You should never invest all your money in just one coin. This is very dangerous, because it can be dumped and you will get significant losses. You should always diversify your risks.

ethereum is possessing good market value but I think it is not good to put all your money in a single coin, invest in various altcoins which are having good market potential like bitcoin, litecoin, monero, IOTA, so that if one drops you can gain from the other. i see the future. ether will be 1k$ in 2018.
Ethereum is a good coin that you should invest in but if you should not invest all your money because the life is unpredictable before. When you join cryptocurrency market you just should invest amount of money which you accept lost, this will make for you feel to comfortable when its price is down and more clever when the price is up
I don't think it's a good idea to buy it now, Ethereum lately has proven that it is not ready yet and the recent crash caused by that game could bring down his marketcap. So probably the best thing to do is to buy it at every dip a little at a time, maybe

You are totally risking all your assets, do not invest all of your money and yes, it can climb up to 1000$ but it is not necessary to invest all your money only invest some of it to prevent lost of investment. 
Ethereum is the best Altcoin to buy and put all your money in it because it is the number one Altcoin and proven good and stable price and value. If I choose to invest in just only two coins then I should choose Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Although it is the best altcoin, and I agree with that totally. I don't agree that you should invest "ALL" your money with them right now. Bitcoin's price has been staggering, and it's on a roll. Unfortunately, it's affecting the prices of altcoins across the market. Given that we won't know when bitcoin's rise would halt or neutralize, it might take time for altcoins to actually recuperate and regain it's value.
I think it us a good idea to invest your money in Ethereum now. It is having good market potential and its cost is increasing day by day which can make it a coin of this era. I think holding your eth can make you rich very fast because it is creating good profit out of it. Just buy them with no waiting more because if its price will increase in future then it will make you loose some money if you dont buy them now.

Of course you can do so because there is a very big chance that the ethereum will grow well in 2018 and you will make a profit. But you can never be 100% sure about everything, so I would still buy 1-2 good coins to avoid risks

It can be more, remember that bitcoin is gold then eth is silver
if i were you, i would not put all money in Ethereum, " never put all eggs in a basket" . You think ETH will be $1k in 2018, you can spend about 50 -60% your money for it, the rest should be invested other good altcons. This is my personal opinion, hope to help you 
It is not a best idea to invest all of your money in a single coin because the price of crypto currency is unpredictable,but ethereum is a good potential coin it may reach upto $2K in 2018 not nothing is sure so you just invest that amount you can afford to lose.
you should have in a different cryptocurrencies, all this is still in development, god knows what will happen with all this, and so many currencies are still coming and also what will happen, when the bitccoin, or some other currency takes over to be used in some countryes as the eaziest option for payment. But still, you should know what you hold. For now, i still think BTC ftw
