I agree about the best bet, it's when you've planned and decided to gamble because you've allocated the right time and budget for it. It is what it is when gamblers are doing it correctly and that is when they've made the decision and that's what discipline is.
It may seem to be a small advise about avoiding to drink when you gamble but it impacts a lot whether you gamble physically or online because it can affect your decision making when you do such at the same time.

I know the feeling personally, if you have some alcohol inside you the aggressions conquers your attitude,
instead of managing your fund the right way most of the time, you exceed from your limits and lose your money.

If you have clear minds and you are good in managing yourself, playing or gambling might favor you in terms of picking the
games that you have good understanding, the chance is much better.

There are signs of addictions especially if you are no longer in control or if you can't manage exceeding from your budgets.

Theres two main costs to gambling, money and time.   Set a budget for both or either and you will likely avoid drifting into some habit that is uncontrolled.   If not especially disciplined to do either limitation then keep your bets small and varied rather then big bet on outcomes hoping for a pay off.  The best betting is regular and planned over time, avoid drinking while betting or while drunk is also advisable as that would throw the plan out the window.    Best rule overall is just have a set budget, only bet upto that point and resolve to come back another day not every game will be won.

Those are disciplined gamblers. Unfortunately, a lot are degenerate. They don't know when to stop because they are following their desires. I guess that's really hard if you are too deep in gambling. That is why, before you become one, make sure that you are still keeping track your gambling activities and self-control. Because once you break your habit, and got too deep in gambling, that's when you will have more troubles and getting out would be a challenge.

When you start winning in a roll you will forget discipline and on the next roll, you lose all. There is only one way and that is to decide how much money you want to invest in gambling? Set a benchmark and try to stick with it. I know it is hard but that is all you can do. The problem is always the temptation of winning and greed.

You are absolutely right. If a player does not have enough self-control in gambling then only a budget restriction that will stop the game automatically can help him. Or such a player needs to seek help from professionals who can help him cope with his addiction.

I guess that is happening to many gamblers because they forget about discipline after getting the win and continue for the next rounds.
All of that can help you stay away from the addiction, but it really needs a big effort to work on it as when we win some money, our passion for playing the next round will come, and we will want to get another winning.
When someone can not control himself in gambling, no matter the result, it could be the addiction already coming to him, but he did not realize.
If he is still playing gambling in the next few days and does not control for more, the addiction will become bigger and it is only a matter of time to see he will become heavily addicted to gambling.

The most serious issue is greed. There are also instances where if you lose in a roll, you will double your bet in order to recover your losses, but the result is that you will lose again, and then you will quadraple your bet in order to recover your losses, only to lose again. This is a very bad move, as well as greed, which will result in you losing a lot of money. We also tend to be overwhelmed when we win, so we overbet, which will result in a loss. So that we do not lose a lot of money, we must control ourselves and our emotions.

I would say another indicator for an addiction is if you really never can accept a loss when you gamble. I am not talking about people who don't like to lose games, nobody likes to lose games. But in gambling it is also important to be able to call it a day. Even more so in Poker when you realize you get tilted, the best thing you can do is to accept you lost and wait for another day with a better mental condition. If you just can't stop and always try to win back what you lost, I would say that is certainly one of many indicators you are at least very prone to addiction.
This is a huge red flag, I think we all have lost at some point a poker hand that was almost won and the other player had almost no chance to win it and then they did and we got mad about it, many books about poker recommend the person to skip the next few hands to recover mentally from the loss even if you have good cards, but I have seen many times when something like this happens to a player and they want to recover immediately all the money they lost, so they make yet another mistake and lose the rest of their capital because of it.

Losing to a one or two outer is devastating, especially if there is a lot of money involved. We probably all have seen it, thinking we won and then discover the last card that will make us lose to get turned over on the river. The more we play poker the more we should get immune against such bad beats. Even though we lost that pot we should always make the same decision. If we get the same situation 10 times, we would be winning 9 of them. So if we lose we should be happy to make the right call and play good poker.
Each person does have different level on giving out important with money because some would be mindful about spending too much and focusing more on prioritizing things which is more worth than on spending money into something which it isnt really needed not only limited on gambling but also in other things as well like wants in life which would really be causing too much spending.Signs of addiction in gambling is just similar
into those normal addictions like in cigarretes or alcohol which behavior is just the same but consequences or outcomes would really differ since one is basing on health and one is basing
on financial. Addiction is something you should really avoid of if you dont like to experience unfortunate moments.

Gamblers don't realize they are addicted to gambling until it's worse which they've done unthinkable already like breaking the piggybank of his kid just so he could gamble again. But you as a gambler can also notice it to yourself before you get to the worse situation like selling valuables like jewelry so you could play again.

Is seeking a new strategy or thinking of betting while you are sleeping signs of addiction? If not, what are little signs that unfold you are becoming a gambling addict?

When you carry something when you are going to sleep or in the middle of your sleep that could mean that you are very much into it if you are talking bets, rolls while you are in the middle of your sleep, it could only mean that you are very much into gambling and your conscious and subconscious minds are very much into gambling and when you are awake all you are thinking are all about gambling, this is a clear sign of addiction, and it should be address as soon as possible.

Depends on how you are thinking about gambling, if you think about it negatively because you do not to be involved in gambling all the time then it is not something considered as addiction. But if you think about it like remembering your losses, your wins, your next gambling period, your willing to recover your past losses, that makes you want to play again and again then it is what is called by addiction.

A true friend will help the gambler right from the start and will not let his friend get addicted into gambling especially if he knows what might happen to him if he gambles too much.
Unfortunately, there are some friends who will just let their friend do what they want to do even though they might end up horrible and will just help them when they are in the worst shape.

An addicted gambler needs professional help that's for sure but just seeing his family and other friends who are trying to help him is a big help for the recovery of the gambler already. Removing something that you love to do is really hard and I've experienced it too but if that would be required for a better life then I will do it. Same goes with the addicted gambler. If he realizes his wrongdoings when he is gambling then removing him from getting addicted might be painful from the start but it is easier.

Having a very supportive environment especially if a person was undergo a treatment to cure his gambling addiction is very important and very helpful. Having a good circle of friend that would remind you if they have seen a bad or side effect of gambling addiction from you is such a blessing. We as a gambler sometimes are not aware on our actions and we are not aware in ourselves if we commit our time in gambling activities more than being productive so a gentle and small reminder is a big help.

I've not experienced like I'm addicted to gambling, I've been gambling since I was a kid but have not been addicted. I'm no right man to give out advice but really if the addict couldn't control himself despite knowing he is in trouble then he really needs treatment with the help of friends and families.

If the addiction is manifested in every way the gambler does, he should be accompanied by friends who supported him and especially his family. There was a quote I've read about gambling as a family disease because even if it's just one person who got addicted the rest of the members are suffering from it.

I have fallen for that mental trap in my life, too, but I must say I really tried to get the best out of it and learn from it. Playing tilt is dumb. Especially when you play online and you opened 8 tables or so, within no time when you tilt at one table could you be destroying your position on all other tables as well. It is really important to develop the mental strength to be resistant against those tilting moments.

It is hard to accept a loss, not just in gambling but in other things. But if we are like that, that can trigger us to become addicted to gambling because we want to play repeatedly and we will not think about stopping the games for a while for our sake. If you want to recover your losses by playing more rounds, you will not have a bigger chance as your tension will be high and you can lose your control. If that happens, you will lose your money for more without you can control it. In the other case, that can make someone addicted to gambling.

make sure to keep reducing your time it allows you think for other things that may divert your attentions and from there you'll
going to see the better outcome either completely remove it from your system or you learned how to manage and control your spend time and money.

Yep, other activities will reduce your thoughts about addiction. Social interaction will be effective for eliminating addiction problems. Do not let you feel you have free time to think about your addiction. Make yourself very busy and your free time just to rest. Repeat the activity always, it will be very effective. If necessary maybe a counseling can help you to more quickly overcome addiction.
People need to be very careful when doing this, on the surface it would seem to be the natural thing to do and substitute your gambling activities with something else, but there are people that have a predisposition to become addicted to anything and as such they could become addicted to this other new activity because they have not faced directly the issues that brought them to become addicted on the first place, so people need to still look for professional help in order to avoid this to happen to them.
Tend to help yourself first and you wont really be needing some help if you do able to make yourself realize on what are those mistakes that you had committed.
Gambling addiction is something you cant know or find out before until it do happens or you had already done things which is already excessive into your own limits
specially with finances and next would be your time where you are already compromising it.Some people do easily get addicted and some people dont.
It is just a matter of self control and awareness because if you do lack on these traits then expect you would really be walking into that addiction path.

A very observant person or a friend will be able to know if his friend is having issues with gambling addiction. The constant trips to the casino, the borrowing of money getting worse and worse, gettings loans, selling stuff, and many others. Family and friends won't be able to help someone that addictive. That person in my opinion needs professional help at that point. It will be a painful process to take that addiction out but it should heal the person.
