Does anyone have experience with a continuous generator fueled with natural gas (or propane) for supplying their electricity needs for a small mining farm? The type of unit We are researching would be similar to this one, perhaps smaller:
https://www.centralmainediesel.com/order/General-Motors-21-kW-Generator.asp?page=GM21We have space for it and as long as the natural gas well that already provides heat for the house can handle the extra load it would pay for itself in a matter of months.
no but I read specs for your model. lets say you have free gas from the well you will need to do maintenance every 500 hours or every 21 days.
I know motors ½ load is probably better setting then full load
so 42 amps at 240 volts = about 10kwatts 24/7 for 21 days with a pit stop of 3 hours to do maintenance
So 10 kwatts = 9 avalon 741's say 72th that is 1800 in 3 weeks so 4-5 months it is paid off
1 year warranty means 7-8 months of 'free' power
to pay off the 9 avalon 741's
maybe your good .
