Yes, at times it do happens like this and it is not only coinomi Wallet that do act like this, Imtoken and Trust also do like this once a while and like you said, one can always scan his address to check new tokens that has
being sent to you without you receiving notification.
There are actually times that this happens not only to the wallets you have said, but it also happens in the official wallet of ethereum.
Yes, and it can be tracked using etherscan and you will also find information about the coin that you were about to add in your wallet.
This is only natural things to happen in erc20 or created token using a smart contract.

hello I do not understand your point, whether you can give a complete picture. if it's a problem about losing a token maybe I can help him, hope your funds can be returned.
he might try to tell people that some of the coins in your wallet can't be seen before you check / track them. this also happens if you look at the number and total of tokens in etherscan and ethplorer. some coins you can see in etherscan, and you cannot see in ethplorer. in addition, just like Myetherwallet, some tokens need to be custom-adjusted to see the number of tokens.

Hi fellas, i want to drop this info mainly for newbies on this forum that just start getting familiar with crypto wallets, i was waiting for some tokens to get delivered into my coinomi wallet since a month ago but they never appeared but the projects teams claim its been sent but guess what? i decided to track my address last night using Etherscan and i saw all the tokens there, sometimes your tokens might have arrived in your wallet but you won't know until you track your wallet address or you manually add token contract address, thank you.
I still don't understand that incident? what affects so that the token is not visible, so you use etherscan to verify it. That way does have a significant risk. Please enlighten me, thank you
Please see the link below, his explanation needs analyzation since it is not clear but once you get to the point you will understand easily.
https://kb.myetherwallet.com/en/common-issues/token-already-exists/
It is hard to explain without any images to serve as an example, maybe this will help to enlighten you.

A new token in a mobile wallet requires a smart contract if the token is ERC20. I think when we are going to use a mobile wallet, we should try all the features that are in it so that we do not get the wrong perception. Mobile wallet is very good because we can monitor the value of our portfolio in real time

Dont get panicked as long as your using an Ethereum address with privatekeys you can manually add tokens if they won't show on your wallet. Unless if youve'd store your tokens in the wrong address e.g exchange wallet or custodial wallet then that could be a big problem.

This is only natural because Coinomi doesn't necessarily enter the name of the new token before we add it, in myetherwallet too. But gradually it will be added automatically if the token is good and useful. Because as we know that the number of tokens under the auspices of ethereum so the above thing happens. So, before you complain you should check and understand first how to play. If the TX ID is clearly listed then your token will not go anywhere except to your own wallet.

Simply log in to etherscan and add your address there. You can then receive a notification every time there is an activity with your address. Sometimes, you will get a random, worthless token, if your addresses are public.

Go to https://etherscan.io/register >> Login
Go to watch list >> + Add new address

Lol, good one as this is a very vital information that not everyone is aware of and most likely will lead to the uninformed newbie to tag a project scam when it's just a misunderstanding from their part. This post just brought back old memories during my days of been an Airdrop hunter, as I engaged with airdrop managers severally on this issue reporting on not reciebymy reward and questioning the projects credibility.

Don't think this is still a problem though as most project I have seen usually have this inform pinned or repeated severally on their telegram groupchat, informing the community to add custom tokens contract.

Correct, there are tokens/coins in some wallets that you need to manually add the contract for your balance to appear. I had the same struggle when I was new, I though I lost my altcoin. Good thing one of my friends taught me how to this. This is helpful for newbies who might think they have lost their funds on their wallet. As long as it is appearing in etherscan on the right address, your funds are never lost.

Usually, some wallets do have to be manual to add their contracts to read in the wallet like Myetherwallet. Sometimes also without inserting the manual is detected as in the trust and Imtoken.

This is the common mistakes of newbies also, it will be best that you should always open a tab where you can always see the history of your transactions and the tokens that came and goes out to your wallet especially if it can be track by etherscan.

That is the fastest way to check all your tokens because sometimes the new tokens are not listed yet in any wallet and you need to add them manually in order to see your balance of that certain tokens, most of this scenario are erc20 tokens.

This is also the same case for MetaMask or even the famous in MEW.

This is the case for most wallets because I do think it requires some things from the user to have the appropriate details on the coin
  • There's a user input where you need to input the contract address and what name it is
  • What smart contract
  • How to access that executable in the code

In a contract address, IIRC, there's another line of code to be executed. That's one of the key differences between a normal address and a contract one. Thanks for sharing too, for sure there would be some people who are glad to have read this before anything else.

I think when you participated at bounty campaign or airdrop project recommendation using erc20 wallet and never use exchange wallet or mobile phone wallet like coinomi, maybe the team of airdrop or bounty campaign have distributed their reward to your wallet but you use not support wallet and payment will be cancel directly without can't confirmation from your wallet.

I have experienced this before and may have to refresh the wallet and if possible can not give your wallet look. You can try to contact the exchange team to provide a solution. I think it's a problem that is still an easy fix to do

Refreshing it wouldn't do the trick. Coinomi app doesn't not support all tokens especially in bounty rewards. For users should know first the capability of wallet before using it. Yes indeed it is a good app but not suitable for bounty rewards cause it has limit. Better user MEW, Imtoken, Eidoo, or Parity.

Yeah, If you have a problem with crypto wallets or transactions, you must have some ways to fix it. You can do these ways : contact the project teams, googling to see some existing suggestions, or asking your friends. FYI, sometimes transactions need a few hours to move the tokens from the sender's wallet to the receiver's wallet.

If you send your tokens to the wallet, they should be seen there and it does not matter if you are using MEW or any other wallet. Maybe you did not add this token or just forgot to synchronise your wallet with blockchain.

That is why I am only using MEW or MyEtherWallet for my Erc20 tokens .
It is important to always check your wallet in etherscan because those new crypto wouldn't show up unless you manually add them in the wallet.
