Just another example of why democratic socialist governments are so much more progressive than the USA.

Happy Oct 17th my fellow Canadian smokers!

Well, we could light up some buds, and still go for locking her up ...

...remember the "lock her up" chants, btw?
When the Ford case came out....

You got a point there. Now lets lock her up.

I would like to thank the Republican party personally!  The USA economy as always is dragging the Canadian economy right along with it and we are enjoying the absolute shit out of it!....
I think I might be becoming a republican as it is proving to be lucrative for me and I don't have to rack up the deficit in my country to enjoy the benefits.

Trump: make america pay to make other countries economies boom!

Making Canada Great Again?

Make Canada Greater with American tax payers dollars?  FUCK YA I love that, the more I think about it.

The tax cuts to the rich put money right into the pockets of the wealthy.  Virtually nothing went to the workers.  Trickle down economics is a lie used by wealthy people to trick workers.

lol presumption of innocence only applies to criminal charges.  Not one person said he should have been charged with sexual assault (remember the "lock her up" chants, btw?).  I don't know if you don't understand what presumption of innocence means or were being intentionally dishonest.
When the Ford case came out, the Democrats declared Kavanaugh guilty even before they heard the whole testimony and it's something that's going to hurt them in the long run in my opinion.  They were ready to destroy him just because Trump nominated him.

So thank you to the middle and lower class for paying for the tax cuts to the rich that have your economy booming and your deficit ballooning.

Trump loves to talk about how Americans get a raw deal paying for everything well guess what you guys are all paying right now for my booming economy, thank you very very very much.

You going to seriously argue Canada's NOT THE ENEMY?

Those socialist pigs must die every last stinking one of them  Wink I hear they are hard to kill though with that awesome healthcare!

Back in the day this seemed like a far fetched comedy, today, not so far fetched LOL if you Allan Alda Trump what I mean!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jf8Bt4gD9Y

LOL

"How did you know that was a nuclear facility?"
"Well they fooled us on that one it was actually a hospital, but it was a hell of a strike"

Now look — we KNOW it was the top secret centrifuge facility. If just a couple argued this was ridiculous, that'd be the natural outliers. But when a concerted effort is made to get whole bunches of people to argue, you know it's very, very suspicious. BINGO! You know you were right.

And there's a lot more of those fake hospitals up in that frozen wasteland.

Yes it is a BIT like "Allah Akbar!" but very different. "Alan Alda!!!"

By the way...keep this quiet...but we need to check those Canadian Vet Clinics...

I think we need a wall on the 49th parallel and we should make the turtles pay for it!  Those god damn Canadians coming across the border HAS to be stopped at all costs!

Trump term 1, wall on the south.

Trump term 2, wall on the north.

I'm feeling safer already.

Wait...there's weed on the OTHER SIDE of both those walls...
I suspect that changing the laws/reducing the red tape around deporting illegals will make the wall redundant. A southern wall may still be built, however the law will no longer give incentives to cross the border illegally.

GOP falls for fake news consistently.

I wish people would wake up and see the tyranny that currently exist.

Instead, the chat online detailing the evidence of this tyranny is drown out by trolls spreading misinformation.

This is the state of politics today.

Mod's Note: At the request of a user I have split the OT posts from the original thread so the OT debate can continue unmoderated!

Might as well make this the "shoot the shit" about Amercian political tribalism, support trump, impeach trump etc etc thread!  I will just let the thread havea go in any old direction people feel like talking about so nothing would really be off topic as long as it's in relation somehow to american politics!

BTW legalize fucking weed already man, it being a federal sched 1 narcotic is just retarded LOL, its 2018 you know!

Also you americans are kind of ignorant when it comes to this shit.  If I buy and smoke week legally in my home country then I am technically never allowed to travel to the US because I have broken one of your federal laws, not in your country but in my country...

If I am asked at the airport if I have ever smoked weed and I answer truthfully yes, I am black listed and not allowed to enter the US again.  If I lie to the federal agent and say no, I have now committed a federal crime in the USA and broken your laws.

I think we need a wall on the 49th parallel and we should make the turtles pay for it!  Those god damn Canadians coming across the border HAS to be stopped at all costs!

Leave it up to the states, and take a huge win. That's my view at least.

Taking cannabis products off the federal "Narcotics schedule" effectively does this.

I believe that could be done by the agency, or by an executive order. It does not require legislation. That's very difficult because of the huge amounts of money going into the legal system from prosecuting these minor offenses.

By now there is likely an established pro-marihuana lobbying effort in the District of Criminals, which will help.

Modern conservatives are by no means united in keeping weed illegal; I have always thought the largely Democratic lawyers and court systems were the major factor that kept it illegal. It's a huge money machine for those jerks.

I would also like to see Trump move in the direction of legalization. At this point there is sufficient experimentation on the subject by various states to determine a reasonable federal policy. Scientifically it has no business on the narcotics list.

While I do without a doubt agree with you on policy, I do think that he can keep his own people happy (the old style conservatives, not the modern ones) by simply having the federal gov not have a stance on marijuana and leaving it up to the states.

The biggest issue with Marijuana policy is the issue of the government having differing stances. As marijuana shops (or any companies they do business with these places) can't use banks and are subject to RICO civil suites due to breaking federal code. If this federal code wasn't there, this would be a huge plus.

Leave it up to the states, and take a huge win. That's my view at least.

Except legalization of marijuana at a federal level. IMO if Trump enacted this policy (I am not holding my breath) he would in my opinion have an instant lock on 4 more years short of starting a nuclear war. The left really wants it, the right either wants it or doesn't give that much of a crap about it either way. The ones that do are quickly becoming history. He would take a hit from some powerful lobby groups in the prison and law enforcement industries, but this is a policy which has reached its time.

If he were to take this opportunity he could end 100 years of pain and destruction related to the prohibition of marijuana and truly make a great mark on American history.

I do think that this MAY tank his approval rating among the people that have loved him for so long, the conservatives in the Republican party. Though I do guess that the Federal government could just not have laws on it, and let the states set the laws without the federal government having any sort of ruling on it.

Rather then the federal government legalizing it, and forcing states to legalize it as well -- if you understand what I mean on this. As I do think that this would keep the states rights conservatives happy, and open Trump up to a massive amount of love among moderates and liberals.

I think she tried to the best of her abilities, and to most, that would indeed appear like she wasn't even trying.

But the American people voted in the person that lied the least. Look at his follow through on campaign promises.

Whatever facts you were presented with you'll always see Trump as the evil villain...

Exactly this, if you were to actually go through all of the Trump campaigns promises you'd see that they've fulfilled a good deal of them with a RAZOR THIN majority in the Senate. He's done a great deal, but the people that hate him are just going to continue to hate him -- there's nothing that can be done to fix some peoples hate.

That's just how it goes.

All this division over Kavanaugh would melt in a haze of smoke and tax dollars.
