How can we rebrand Bitcoin if the owner is hiding. Some ICOs are actually a rebrand of Bitcoin with added features. All of them offers a decentralized solution.

I don't think that there is a need to re-brand Bitcoin because it does not make any difference as they will still works the same way.

Curious, who will do it. I do not think that Bitcoin will be ever re-branded. It is the cryptocurrency which is known as the best one. Even without any changes, it will be the same BTC loved by all.

Enlightenment Era & Civil Rights Era are two good periods to study.

Do you think Bitcoin needs some Rebranding?

Rebranding is the creation of a new look and feel for an established product or company. The usual goal of rebranding is to influence a customer's perception about a product or service or the company overall by revitalizing the brand and making it seem more modern and relevant to the customer's needs.

First off, the name is a bit confusing? - Most people see the name and associate it with some physical coin. The media is also not helping with this

perception, because with every article about Bitcoin, pictures are shown of physical Casascius bitcoins.

The other aspect of Bitcoin that can be rebranded is it's bad reputation that has been built up and shilled up ..over years.

Every company gets to a point where they need to re-think their original goals and future plans... Why not Bitcoin? We have come a long way

since 2009 and making small changes will help us to take this into a new future, without the baggage of the past.

What would the pro's and cons of this be, and also the impact?

Let's discuss  Grin Grin Grin
What's the sense of all of this? Huh Rebranding Bitcoin name? Where the heck did you get this senseless idea?
Can you explain it to me why the name "Bitcoin" is confusing so I will understand it more clearly? Huh
Rebranding or changing name doesn't make the past erased and it will remain forever even if you rebrand or rename it more than a million times as you please. This kind of idea is just a plain nonsense and will not help Bitcoin's progress or development and I guess you know nothing about Bitcoin, Blockchain and Crypto Currencies.

You just can't rebrand Bitcoin because it would require consensus where majority is agree with your "rebranding" idea. Even if majority agree, that would make confusion, community-split and maybe chain-split just because your idea.
And even if that kind of idea of rebranding is processed(and I am pretty sure that this kind of mess will never ever happen) it will make no impact with Bitcoin's overall flaws and the community will see no sense about doing it.

Rather than a re-branding, what Bitcoin needs the most is a re-denomination. Each Bitcoin should be divided by 10,000 units and the maximum supply should be 210 billion rather than 21 million. This will make Bitcoin more affordable.

Why should we need to rebrand bitcoin if it is it's identity since it was launched? From the very beginning up to where it is now, bitcoin is only the name that represents the whole cryptoworld.
In my opinion the name Bitcoin has become a popular name worldwide, beating the overall cryptocurrency name. Many people do not know the name altcoin, but certainly know the name of Bitcoin to explain digital currencies. So rebranding is not necessary, just to align with the interests of countries that have refused to be able to be used in that country.

Maybe in the future rebranding would be beneficial but as of right now I think it would only hurt Bitcoin. People only very recently started taking a much bigger interest in Bitcoin and there's plenty of people who know nothing about cryptocurrency but they've heard of Bitcoin. If we take this name and image away it would slow down the process of Bitcoin being accepted, at least for now.

There is no need for bitcoin rebranding. It already has a famous name which is strongly assosiated with crypto, blockchain, decentralization, privacy, security, etc. Furthermore, it would be difficult for the whole community to come to a consensus with a particular idea of rebranding because everyone would have their own view on it. This would only cause confusion and divide the community. Rebranding would not change the essence of bitcoin but would only lead to unnecessary disagreements.

in my opinion not. if we return bitcoin simultaneously then it will make the supply of bitcoin abundant and will worsen the price of bitcoin in the trading market. now the most appropriate is to hold our assets so that we do not lose more capital. indeed the price of bitcoin no one can predict and this is what we have to face as crypto users. we can trade to return lost capital and expect prices to rise again.

Bitcoin has already been rebranded in order to improve certain features like the transaction speed, transaction cost, insufficient transaction capacity etc. However, non of those rebranded form is still performing more than the original Bitcoin. This shows that the problem is not with rebranding of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has got an intrinsic feature of growing on its own because it seized the opportunity of being the first cryptocurrency and built a strong and supportive community. With time, Bitcoin will emerge out to be greater than what was witnessed in December, 2017.

To change the brand of bitcoin you need to get the approval of the majority of people, even people have agreed then you think it will have a confusing effect, divide it?

Rebrand Bitcoin? What for?! There's really no reason to do so. Bitcoin is well off with its original image and credibility. Its popularity shadows that of all other cryptocurrencies. Yes there have been issues and stuff, but that's all normal. Bitcoin is and will still go through the process. And by process I mean all the good and bad stuff. Bitcoin will strive and become stronger in the coming years. So there is really no need for rebranding.

I believe that this is not a good idea . Why we need to rebrand bitcoin ? There is nothing wrong about the name , we should not rebrand but rather expose .

Bitcoin doesn't need a rebranding of name, that will be like taking it back 10 years ago. Being criticized by people doesn't mean you have to change your name in order to become a new person, you can never avoid criticism and same it is with bitcoin. People, media will always have something negative to say.

I do not like that idea, in order to have popularity, rebranding is not a good solution. We must support and share bitcoin to our friends and fa,ily so that they will buy bitcoin also. If they see the good result upon investing on it then there is a big possibility for bitcoin community to grow further. If we just have a good marketing side in bitcoin definitely, price will hike and hike time by time. We just need to share its idea.

I think we do not need this idea
We are still in the process of spreading the idea and introducing bitcoin
How do you ask for a change?
This change too often will create confusion and unnecessary differences

All this ... and no single benefit of this proposal.
