So... OP's point is that we won't know if someone sent tokens to our wallet and you need to manually add a new token contract address?
As long as it's a wallet that supported the token/coin and you're holding your private key you'll be good. That token won't go anywhere. And it's a basic thing in crypto world, there're some wallets that needs manually adding the contract address, but I believe there's also some wallets that's automatically has the info of the new tokens without adding them manually.
It seem like some kind of bug in the wallet, as a matter of fact this happens on my own wallets too, but on erc20 tokens part only, some times it disappeared or fail to reflect until you manually add it up
Maybe by default when it is new it won't appear till it get supported. It is not about the bugs as always maybe the wallet itself was developed by a certain default of coins or token that are supported only. That is why manually adding options is there for the wallet to recognize new incoming token that is new to platform. So you have to be aware of a certain things because you might end up concluding you don't receive your payments.

I use the bot in the telegram to keep track of my transactions. Checking tokens in MEW is a bad idea, because there you will not be able to keep track of anything. Use bot or etherscan.

I would advice all the newbies to learn how to use cold wallets - at least to find out how this works. And also suggest using MyEtherWallet and Metamask if we talk about ethereum and ERC20 tokens.

I'm not a coinomi user though but reading all these means its just like the old MEW that you have to add their contact address and all its information for the tokens to appear in your wallet. I'm interested to install Coinomi if it loads faster than that Mewconnect so I will try that soon today.  MEW is pissing me a lot since it loads up all the ERC tokens, it be best if they will just load the ones that are sent to our wallets.

Heh, yea, this is a fairly common knowledge, especially if you are dealing with a ton of newer currencies or the more obscure ones. But I guess it is worth pointing it out as it may results in less frustration and worrying of crypto newbies and more time being saved by team members who wont have to deal with those kind of questions/requests.

Hi fellas, i want to drop this info mainly for newbies on this forum that just start getting familiar with crypto wallets, i was waiting for some tokens to get delivered into my coinomi wallet since a month ago but they never appeared but the projects teams claim its been sent but guess what? i decided to track my address last night using Etherscan and i saw all the tokens there, sometimes your tokens might have arrived in your wallet but you won't know until you track your wallet address or you manually add token contract address, thank you.

Bounty 101, thats what i call it. Thats the first thing to learn when you are into bounties. Most times you dont gwe to see your tokens in some wallets but that does not necessarily mean they lost, just as the OP rightly said scanning your wallet on etherscan or explorer does the magic. To add to what he said it is very advisable to use wallets that supports majority of ERC20 tokens, example are trust wallet and imtoken.
The idea of using the wallets that you have listed seems to me not universal since there are not very many tokens that come for bounty projects. Here I will leave you a link below how to add any token to myetherwallet wallet. Do not thank, my dear friends)

Well this situation is not only attributed to tokens but normal ethereum also. I once received payment of ETH from a friend I helped with some service, the ETHEREUM  arrived successfully without any prior notification until I used etherscan to track the payment. I guess this helps when sophisticated or advanced form of wallets are used to initiate the payment process.

If you are talking about your airdrop or bounty tokens in your exchange wallet, it will not appear. Its not scam or some thing but the exchange dont support those tokens or coins simply. This is well known all and all the bounty or airdrop rules also clearly mention that.

This often happens on ERC-20 type tokens, wallet doesn't show some of your token balance until you manually add it's contract address but as long as you can see your tokens in explorer then it's safe and it means you actually have the token on your address.

As an addition to tracking tokens, you can use the telegram of the bot, it’s convenient, you can also request a balance there and the bot signals the arrival of new tokens.

yes the telegram bot has a function that is not much different and how to use it is not much different from etherscan and every time a token comes in you will receive a notification and I think it will be easier if just to check funds

I still don't understand that incident? what affects so that the token is not visible, so you use etherscan to verify it. That way does have a significant risk. Please enlighten me, thank you
He has just shared ways to confirm arrival of tokens in wallets. So that if anyone else faces such situations, he will first confirm the presence of coins on his own by using etherscan. Basically, at times, the coins send by the team of a project may fail to appear in your wallet regardless of all the information provided correctly to them and coins delivered already by them. Coins do get into our wallet but just don't appear. So this way, you can see the coins.

I experienced the same thing before when I was new to bounties. The team said they already send the rewards to our wallet (im using myetherwallet since its an erc20 token) but when I check my MEW its not there so I use etherscan to track the tokens and indeed its there. Thus I add manually the tokens using their contract address. Its confusing at first but definitely worth to know especially for newbies.

Yes this is true, i have learnt this lesson very early when i entered crypto space, i sent few tokens to another address of mine and its been approved on the blockchain but not showing on the address until i track the address myself

That is why I check all my Ethereum wallets on Etherscan because all wallets that I am using are not showing these tokens due to unsupported smart-contracts. And I still wonder why developers of these wallets do not fix it?

I remembered my experienced before. If you aren't familiar to add token's name and contract to a particular wallet like MEW, the tokens that have sent by the team will be forever lost. Good thing,OP found out that the tokens were sent already. Also, the team will informed the participants if it is an erc token or not, or if you have to manually add the token in some wallets.

However, not all know about this. Etherscan is really helpful to trace tokens, so for some newbies who are confused, reading is a must to be aware of situations like this.
Let me clarify, tokens that were sent to you will not be lost forever. It will appear for some time but if you want to see it after they sent it to your wallet, you really need to add the token manually to your wallet.
As you said, the team will inform not only the bounty hunters but also investors by giving them the information and proper steps on how to add it on their wallet.

When we talk about newbie it means the class of people that does not have any or very minimal knowledge about the subject matter, you information is only understood by the average person here but might not really be digested by the newbie.

Newbie needs an indepth information
