At the moment I think you should invest in bitcoin. Altcoin is in a downtrend. Pass this stage, You may inves to altcoin or ico. Because investing in the moment is very easy to lose capital and not get high profits. Risk is too high

Invest in the ICO allows you to have the best potential probably that Bitcoin cannot offer. Diversifying the risks is better, so invest in ICOs and major crypto. Spread it over and enjoy you profits when they all gain. I would suggest Liven and LA token as these are my favorite projects.

Unless it's "the" project, I wouldn't participate in an ICO. The prices have been plummeting as soon as the coins hit the market. Research the project you like, wait for it to hit the exchange, get it discounted from ICO price.
Many of its new ICOs are currently unreliable, some of them containing fraudulent elements that will trap your money and efforts without providing good feedback. You have to be careful about this because it is currently vulnerable and it is difficult to predict. Better to invest your money into bitcoin and ethereum, NEO, or EOS, which is definitely safe and can develop your investment. While ICO can you make an additional income with you participate in it.
Whatever OP mentioned there is huge risk involved in it, the best option we have is to invest in Bitcoin because already the price kept increasing and there is a chance to make some decent profit. ICO and altcoin are very risky if you don't choose the right coin for investing.

In any invested there is always a risk, so it takes courage, wisdom and right information on what and where you want to invest so that you will not get scum and waste your money..better to be safe than sorry..it would also be good if you have diversity of investment.
if I myself do better I invest in bitcoin and altcoin to be made in the long term because it is very profitable big enough and safe of course

Buy because you believe in the technology and the team and the community. not because someone on BCT or youtube mentioned it
Buy SafeCoins (BTC, LTC,ETH) and Mid-Risk Coins (DASH, BTS, ANS, XRP, ETC...) you know the top 20 coins.
Don't buy ICO as if you know shit
Buy during US / CHN Market hrs, more volume more dips and highs
Don't be an idiot and think you know how to day trade
Buy for the long term (it's not 3 mths/6mths. it's 3 years or 5 years )
Don't buy all at once. Phase out ur buy weekly/monthly. e.g. i want to invest 30% on whatever coin into my portfolio. put in 5% 6 times over 1/2 mth period. put in more during dips. i know you just started and you want to get in in the action quick. but do take this time to understand this market cause its fucked up
Be Brave and HODL when shit gets bad!!!

Nothing is 100% safe in the world and the risk is higher than other things becasue the high profit. But the icos are still worth our effort to make the onestment. But we need to bemore careful because there are more scams in the market. Before we make any investment, we need to find enough information abouut the coisn we have. Don't be hurry in the investment. I personally would only prefer to invest on BTC and altcoins so far, I do not have the ability to read the ICO right so far, so I'll look for recommendations from trusted people and have had experience in ICO. Investing in ICO is not recommended, because it has a big risk. Stay cautious.

study and do research before you decide to invest, do not be lazy to research the coins you want to buy, then market analysis is very important. if you find the right coin you can buy it. bitcoin and altcoin are good coins.
I invested only in few ICOs in this year, and all of them did give x3+. This is clear luck, nothing more.
BTC is a sure bet, but the max increase will be around 5-10 X (This year), where as Alts can go 10-100 X if you DYOR on the right ones
Many people said that now a days ICOs are not already safe because there are lots of scam,for me better to invest in Bitcoin and altcoins.
