Divide our investment portfolio in both, will make us not lose the oportunity. Because, both clearly the most superior cryptocurrency that always exist for longrun.

I think you can invest on both bitcoin and
ethereum because we all know that these
coin have a nice future.

Bitcoin should have a higher value when compared to Ethereum in the next few years because it's more stable and user friendly. The price of Ethereum should get over $1,200.

When investing, I’m a big fan of diversification of portfolios. I believe that both Ethereum and Bitcoin offer value, albeit in different ways.

Even though Ethereum is positioning itself to become a large platform, the fact that Bitcoin is so well known makes it the first place where people invest.

Since you believe in both. Why don't you keep both. You knew that they have a good platform and aim to become the best. So better to keep both and keep buying. Both are really good for long term investment.

if you believe in diversification then its better to have both cryptocurrencies to avoid losing out on your investment when you put your eggs in one basket but from my observation ethereum is not as volatile as bitcoin is, and equally eth is not as profitable as btc .

I'm planning also to convert my bitcoin to eth since eth price is pumping right now. im having a problem on what to choose the right crypto for me since im just new here.
but from the two virtual currencies  bitcoin is the biggest gainer when we talk of a pump, eth to stable and slow to gain!

First of all you have to be patient. The imported chips will probably reach one over time will grow. Name me a fair deal.
I started this way myself and now I am satisfied with my profits.

Converting Bitcoins to Ethereum might cause you to make a good profit in short-term, if you are lucky. But I thing it is not a good idea. Bitcoin is becoming more well-known day by day and the best thing you can do is just hold any BTC you have.

I agree with you, bitcoin is in the leader position as the digital gold, and the ETH is useful for ICO project, so I think the best way to convert is joining some promising ICO project and make big profit.

Coincide with my thought,  bitcoin had already stablish his name. And many users of cryptocurrency, was had a huge trust in BTC. Unlike the etherium, it was just starts in making name in the digital market.

Aside from that , BTC has a greater value than ETH. You can higher profit in BTC than in ETH.

I think bitcoin will die of natural death. There is no technology and development possibilities.
They will survive such coins as Ehereum, Eos Waves. At bitcoin transfer fees of small sums kill.

When investing, it's better to diversify portofolios and collect Cryptos as much as possible but it becomes ridiculous asking community about to buy and what to convert. This forum is for enthousiasts and people looking for knowledge but since the ICO boom, we see that the majority are noobs asking what to trade and how to be millionnaire in few hours. If you don't know whether to hold your bitcoin or to convert them into euthreum then you should search for other real activities; would more profitable for you (noob) without annoying others and stuck the forum with non-used Data.

Ethereum is going to take a big leap when they get all of their updates sorted out. I think ETh is going to be a bigger gain then BTC.

Buying ICO via bitcoin and $ start switching to ethereum payments, this is a sign that they will be very popular to use because many projects choose to switch to eth-based markets such as etherdelta, volume levels that prove eth has a bright future. I'm not saying they will outperform bitcoin but you have to start conversion gradually from now on.

Everyone has there own strategies here, but I like the following breakdown for my own portfolio:

50% BTC

20% ETH

10% XMR

20% Speculative

Now if I hit on one of my spec coins, I'll take my original investment out once it has produced 1000% ROI and let the rest ride

 Cool Cool Cool
That is the right approach, that way if for some reason you lose all your money at worst you just wasted your time but you did not lose money, I have the same philosophy, I’m invested in several different coins with about 55% on bitcoin but if one of my investments skyrockets as I think they can then I’m going to keep my investment for some time but after I reinvest my profits then that will be the time to withdraw and dedicate myself more seriously in investing in altcoins and icos.

I like this segregation too. There are 4 portfolio I have:
40% - HODL,
30% - trading,
20% - ICO investment,
10% - risky operations.

It all depend on your investment strategy. If you want to scalp then BTC is the way , buy at dump and sell at pump. Just take for instance the fork period of July ending BTC dumps to $2800  I bought at that rate and post fork it pumps to $4850 and i sold then. Then came China and ICO BTC dump to $2999 and after  it pump to where we are now $4145. But if you are for future investment then Ethereum is the way. Ether has the potential of moving up.

My brother is all about BTC, I am all about ETH. I do agree BTC is more stable but I think gains could be lot higher on ETH:)
I'm for ETH.

No, bitcoin has a more stable future than ethereum considering the fact that bitcoin is wildly used and accepted by lots of business, if i were in your shoes i will not trade my bitcoin for ethereum unless for a special purpose.

I think you should hold the bitcoins as it would be more valuable and profitable in the long run if we compare the same with Ethereum. You can invest extra money into the ETH but don't loose the bitcoins at this moment.

Bitcoin or Ethereum is good so it's doesn't matter if you hold both of them

I feel if you have bitcoins you can sell the same and buy on low's you will make money to your portfolio than investing on any coins.

I have noticed the crypto market is totally dependent on the BTC and BCH. Playing with them is safer for you and you have nothing to loose as you have already made profits and now you can play with with profits and move them to ALt coins slowly.

Dependent on BCH? No it doesn't knowing that it is just an another altcoin in the market and I cant see that crypto market is totally dependent on it even on bitcoin itself. It might give some effects but not on general.I would rather put up some money on ETH too rather than converting my bitcoin to Etherium knowing that bitcoin do have the potential to make us rich too.
