We all have that thought why do Chinese people actually make it in the business world. The reason apparently is that at an early age, their parents are conditioning the minds of their children to do business in the hopes that they will actually be heirs to their family business.
In your opinion, should we be teaching them the same or teaching them to be successful employees for the sake of climbing up the economic ladder?

Yes of course , we should teach our kids to learn how to save money for their future and cryptocurrency is the best thing for that since there are a lot of students today who are having a hard time to save a lot of money because of different vices.

I would like my children to have their own business, because it is most cases better then work on a boss, but for different people it can be different too

I believe we should educate our kids about the world, good manners and teach them kindness and just open several perspectives for them. Then we should let them choose the path they want to follow in their life.

The businessman mentality is something unique.Only a minority of the people can have such mentality.
I don't think that's true.  Lots of kids start lemonade stands and the like, and kids used to have paper routes, both of which foster that "businessman" mindset.  Some people are inherently more risk-averse and even more just don't have the drive to strike out on their own but could do so if they just had a little more creativity and/or motivation.  And some folks are bursting with both of those things.

Also, what OP is talking about is kind of entrepreneurial-ism, or creating your own business instead of being an employee of a company--but a lot of CEOs didn't start the business they're the head of; they started off as a rank-and-file employee of the company and worked their way up.  That's happened more times than I can count in my readings of business books.  So I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for parents to encourage their kids to get regular jobs or to seek employment instead of starting their own business.  That's a false dilemma as far as I'm concerned.

I think, yes, teaching children to be profit-bounded and be financially wise is especially great and rather an understatement.
Though we should not shove it to their mouths, let them understand its importance but not force them; let them have their freedom to choose their careers.
And morality, good ethics should always be put over money.

Yes of course, it is good to teach children while they are still young in order for them to realize that being a businessman and employee is not easy,  they are different job but both needs effort,  patience,  hardwork and responsibility. Imagine having those abilities, but In terms of choosing their career,  let us support whatever they want to.

The employment pool trend definitely leans in favor of replacing skilled labor with unskilled labor. A highly skilled worker with a difficult to replace skillset is able to secure a good salary, benefits and job security. While workers who are easy to replace and have no specialized skills typically have none of those things.

With recent studies concluding as much as 50% of existing jobs may be vulnerable to automation, it may be better for youth to be encouraged to abandon traditional notions of job security and consider other alternative options. Businessman may need be better informed and more knowledgeable than minimum wage workers. That type of knowledge base could be desperately needed for society to function properly given recent trends where the media and news can't be trusted to inform or educate people as to which policies are best for them.

In the 1950s united states a typical worker could buy a new house, new car and support his wife without her having to work. More than 50 years later, things are very different. The idea of having a job being enough to support a family and live well may be something that will be abandoned in time as wages flatline against cost of living, which is growing at a quick and steady pace.
If cost of living is higher than salary in most firm in United States then what is the faith of people living in developing and underdeveloped countries. We all need to think fast and smart. Teach our children as well.

As the global economic crisis never fades, we should make our children ready to face this problem. And we have to counter the way of living through telling them that being an employee is a good way to survive in this world by having a company to support your needs and wants by working 8 hours a day and with basic to high compensation. But the thing is not all employees are becoming successful in life, we have to teach our children to have financial freedom and that is through investing.

I definitely think kids should be taught to be independents and do there own thing as opposed to becoming another life long worker slave. Unfortunately, schools basically train kids to be future workers, in the west anyhow.

That's true, if you are a parent already ,teach them how to be a good person how to socialize ,and how to strive in life, they will be a good leader and follower at the same time, money is not the most important thibg that a person should have the integrity as a person and how well you can be in the future. Business is just the application of the courses and knowledge that we have learnt in school.

Not all the children can be taught to be a successful businessman because there are still huge percentage of the people here in the world that prefer an employment compare to a business because that is like the safe haven for them since they know that if you have a job then you will have a fine life and you will not worry anymore but that is not the truth because it is best to be a businessman because you can have a lot of opportunities to earn more money and spend less time compare to 8 hrs work in office.

Mentality business is necessary so that later in adulthood to become an established person, for that we need to educate children about how to do business, for myself more to teach the children to be more able to live independently for his future provisions in the future.

I believe we should teach our children to how to be financially stable. That is what I have learned in one seminar I attended. Some of our parents only taught us on how to be independent but never to be financially stable or to achieve financial freedom. I just realize that the upbringing done by the Chinese parents are very beneficial to their children. They taught them at an early age on how to handle money and then later on the business.

I have a couple friends who are Chinese and I'm amazed by their parents how they teach their children about business, which is good That's why China is the world's top trader. This is totally different in Japan, people out there is a workaholic, their culture of work must be imitated by employees everywhere, their discipline and loyalty to their boss are excellent. I think it doesn't matter if you want to teach your children to have businessman mentality or be successful employee since between being a businessman and employee is a good thing, nothing wrong with that.

It is rather good to teach them the entrepreneurial skills to become good employers and not good employees. Good employers create the jobs for good employees to apply. And also it is better to shape the children in their own interests rather than shaping them to inherit a family business. Improper training and lack of genuine interests have led to the collapse of so many family businesses which never gets to pass the second generation.

If I think we are better suited to teach our children to become entrepreneurs than an employee because the employer is the boss of the employee and the businessman is the one who takes over and who gives salaries to his employees, so the employer is higher than the employee.

Why don't we leave it up to them ?
I think we should teach them how to be a good human being first and then let them explore what they like and nurture that .
What if they just want to be a dancer ?
Doing this from the start seems to be brainwashing and trust me it could have life long effects on them.
Also I think Chinese people are successful because they are hardworking.
China and Japan are the two countries I admire for their hard work ( even though China is also in a war with our country )
Let the kids enjoy what it really means to be a kid .
You know it has been some time now that china has started teaching economics to kids in kindergarten. This initiative is actually aimed to teach them the importance of money and improve their economic mind setup. The initiative was however criticized in the start by the public saying that this might lead to a materialistic society in future and they had to limit the policy to few chosen schools.
