I personally like BTC and BTC-based altcoins such as Litecoin or BCH for example, they're more stable and have more growth potential than ETH-based altcoins AND TOKENS.

Now rate BTC/ETH is good to invest in my opinion. If you look at weekly charts it is in downtrend and chances that it will recover or even make a new ATH on Metropolis is big. Offcourse if no more bad news willl come.

So, just invest 50% not all your BTC. Keep look at promising ICOs , some of them are hot and could give even more.

No, you should never do that, it is too risky.. I only exchanged 50% of my funds to ethereum. I am keeping only 10% in btc, and the other 40% is diversified in different coins that i trust so much.
Ethereum is probably one of the best cryptos that are on the market right now, but you can not convert it all to this one, doesnt matter how good it looks, what is gonna happen to you if ethereum dropps to $100 suddenly?

I think converting a fraction of your Bitcoin to Ethereum would be good idea as there is potential in Ethereum.Investing in both coins would be profit able as both coins have grown like anything this year ethereum from $9 to $390 and bitcoins from $900 to $4800.It is clear that bitcoins are better but underestimating ethereum might cause you to regret in future. And also that both coins price have dropped it is best time to buy them.

Its a trade between short term profit and long term asset. The cap that BTC gives the confidence that its value will go up, as the years progress.  You should rather think on investing in few other listed ALT Coins that had a successful ICO with a promising product and team. This will give much better returns than Ether in short term.

I would definately not trade bitcoin for ethereum, or for any other crypto currency. Potential for profit is too good to pass up.

There are a lot of coins to put your investment to. Ethereum is one promising altcoin that you can lean on. It is on your verdict if you wanted to turn it to bitcoin. But I think bitcoin is more promising than Ethereum.
Both coins are good and if you do have the money, why not invest on both coins? These coins are promising and i cant really compare these two since they are on different platform which i cant see any competitions on here. Prices of bitcoin as of now is dropping same as ETH too which we should see as the best time to buy cheaper coins because later on prices would really recover.
Simple he want to ask us if have a case you just can choose one of them, what coin is your choice? Ethereum or Bitcoin? For me, I like Ethereum than Bitcoin because I love ICO market, it helps me making profits better than trading Bitcoin/Altcoin many much. Cool

I think right now it is bad option to convert your Bitcoin into ETH because already Bitcoin price is increasing so already you will be in profit.
There are chances that the price of ETH will also increase but it will take a lot of time and you need to have patience.

It is like buying ethereum coin or exchange it! for me it is good if you have this all crypto-currencies because the price of this crypto is still pumping for now! just buy altcoins and trade it for a better price and convert it to bitcoin later.

When investing, I’m a big fan of diversification of portfolios. I believe that both Ethereum and Bitcoin offer value, albeit in different ways.

Even though Ethereum is positioning itself to become a large platform, the fact that Bitcoin is so well known makes it the first place where people invest.
there is a great possiblity that the market will go down, and btc will keep more value than eth, so i suggest you not do this

My advice is to divide your portfolio between these coins if you want to reduce an investment risks.
As for me I'm fully at altcoins.

If to invest smart contract ethereum maybe that's a good idea. But if to hold and sell it in the future maybe for the time now is not right. Because seeing ethereum growth can still be practically stable and there is no high surge

It depends to the situation. And you should think first of what is more reliable if it is bitcoin or ethereum. And Ethereum is good way to earn profit, but as you can see bitcoin is pumping in the market and being the number 1 in all cryptos thats why you should base it imn the situation of it. Because even though bitcoin is the king of crypto it doesnt mean that ethereum is under it in fact ethereum is rising and increasing in all areas. But with me, bitcoin really is the best coin to invest because it was proven trusted and still dominating arround the world,  These two coins offers everyone a better future if we will invest time and money I know that we will soon reap the fruits of success from it. In terms of market cap ETH follows BTC and I think this coin has potential too and I believe that people believing on this coin has bright future especially if they are going to hold much of it and wait until they will get a lot of profit.

There is no need to convert bitcoin into an etherium. Although these are both promising coins, however, based on a very high rate of bitcoin compared to other altcoyins, including the etherium, in percentage terms it gives a big profit.
Due to fall down of bitcoin price I think it's better to invest it into altcoin, also ethereum is a good choice to invest because their price is increasing. Moreover, in my opinion it's better to invest in multiple section of crypto currency to sustain the daily or weekly profit.

just follow your heart and insting , Ethereum is a good future coin , but Bitcoin is the largest of all of altcoin , do the thing that you think it's the best ,.
Following your heart and instincts is a sure recipe to lose all your money, trading and investing is about math, about watching the charts and by using the tools given to us by other people to try to determine which way a coin is going to move, also you need to know about the history of a coin in order to know if the market is bullish or bearish about a coin in a particular moment.

You are absolutely right. With that being said, my suggestion to OP is to keep his BTC.
In the past, Popular exchanges got hacked, big btc websites got taken down. All these things you would of thought would of negatively impacted BTC's price.
They did...
BUT the price change was so small, it didn't really matter.
BTC went right back up to it's normal price and stabilized every time.

It would take something so catastrophically improbable for BTC to become invalidated by a price decline.

TLDR; OP Keep your BTC, you will thank me in a year or 2.
The price of bitcoin has gone up almost 5 times just in this year, so you can do a lot worst than to hold your bitcoin, however I also think there are some good opportunities out there, so if someone is willing to take a risk then you could invest in some new coins that have not pumped yet, that way when they do, you can easily make a lot more money in a short amount of time than what you could do otherwise.
