I need to withdraw the fund before the said due date. Unfortunately, I haven't did it since I read the email after the due date already. Another was when I get into a sig campaign and work for it in three months but I was not paid. I'm quite disappointed about it. But I still buy and sell btc every now and then to cope up everything. It's risky but interesting.

Was reading about how Bitcoin first came into existence and people's first experiences with Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, etc on Reddit. I want to know how your guy's first experiences was with Bitcoin, and if you ever had any regrets or wins throughout the years.
My first experience with bitcoin is a pretty wild ride lets say. I started from faucets from 0 and I continue it because I want to earn free money online as a student and all went good. Regrets on my bitcoin journey are getting addicted to gambling which eventually literally cleaned my bitcoin bankroll back in the days.

Most crypto users that exist today are actually started in doing faucets. I also do faucets when I was started, but I quit immediately for a reason that I can't meet the minimum withdrawal.
As a student, you're doing good since you already know how to earn money, though, we can say that profits from faucets is not that high, but it is still considered as an earning.

Also, would be cool to know how people first actually got Bitcoin back nearly a decade ago when it wasn't as easy as buying some from a local Bitcoin ATM near you.
Maybe through exchanges? Because there is no way you can buy bitcoin back then when no such ATMs exist now, you can only buy from exchange or do p2p transactions to other bitcoin users.
There are no financial services when bitcoin was started, only exchanges. Those were the days when bitcoin was not so popular, and its price is still cheap. Everyone can afford it.

The first time I knew bitcoin around 2016 when I was looking for additional income on the internet, then I found faucet site and I tried
to collect bitcoin from there. Not long from there I got to know airdrops, after my airdrops get to know the bounty and trading. I tried to
run it for a year finally when the price of bitcoin reached the highest price i have a large profit. But unfortunately in 2018-2019 I was having
a hard time because my bitcoin dropped dramatically lost assets by up to 80%. Now I am trying to get up again through bounty and trading.

it's not been too long since I first came and encounter bitcoin unlike the others but as for my experience, at first, I was very reluctant trying this 'cause I don't know... I'm afraid that it might be a scam or whatsoever. But since my friend introduced it to me, and I and my other friends joined together so it gives me assurance. At first, it was hard to understand but as I learn enough, I never regret my decision coming here. And now, I'm even introducing it to others.

The experiences we have to share are definitely going to fill up several pages but i would just summarize it in a shot text.
First of all, i was like the doubtful Thomas when i heard about bitcoin from a friend until i earned some tokens which i later sold for some BTC. Damn, i was so delighted i could not hold back. I wanted to learn more about cryptocurrencies. Frankly speaking the income got me interested in cryptocurrencies but this motive changed when i got to realize the full potential of the blockchain technology and the use of cryptocurrencies.

Ever since then i have been a strong crypto enthusiasts who have got scammed with quite a number of projects and we have also had some success with other projects too. The journey through this space has been a hectic one but the knowledge gained was worth it! Hopefully we would see cryptocurrencies esp. Bitcoin being used in our daily activities in the next 10 years.

I met Bitcoin because of friend, he encourage me to play in a online casino to play dice without placing any money. He taught me how to get the coin which will be used in gameplay which is Bitcoin through faucets and I got really fascinated about it. Eventually he found this forum and invited me again to participate in signature campaigns which gives me enough knowledge, experiences and funds then I learn how to trade and make an investment. The only regret I felt is that I should discover it more earlier so that I can invest an enough amount of money and get a high return in uptrend happened in 2017.

Every of my neighbors were investing in this popular scam and bankruptcy MMM that was my first experience with bitcoin after a while the moribund scheme introduced payment via bitcoin thus prompted me to further research about bitcoin this lead me to this wonderful and resourceful forum thereafter I took my time to read comments and post here and made further inquiries using google since then I have no regret in fact I am full of gratitude to satoshi, thermos and other forum moderators who had been doing a good job in keeping forum working.

One of my friend introduced me to bitcoin and said we can shared me some video link which was over an 2 hours video explaining in and out of bitcoin and it's purpose then he introduced me to this forum saying that we earn earn bitcoin just by posting comments in this forum and bitmixer was one of the reigning signature campaigns at that point of time and that's how I earned bitcoin before gradual excelling into other ways like trading, investment and all but unfortunately I lost my private key for blockchain wallet as I was bit careless at that point of time.

My regret and I guess this would be for others too is by not selling during the all-time high.

I've sold some but I didn't take the time to realize that it's already the right time to sell a lot on my stash including altcoins. That was a very valuable experience and removing the attitude of being greedy helped me.

Regrets with selling before but that is in the past. As of now, I just want to accumulate more preparing for something larger that may happen.

Regarding how I got bitcoin before, it was all faucets.
Never really trusted the technology in the start since there are a lot of negative feedbacks and also videos in Youtube that seems frustrated of how the price turned down in an instant.
So back to faucets, before I could hoard like 300k satoshis in just one day and I am not even doing it the full 24 hours. But now that wont happen anymore even if you do it for a very long time.
Better take jobs that pays in bitcoin and keep it until it could be used in a better way.

A few friends, a few families, and a few encounters on the internet made me discover Bitcoin. My first encounter with Bitcoin is not so special, not even memorable. It is the first deeper encounters with Bitcoin that made me get into it finally.

My regrets are more interesting. But I've moved on. I regret not converting many of my altcoins to Bitcoin when they were still valuable. Many of them are now dead. Thousands of USD are lost in the process. I also regret selling BTC when the price was very low and not selling when the price was extremely high. Greed and fear are two things that turned me away from reason many times in the past. I've had trading regrets also.  But they were all lessons now.

I actually I join here year 2017 was the year of the great bull run which the price of bitcoin hit the 20,000$. My experience in bitcoin was totally good and when I start here I can earn some extra money that can be used in my study. One of my regrets is I didn't buy more bitcoin in the year 2017 where is the year I started. I know some of the members here have a good experience with bitcoin simply because some of them earn millions of dollars when the price hits 20,000$. As of now in my country, we have now bitcoin atm but it is too far in my home that's why I usually use cryptocurrency exchange to buy bitcoin.

In my experience, I first started seeing this bitcoin thing in the news but I definitely don't have any idea about cryptocurrency and i do some research about it. In that time my only goal is to gain profit in this thins because some of my friends tell me that they are earning money in bitcoin but I was not aware of this forum. I started in this forum just like what they tell me and i guess it works out really good in my first try and tells me to join a signature campaign also at that time I already starting to earn money and invest it in bitcoin. The profit and not that good that it was overwhelming especially when you realized that you are already earning money. Bitcoin that years increases its price very high and that's when everybody gets hype in bitcoin.
I'm sure it is in early 2017 or some part of 2017, Bitcoin showed up on news consecutively on news, tv media's and other social media around 2017. It also showed up on our countries tv media channels. The price consecutive ascending price is the main reason that triggers every media to give awareness about bitcoin. It triggers people in the world to know about bitcoin and how can they make money from it. It is the thing that happened to you.

I started to know bitcoin in 2013 and it has too much less value if you compare it to today's price and bitcoin ain't famous at that time. I don't earn too much profit from bitcoin before because of its value but It's an advantage to know bitcoin on an early stage. Then I've stopped using it for a long time because of personal problems and triggered myself to resume until now.

Was doing a lot of buying and selling on small hobby P2P forum. Recall is was about mid 2013, had a listing for sale asking $1200 and person pm's me asking if I would take BTC. Never heard of it before, did some searching on the internet and after about 30-45min laughed at the idea and declined the offer. Wasn't till about early 2017 and popped up again with the talking heads on TV, started to slowly pay more attention and study the blockchain space on a regular and more consistent basis. Hindsight is always 20/20 but always best to keep looking forward.

I don't know what happens beyond in the year 2014 and what processing when buying bitcoin. I am a late adopter of bitcoin and that was in the year 2014. All I know is getting on airdrop and joining bounty programs back then. Through that scenario one of my friend told me about this forum and join the conversation for possible getting free Bitcoin. But the saddest part is I don't have savings until now in Bitcoin even though I got them free. Probably, at that time there's no ATM machine for Bitcoin and not so well know and no payment process adopted.

This is the 11th year anniversary of the publication of the WhitePaper for Bitcoin and many members of this forum are remembering this hallmark event, in a way celebrating this day. I am not sure if there is already a Bitcoin Day but if there is not then we can consider this one to be. I was introduced into Bitcoin and cryptocurrency for that matter way back in 2016 all because I was enticed to join a revshare program which eventually became just another scam. At that time, I remember that the price of Bitcoin was just a little more than $500. After that I lost most of my Bitcoin but I decided to accumulate more via the usual bounties route converting the tokens or coins I got into BTC as soon as possible. Then 2018 came and I decided to let go all of my BTC around March for personal reason, the price was hovering over $3000. That was a sad day for me because two months after, the price jumped into $6000. Nevertheless, I continued scouting for opportunities to earn BTC and that brings me to the present. I now have a little hoard of BTC and I am strongly hodling them for the possible bull run in 2020. I know this is not the most ideal way of thinking but we have to be honest that we all want money here, though I am not limiting my knowledge on Bitcoin as I am aware of its game-changing benefits and advantages.

There were many lessons I learned when I was new to bitcoin. It's just frustrating, because it was so easy to earn bitcoin back then. If I just remembered that old memory, I would probably be rich today. But it's a memory and it will be a story that will never be repeated.

I was introduced to bitcoin in 2016 in an underground group that discussed ransomware and redeemed using bitcoin, then I was interested in bitcoin and learned it early in mid-2017 it was my victory day because I played airdrop, bounty, faucet to get bitcoin and I got around 0.02 btc at that time, but for this year airdrop, bounty and faucet are too many scams, because they are more concerned with the developer than the members
