Why don't you do all of these things at the same time? As for me I find ico with strong community, famous fonds like Kenetic and challenging entry. Look at Dxchain, it is really hard to get allocation, but probably it will make 3-5x once get listed.

I think that succesful cryptocurrency trader need to invest in everything he is able to, because you can never know what will be actually better for you to have for the period that comes up. ETH, BTC, ICO

I have invested in one ICO and purchased a token, the project is great and have reached a hard cap of 38 million, but unfortunately the price has dropped bad! From new year cryptocurrency market is suffering and there is a good opportunity to invest! I am selling my atv and investing in to ETH, I think the price is perfect, Bitcoin already has risen and I missed an opportunity to earn, but there is a good chance to invest even at current vitcoin price, I think in near future it will hit 13000USD

if we look at the current state, we must be really careful in investing in an ico, because I see there are some ICO who fail or even a scam. and for me the safest way to invest now is to invest in existing BTC or altcoin.

Personally, I'd chose to invest on bitcoin in the first place, overall, you can simply compare the long term growth that is has experienced in the last months, with it's ups and downs but overall there's a growth in it, altcoins on the other hand look really stagnant and slow to get some profits, ICO are good but there's alot of scams nowadays so I'd rather stay away from them.
