bitcion at 13k who's getting cold feet?

I hope my transfers go through, I'm delaying the mining equipment purchases and going to dump it all on BtC if it hits 11k

havn't you guys been selling coins regularly like I have been telling everyone for the last month!

I have all my money in money and in gear.

I have under 5k in coins

and over 50k in gear.

all paid for.

I prefer a december crash  over a january one.

and I have efficient gear.

been here mining since 2013...I could care less about that crash or whatever that is

2x zotac 1080 ti amp extreme coming today or tomorrow  Cheesy

Have you noticed how nVidia profitability has crept up to match the AMD cards of late (if you pick the right coins to mine that is)? A rig of 1080s can now basically equal or beat a rig of Vega 56s. Impressive. I suspect nVidia cards might slowly go up in price again as well...

Yes I have noticed this and it also combined with local pricing dropping from $508 for a 1070ti to $461. I have 8 of them at the post office right now - can't wait to plug them in!
nvOC loaded and ready to roll!
Its becase cryptonite prices peaked for a while now with nicehash back its going back up
vegas are a ripoff at $700 though

A lot of new people mining that see these mining calculators with 3-4month ROI's and expect the cards to pay themselves off quickly even at $700+.  They will ether get lucky or learn a lesson about trusting calculators and projected profits.

Maybe a good lesson with the beating everything’s taking right now

https://xmr.nanopool.org/  you can set payouts to .3 xmr and use bittrex address.  They used to have .5 xmr payouts which was a big turnoff for most people.
You can also use Their ETN pool with 100 ETN payouts to Cryptopia address.

supportxmr.com offers 0.3 payout to local wallet

Nicehieeeeesh (those who've watched their video will get it) is back up and paying quite a big premium for Cryptonight currently (if whattomine is to be believed).

Wonder if I should point my AMD hash to their servers for a while.

Also, do I have to mine there using a brand new BTC address?

If you used an external wallet or a pool deposit address, it still works.

You only need a new wallet if you used a Nicehash wallet.

I am "on hold" for new card buying at this time - Bitpay that Newegg uses seems to be getting some major issues due to holidays overload.

http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/sleeve-to-dual-ball-bearing-fans link shows GIGABYTE fans having sleeve bearings replaced with ball bearings on the fans, NOT SAPPHIRE.

I'm on hold too because I don't want to buy @ Newegg @ the current BTC price. I knew I should have bought the gear when it hit 19k but was like "ah, I'll do it tomorrow" and tomorrow became a week ... as usual.

I'm thinking I'll just be better off dumping 50 shares of Google and take the capital gains hit instead of taking the hit from the low bitcoin price to buy a couple rigs till prices go back up.

No ones has any solution about which AMD driver i should use (except the beta blockchain that I use) to fix the voltage Mod from Claymore  for the 5xx Series ?

Or know anyone I should ask directly ?

Thanks ;-)

NOT going to buy any more boards at the moment.

I did find a good deal on corsair website.

LASTCALL20   GETS 20% off various item not the graphics cards  but the psu's

TOP of the line 1500 watt atx is 450 usd  before coupon 360 after

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/ax1500i-digital-atx-power-supply-1500-watt-fully-modular-psu

450 at amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-AX1500i-Modular-Titanium-Certified/dp/B00MFJ4OBA/ref=sr_1_1?

shipping is about 10 bucks

getting that psu for say 370 is good price.

you could cruise the site more  and see what else is good with 20%

I did buy a gpu  from them and the coupon does not work

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-gfx-gtx-1080-ti-liquid-cooled-graphics-card

it is 800 and like 10 to ship  but they run cool  and the mobo is really quiet..

and I went back to nicehash on 2 of 3 accounts

As I never found a monero pool with both a REASONABLE payout level when mining to an exchange, AND good reliability, all my CPU miners are pointed at Nicehash - and working again.

I left ONE of my A2 scrypt miners (the 88 Mhash model) with Nicehash as the default pool.

I have one older machine with 960/950 cards that runs their software by default

We'll see how it works out.

Now the money is free, and so the people will be

my MSI 390 and MSI 290X is about 2 months since i first lube it, my HIS 480 is about 3 months already..sapphire 280x is at least 6 months....

Sapphire is ALL ball bearing fans - have been as far back as I've been using them.

I'm pretty sure MSI is all ball bearing fans as well.

HIS - varies with the model. Ice-Q and "reference blower" models seem to all be ball bearing, "lesser" models usually are not.

Yeah even MSI armor models have dual ball bearing fans.  I've never had a problem with MSI fans, or Sapphire fans.  Or even XFX 390/380 fans...  280x, well sapphire toxic fans were replaced with bulky tie-wrap attached fans.  I've only had one gigabyte card, but sold it, so dont know if the fans are good or not.  I feel maybe people run their fans too hard...If they have a lot of failures, maybe the problem isnt the GPU but how they use it.

I am still unable to login, all is stuck at the point "need to change you password, check your mail"
As far as I get your external wallet do not need to be changed. You internal (nicehash) wallet must be changed, as the old one holds "old coins" that may be reimbursed only in February or later.
I never had an "internal" Nicehash wallet... Only used to mine directly to my own BTC wallet address.
I suppose I could then just re-use the same then.

that is what I do
here is one account with them
