I invested half of my  saving ($25,000)  into ETH when it was $725. ETH has now plunged to $459. I am very worried I will keep losing money and I fear for the worst.  I want to go kill myself   Huh
Calm guy. I think the market is in a period of crisis and this is the time when most altcoin are very low price and difficult to recover during this time. If you have confidence in Cryptocurrency then it is best to forget it for at least 2 years and when you return you will get X10 profit from long term investment.

I think you create a fake thread.  Because last week you said 100000 USD worth ETH was buying in 800 dollar know I feel sad in current situation. But again this week you create same format of thread but investment and buying value is different. What purpose you are creating in this thread. Are you mad or mentally absent person just turn off your internet and take rest.

Glad someone noticed ! I was about to write the same. This guy is a pure troll and playing with people feelings... which is quite an ugly behavior.

Did you invest everything in just one coin? Because that sucks if you did that, anyways there is one thing you can do to minimise your losses and that would be to slowly buy a couple of Ethereum while the price is still low as of the moment until your losses will be lessen because you have diversified your holdings.

Don't be crazy. You have invested a big amount of money in Ethereum, which is a very high prospect altcoin. Despite the fact that Ethereum price has been dropping constantly and it has been very frustrating for a lot of investors. But, I am sure It would bounce back soon. So, don't worry have patient.

As what you have said it's your savings that you invested on ETH and for me we don't spend our savings money that's why it was called "savings" so just relax just imagine if you invested it on a bank and leave it there for a couple of years VS leave it at ETH for a couple of years. Crypto world is not a get rich quick scheme that you are thinking that if you invest $25k next month it will double, that's not what crypto is. Just get a vacation and forget that you invested on ETH and come back after a few months and you will see. Mark my words!  Grin

Is it just me or it seems you have never lost something in life that was of value?

Maybe you should consider doing something else after you sort this side (ie. market recovers, may take 1 week , may take 1 year).

The golden rules:

RESEARCH!

ONLY INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE!

Unnecessary risk, or acting as with the masses but with no concise belief and patience cannot actuate to knowledge.

Do some research do some reading, not once, a bit every day... and make sure you read both sides, pro's and con's.

And FFS, don't just take the easy way out, you can't be that weak, you have something in you, you took a risk, what did you think it will happen?

What happens when you take risk? You loose or gain. The difference is seen through patience.

Is crazy! Why do you intend to commit suicide? No matter how precious your life is. Lost wealth you can make and earn again. Eating must be won and lost. Even if all is back to zero, you still have to move on and start over. Bitcoin decreases and will increase.

You'll be fine just keep holding, it'll be back to $1000 this year with ease, it's the #1 platform coin and as all of it's ICOs are taking a correction it's being hit hard, just keep holding and you'll make a good return.

The biggest mistake people make with crypto is seeing a coin go up 100% in a short period and believing they could have had that, 100% in a year on $25k is easy money if you can keep the stress at bay, I'll be pretty confident at the end of the year you'll walk away with more than $50k, so just think of it this way.

Both BTC value will double at least and Eth sat value will climb again over the year

Well, this is the problem with people, you should only invest when you understand what you are investing
When you understand what you invest, there's no fear of it

Anyhow, i can tell you that you shouldn't be worry
I have friend who invested during $1,400 and not even selling anything yet. Next, you only invest 1/2, not full of it so i can say you are kinda safe in this case
Chill!

You sir.. it's ok, everything will not make it worse, Eth is still the one of the trusted altcoins and still has a strong price potential, which can be said it's still like following the bitcoin price movement. Well anyhow.. Eth is very popular, and it's closer to many people, it will still give you a profit oportunity, just hold it.. and it just need to be adjusted for a long term.

Yeah, don’t be stupid. Good news is you invest ETH instead of another coin, and value might go up. Bad news is you might take long time to wait and at the same time another coin value appreciates. You just lost your chance to have profit at short time. Maybe next time you have to spread out your investments risk.

Don't panic. Look at the longer-term trend. Yes we have had a couple of bad months, but this is because the December/early January rise was so high.
Give it a few months, and any price under $1000 for ETH will seem like a bargain.

To everyone who don't understand, OP just invested 50% from his saving ($25,000) so he still has another $25,000 as saving. It's too stup*d if you comit to suicide because of that amount, if you can't willing to lose your money, don't ever think to invest in cryptocurrency. This is not right place for you, mate.

What were you thinking? Money is not everything. You can always recover it in someways. In the very beginning, we've always known that cryptocurrencies were very much unstable in state. So you should have already prepared yourself for the worse. But i am always optimistic that these scenario will not last forever. Crypto market will eventually improve and much to your surprise you'll profit more than you expected. You'll see. Just be patient.

You simply made a mistake which will in turn be a life lesson. Do not invest more than your willing to lose, and don't expect "easy money". Just leave it to recover and move on.
