You should go to college. Life is not all about what material things we can acquire. Learnings are essential and we can get them as we continue to study and learn. Go ahead and study! Smiley You'll reap the harvest for as long as you study hard and focus on it.

well you should still go, there is not much assurance what you will become in the future, but it is better to take an immediate actions or set some parameters in order for you to be prepare in the future. just do not pressure yourself on school, remember going to school is not about cramming but set your goals into learning and obtaining something in life such as education and diploma, which are very important, you may not need it by now but maybe in future

Of course you should...
Undegraduates do find jobs especially if 5hey are skilled...
But we cant deny the facts that those who have graduated find a better job..
They will always have an edge in job occupations...
So go to college i say...
That's not true. It depends a lot on your field, your grades, the college you attended, practical experience and other factors. In most situations a degree from the US isn't worth it due to the outlandish tuition fees.
True, graduates and have a degree are the priorities than the people who have no degree even you have the skills more than the graduate that was the truth that we need to accept in every country that we belonging.

Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

You should really consider going to college and finishing a degree. Nowadays, people are competitive, so it's hard to find a job if you weren't able to finish any degree. It's better if you would have an edge if ever you will find a job someday. It will take you far in the future if you finish a degree.

I think that here you need to decide what's more important so you do not regret it later. If you need a good job, then you need to go to college, and if you want to become a rich businessman, then you can not waste time on college.

Even if you want to start a career in business, a college degree may be of great use. In business, you need to deal with all sort of people, from different backgrounds. 3-4 years in college will be helpful in order to gain such knowledge, on how to deal with people.

Really depends what you want to do. Many things you can learn on the internet.

Starting a business is a much better idea in my opinion.
The big deal is that not every single thing around internet is true, there are tons of fake data.

If we finish college there is a lot of opportunities that will come to you. You can apply in a prestigious company where there is high income that can support your family.   Other people will not underestimate us because we have learning. And last our parents and family will be proud because we are successful now. So I suggest that you should go to college to finish your studies.

We should all finish college since it is the most important thing invested by our parents. Being in college mold us to have huge intelligence and capacity to learn lots of things.
Studying will give us brighter future and better career.
So I agree with the first post, we should all go and finish studies.

You should man. Well it's really up to your discretion and to your position whether you can afford to go to or not. But if you really want to go to college the go on man.

There's always a way if you really want to and in these times, its highly advisable to make efforts to go to college. You'll be thanking yourself after a few years if you put in effort to study. Unless you're planning to set up your own business. Companies put priorities for people who graduated college for employment

College is the one that will help you in your future. Maybe some college offers expensive amount of tuition, but it is not the reason why you should stop. If you finish college, you will have a better life like you can work in a company that offers large income and you will experience better future. But if you not finish it, you will regret that you did not go to college. So I suggest that each one of us finish our college degree.

Yes, you may still find a job even if you did not go to college..
But we cant deny the fact that those who graduated in college has an edge compared to those who doesnt in terms of finding a job.
Cheesy

You're right , if you have enough money to go in college why not, it is better to study college, because it needs to find a job, but not all in college have a job. Some of my friends who are graduate in college most of them are do not have work, so its not only in learning in school, That's how people value the educated.

Depends on what you want to do with your life. If you're looking to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc - then college is a must.

If you're interested in a trade, there's plenty of well paying jobs that don't require you to spend four years in a classroom.

If you do go, go to the most reasonably priced one you can find with a good reputation and put in the effort so that you can get a decent job and pay the loans off quickly.

Even for other professions, such as business or army, the college degrees will come in to use at some point of time. Going to college is a unique experience, as it allows an individual to interact with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Yes some of the job offers now accepts a college degree graduate even you are not exactly in that field a good background graduate will put you in a higher position in job ,unlike those who did not step in college will have a hard time to find a good job with a big payment .

Precisely, some of this job require a specific college credits to be eligible for the spot. Well, IMHO If I have the money and I'm still at a young age I'll do the same thing, to go to a college and finish with a degree. Based on my experience, education is really worth it to have these days. It will be really hard to pursue your dreams if you don't have any educational accomplishment. It's a real deal that a person should take.
