I think she tried to the best of her abilities, and to most, that would indeed appear like she wasn't even trying.

But the American people voted in the person that lied the least. Look at his follow through on campaign promises.

Whatever facts you were presented with you'll always see Trump as the evil villain...

Exactly this, if you were to actually go through all of the Trump campaigns promises you'd see that they've fulfilled a good deal of them with a RAZOR THIN majority in the Senate. He's done a great deal, but the people that hate him are just going to continue to hate him -- there's nothing that can be done to fix some peoples hate.

That's just how it goes.

On watching most of the debates, although I would have liked Bernie to be the Prez, but I guess the election boiled down to two liars and the one who could do so more convincingly won.

I blame Hillary for that one... she didn't even try

Trump said all these things that were obvious lies, but at least he said them... not everyone knows a lie when they see it, and he convinced enough dopes that he would be a champion of LGBT rights, etc... obvious lies

Hillary on the other hand, didn't even try... she didn't even pretend that she would be on the side of the working class... her only message was "vote for me, I have a vagina"

No, the republicans didn't want Merrick Garland on the court, so they just held out and waited. ....

And the Democrats didn't care because Hillary was a sure bet winner.

Wait, that didn't happen?

This made me LOL so hard; out here a political expert had predicted that Hillary will poll atleast 15% more than Trump.

I love it how goog that once was a paragon of honest internet search now can offer articles titled "Brett Kavanagh is rapist" (depending on who you are, obviously, so not to get caught immediately) ON TOP of their search results...
How simultaneously goog, fb and twitter are caught misbehaving with customers' data...

Google may have had (semi)honest search results at one time, but it was a government/corporate intelligence hybrid project from day one. Look at who In-Q-tel is. They, like several other organizations like them were simply designed as a way around the constitutional protections people in the USA have by law. Oh look it is a private company so it is ok! Uh... no.

Meanwhile they hoover up every detail of all of our lives, and sell the database to the highest bidder. You know what we should add on top of this dumpster full of oily rags? A culture of guilty until proven innocent mob justice like this whole contrived assault on Kavanaugh. Before you light up that match, remember you are the oily rag in this scenario.

No, the republicans didn't want Merrick Garland on the court, so they just held out and waited.  They didn't go around calling all the women he went to high school with to find one willing to perpetrate a political hitjob.  Only democrats are that desperate for power.

Republicans could "hold out" on Garland because they had the majority. Similarly, they were desperate to push Kavanaugh through quickly because they fear losing the majority and being "garlanded" by Democrats.

You know how they got the majority? Oh that's right people voted them in to represent them.

When it is Republicans it is always "treason" and when it is Democrats they are just "exercising their rights".

The irony is that their own antics may have blown all chances they had to take the senate.  The Creepy Porn Lawyer just had to go full retard and light the fuse.  Can we all agree to not give that schmuck any more attention?

no way!

I just love having a Creepy Porn Lawyer (note the capitalization) on the "other side!" Particularly one that abuses and mistreats women for political purposes.

Note he's a "Privileged old white man" but they don't talk about that.

Clinton *cough cough*

The media continues to exonerate Clinton for his sexual assault and rape allegations, while continuing to ignore corroborating witnesses and the physical evidence.  None of which exist in teh allegations against Kavanaugh.

Where were these baying hounds screaming "Believe Her" when Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and the others were telling their stories of Bill's misconduct?  What about Karen Monahan who told her doctor about the abuse, and who's friends saw her with visible marks from abuse at the hands of Keith Ellison?  Why don't they believe her?

Why did the stories about Kavanaugh have such a suspicious timing to them?

Hypocrisy check:
Would the people posting here be making the same argument if Kavanaugh was a liberal appointment by the Democrats ?....

Nobody would suggest that.

The two parties have largely differing modus operandi.

Although the Republicans might "smear someone" by noting they were a past member of the Communist party.

The reason they would not try to smear based on sexual abuse allegations is because all that only works in one direction. If you're a democrat you don't even get media attention, it gets buried.

American politics - where reality is conflated with fiction. Where the political parties are paid by the same corporations but hate each other with vengeance.

Unfortunately when there is trail by media or like with Senate questions - the truth is less important to the people asking the questions than the desired outcome - the truth becomes incredibly blurred.

- What is happening to the accuser is exactly why the victim probably didn't come forward in the first place.
A criminal investigation is unlikely to lead to a conviction due to the lack of corroborating forensic evidence.

- What happened to the accused where the accusation was made during a crucial political appointment is exactly why people have doubt.
Both sides of the political spectrum have been caught making smears before.

With lawyers and PR the perception has become more important than the truth.

The timing is clearly political, and will probably result in all accusers of these types of crimes having less credibility.

The claim in itself is not credible IMO, it is missing too many details and it doesn’t look like it can be corroborated.

I think there will be pressure on a small number of democrats to vote for him who represent “red” (leaning) states.

I think this might have had a bigger chance of derailing the nomination if it didn’t come out at a clearly politically motivated time.

lol presumption of innocence only applies to criminal charges.  Not one person said he should have been charged with sexual assault (remember the "lock her up" chants, btw?).  I don't know if you don't understand what presumption of innocence means or were being intentionally dishonest.

"lol" indeed. It was a show trial. Democrat senators are calling Kavanaugh "dangerous". Others are calling for Collins to be "hounded forever".
Mobs are intimidating and harassing anyone right wing. It's not a good look. China are jumping on it to show how US justice has become corrupt.
I'm not American, and it looks awful from over here.

Funny how the rules only seem to apply when the left want them to apply. When they don't their warped postmodernism retarded minds can justify pretty much anything, even if it breaks rules they agree with.

You people are morons and a threat to society itself. To a postmodernist, all you have to do is question everything until everything makes no sense then you make your own rules! Of course then you break those rules the first time it becomes inconvenient, but those are the wonders of Marxism.
