There is no need and boycott, in my opinion the pound project will show us how difficult it is to be centralized in a world that requires flexibility and decentralization. On the other as in the comment above, the facebook It has billions of users and this can warm the market by bringing the mass to the game we know as cryptocurrency.

What we have left is to sit back, relax and wait for the next results...

Facebook is the antithesis of everything Satoshi stood for.

Should we, as the crypto community, boycott their effort?

I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook tried to use their massive wealth and lobbying arm to try and push for laws that favored their crypto and somehow harmed others.

It wouldn't be the first time that a company had engaged in lobbying and rent-seeking to harm competitors.

I think it wouldn't go beyond that point, maybe they will play by the rules and if their coin failed, I think they would stop and do something else aside from making a new coin, it's either upgrading their app or things that are related to it. Now we can't really easily boycott something that is so famous and without prior reasons. especially facebook is a tool used by billion of users around the globe.

As people above me said just never try to buy or use it and that's more than enough like boycott facebook coin. But I'm so funny to see how facebook was urged delayed the launch of the libra coin.
We have use that will prevent facebook to do that.

I understand your concerns Since Libra is somehow centralized, but I doubt if Facebook coin (Libra) will be against other cryptocurrencies.  No matter how we put it, Libra will foster adoption mainstream since many organizations will be involved and Facebook has a very vast number of users who if they adopt crypto, it's a plus for overall crypto market.

If you think Libra coin can be more usable for you, then why you will boycott it? This is what we’re waiting for, the adoption is happening now and yet we are thinking negatively about that, if there’s no adoption then no progress in this market so i will not support this one. If you’re holding altcoins, then no reason for you to boycott Libra coin.

Its too early for saying "boucott" lets just wait what will happen to Libra in 2020halving we all know the crazy reality that Facebook is the popular social media in the internet world.
I dont see any reason why we need to use this coin if we already have a Bitcoin.

Not just their wealth but their influence to the world.
Should we, as the crypto community, boycott their effort?
I don't have anything about them and don't have plans of using or buying them once they launch.
