I think it is better if we teach both because when they grow, they can use it depend on what they want in their life. Being a parent we should teach what is the best but we have no right to decide for them.

It depends upon the capability of the parents on how to handle their children's to teach whatever they teach about being successful in life, because teaching for business and become successful employee is not set generalized for every person. but basically business is essential and most important to become successful in life but the other person is contented to become employee they felt that being employee is big achievement and they felt they are successful being as employee.

Why don't we leave it up to them ?
I think we should teach them how to be a good human being first and then let them explore what they like and nurture that .
What if they just want to be a dancer ?
Doing this from the start seems to be brainwashing and trust me it could have life long effects on them.
Also I think Chinese people are successful because they are hardworking.
China and Japan are the two countries I admire for their hard work ( even though China is also in a war with our country )
Let the kids enjoy what it really means to be a kid .

Teaching child to become a good employee is a good idea and nothing wrong with it but teaching child to become a business minded person is far greater than be a good employee. So i will teach my child both but will influence him to become a business man.

Whether an employee or a ceo of a company, a child should grow up to know that they will decide on their lives. The best thing we can do is to equip them with the skills they need to face those descisions. Lastly, if you're asking how to raise a kid, then raise them not to be jerks and be considerate of other's well being. That goes a long way.

For me in my opinion its better to teach our children to be business minded someday because its better to be a boss and owned a business than to be employee and under by a boss. Chinese people become sucessfull and become rich country by being business minded thats why they are continue level up their country,economy and business.

I think we should be teach our children for them to be able to have some knowlege about bussiness or to be a successful people, so when they grow up , it is easy for them to face the business world. But then again, you should teach them in the right time don't forced them .

Yeah that's how the chinese mold their kids from a very early age and let's face it, they have a very large number of successful businessmen and women. Though I don't think it's bad as well to consider have a successful career as an employee. If they love doing something that would take them on that path, then why not. Many people gain success climbing up the corporate ladder.

both mentality are needed for one to be successful in life in the future, one must be an employee so he can experience how things work on an employee level, but it must be temporary, employment must be used as a stepping stone to achieve success in owning a business, once you gain experience and knowledge as an employee, you must strive to have your own business, its all depends on what line of business you are planning to put up

If I will have my own children in the future, I will teach them to be business minded not to be an employee. In their early age, I will let them develop their skills and think for a business they think will suite to their ability. Being successful employee is good but being employer is much better.

I agree with you man. Why teach children to become successful employees and why not employers of labour? Been an employee makes you have a mind of a slave. You can't be rich like that in life and you will keep working for others to make them rich.

True! In post socialist countries we can see that peoples still can't change their mentality and if they even don't use business skills in their everyday life it affect overall society relationship

We should really teach our Children on how to handle their finances and have be a business minded. We should make them realize the importance of being financially literate. You can actually teach your child to invest and save their money so when they grow they have the money to use for as their capital on their future business.

As an educator, we should also let our students to choose whatever they wanted to be. Being a businessman is good but take a look at the point that there is no more employee in the world, would be the production of goods and services maintain? Of course, not. We need an economy where in there is a balance between workers and employer. And for me, I will teach to them that whatever fields they are alligned, as long as they did great and there works are honourable, they should be proud of it.

It would be better if the parents would educate their children about financial education so that they will know how to handle their money properly. I have observed that those who are already financially educated at an early age knows how to handle it properly and later on in their stage in life, they most likely will become successful and more often than not, they become businessman.

Most of the advice of the parents is "go to school so that when you finish, you can find a good job" is still applicable but only to some point because you will realize that if you are working for someone else, your time is tied and you cannot just do whatever you want so it will only depend if you want to take the risk of having a business because after all, only 5 or 10% who start a business becomes successful.

some people have no courage to start their own business.they think that hard to be business man.but preparing our children since begining will help them to developt their skill and experience.
