I for myself have decided to donate these step by step for charity.

A noble gesture - please post a list of the charities you will be donating the 50%+ premine to.

I think we need a charity campaign.
It should be up to the sponsors to decide which charity they would like to support as long as the money is dedicated for charitable objectives.

The message should be: If you help others who dire need your help you can claim your share of the 611 (SixEleven) coins in return.

611 coins are rare coins; so it's a win win situation for both. The people who need our help and those who donate and get a share of SIL in return.

open issues:
  • how to setup and publish such a campaign?
  • how to ensure that donations are not subject to fraud?

You are welcome to share your ideas how to push this project.
Let's get crypto currencies out of the grey dark together and use it to make live worth living for those who need our help. Cool

Guys.. to be honest, if any of the premine is missing or quote 'dumped' - its what PatrickMacH kindly sent my way for porting getblocktemplate over, bit of housework on the code, hosted custom pool with code that i wrote solely for SixEleven. If you'd like to question any large sends; i'll confirm my own addresses to/from exchange.. he doesnt deserve suspicion guys, hes an honest dev.. and hes been quite patient with me haha

since im legendary if u wish i can hold a bit of premine for ie bounties for people [bloggers, exchange etc].
maybe this will make them calm?
i assume we need to protect market from dev dropping too much on it then we can get better exchanges

forzendiablo, are you sure?

Since the last 14 days investing into 611 coin you could have made a profit of factor 10: C-CEX chart with annotations: https://goo.gl/zwwaoX

Looking at the C-CEX 611 trade books and balance distribution you will notice that no premine has hit the market, yet.
The current trade volume is based on the daily amount of available 611 coins mined since the first announcement on bitcointalk.

Dispite of the majority of other alt coins published and traded there are only very few 611 coins available at all. Do the math your own. 611 will have to follow the laws of the market.

I can tell you for sure that I am not going to dump or drop any of my 611 coins. I for myself have decided to donate these step by step for charity.

u are right.. 611 is the only coin that keeps raising now even when BTC is on the rally.
loving it!

Looking at the 611/BTC trade pair chart on C-CEX I think 611 coin is traded reasonably. Smiley

Looking at the 611/BTC "Balance distribution" on C-CEX you should notice that there is nary a seller dropping 611 coins. The number of coins available on the "Sell orderbook" is feeded by the natural mining rate; currently about 150 SIL coins per day (declining); therefore the overall number of coins available [source: sum up the balance distribution charts] is about 27k SIL which is little less than the number of coins which have been mined since the first announcement of 611 (SixEleven) coin here on Bitcointalk.

I'm sure we are not at risk of a significant price drop at the current price level. It's simply offer and demand math.
Exactly the contrary is the case, at the current price level it's very easy to increase the 611/BTC value. Simply buy 611, the "Sell orders" will dry out shortly. Roll Eyes

we need bittrex (costs 5BTC) or Poloniex (no idea) Sad
poloniex is very hard to reach

i don't know what their requirements before adding new coin
i think they must understand about this one and consider it

Exchanges tend to stay away from coins with large premines due to the obvious dumping by devs - & seeing as this coins premine is not only massive but is also undecleared in the OP - it will always have trouble not only getting listed, but also attracting any serious traders.

It would be great if exchanges would supply information about the premines (initial fundings, etc.) for any coin listed.
As far as I know it's only C-CEX [exchange] providing a clear "Balance distribution" tab (chart graph upper right) allowing traders to check the balance distribution of the coins available for trade on C-CEX.

Serious traders take care on many aspects: coin concept, money supply, mining supply, estimated demand / supply rate, etc.
It's a matter of trust Smiley

I thought this coin had some potential as an alternative to NMC when I first came across it, until I read this:

Hey, looking through the block explorer, I noticed something that doesn't sit right with me. [...]

Exchanges read these coin threads & do some research on the coin to ensure it is worth their while listing it. Unfortunately, due to the premine & the attempts to hide it, this coin will always struggle to be adopted. Shame really, because the original idea is good.

Yes that's true. 611 had a really hard time to get listed on any exchange. C-CEX traders made the race voting 611 to #1 about a month ago.

There has been an active discussion on this issue on cryptocointalk.
Consensus: On the aspect of technical implementation and the original idea, possible premine doesn't really matter. 611 coin is working stable with no downtime since the first days. Reliability matters.

Looking at many of other coins published here on bitcointalk you will notice that the premine of these coins is way higher than 90% within the initial period of operation. They just call it ICO (Initial Coin Offerings) instead of premine or mix the premine with placebo contracts.

On GitHub (commit log) you can check that no information has been hided for 611 coin. In fact the money distribution algorithm has been adapted (a few times) during the early development phase to ensure that the coin supply does not inflate too much. That's one of the main issue the majority of other altcoins is suffering.

There are not many altcoins offering the full transparency of every development step made since the initial beginning with additional information provided on the original code base forked like 611 coin does.

Dev. and supporters are constantly trying to improve 611 and do not care on the exchange or trade discussion, yet. That's awesome. Thank you!

Exchanges tend to stay away from coins with large premines due to the obvious dumping by devs - & seeing as this coins premine is not only massive but is also undecleared in the OP - it will always have trouble not only getting listed, but also attracting any serious traders. I thought this coin had some potential as an alternative to NMC when I first came across it, until I read this:

Hey, looking through the block explorer, I noticed something that doesn't sit right with me.

The initial instamined blocks were all worth 611 coins, a thousand times more valuable than the 0.611 block reward currently running. This was then reduced to 61.1 coins per block reward, and then presumably further by multiples of 0.1. This is not disclosed anywhere in the original post. In fact, none of the block structure is disclosed in the original post.

From downloading the wallet upon first seeing the original post, I know about 8000 blocks had been mined before public release. This wouldn't be so excessive if the block reward had been 0.611 coins the whole time-- basically this would have resulted in a premine of about 4888 SIL out of 611,000 total eventual supply, which is reasonable at 0.8%.

However, this is the actual mining reward structure:

Block 1-287: 611 coins per block NOT DISCLOSED IN OP
Block 288-2879: 61.1 coins per block NOT DISCLOSED IN OP
Block 2880: 0.611 coins per block, smoothly decaying

This means that 333,728.2 SIL, or a whopping 54.62% of the total eventual supply, was instamined by the 611 developer.

It appears this fact was deliberately hidden with the late release of a block explorer and the use of the low-information Abe block explorer.

Add to this the notion that the developer has been encouraging other miners to set a price for their mined SIL at approximately $60 USD means the developer is attempting to value his premine at upwards of $20,000,000 USD.

PatrickMacH, if you don't take steps to disclose your premine fully and burn most or all the coins you did not disclose that you mined at a higher block reward, this initiative is no longer worth miners' support.

I'm looking forward to your response.

Exchanges read these coin threads & do some research on the coin to ensure it is worth their while listing it. Unfortunately, due to the premine & the attempts to hide it, this coin will always struggle to be adopted. Shame really, because the original idea is good.

Hey guys,

do you like me to setup a piWallet service; a secure open source web wallet?
Should make it easier to use 611 on mobile devices. Smiley

I'm also missing a 611 app for Android and iPhone/iPad for this project. Do you know if someone else did succeed to port the -qt client as an app for mobile devices?

That's my point, they don't provide any support....

Shitcoins go to shit exchanges.
Reputable coins go to reputable exchanges.

I'd love to trade 611 on Poloniex.
If you have an account for trading on Polo, please take a minute and request it to be added: https://poloniex.com/coinRequest Cool

I asked Dominikherzog on yobit about adding SIL, he told there is a issue with the wallet or something

From my experience of YoBit chatbox mods, they are pretty clueless regarding the tech side of things - they're only there to keep an eye on the many shills & abuse/ban people who ask for support tickets to be answered.....

I know yobit is not the best exchange, but its good to have more support for the coin

what with yobit only 0.1btc to be added in 2day?

I did request adding it for (Yobicode) 0.1 BTC about 2-3 month ago.
Nothing has happened for about two weeks! Undecided

Claiming to add a new coin for money within two business days with no response within weeks does not seem to be very reliable. I think reliability is a key to operate a successful exchange; it's all about trust.

Maybe things did improve meanwhile.  Roll Eyes
I'm donating 1,000 SIL if you get it listed on Yobit.

The problem has been fixed about two month ago with -rc2. Use the latest -rc3 from Github and 611 should compile without any issues on any decent Linux/Unix.
