Those Chinese boards look fantastic. I am about to place an order from alibaba for some. What processor is everyone using on the 8+4 GPU motherboard?

My plan is to have 1070ti GPU's on them with the hybrid water cooling from EVGA.

if you do smos  you can use a g4400

I gave my  aliababa link out in this thread.

about 179  shipped to usa using paypal  for 1 sample

about 1430 - 1500 shipped to usa using paypal for a 10 pack

tell sidonia I pointed you to her.  philip  from howell new jersey 07731

Phil,
Your frame for the Onda 250 board is on its way to you.

Can I order one of these?

contact spots wood  he has them mention this thread.

I will not be ordering anymore boards for sale .

I made 8 to 10 dollars profit on each onda b250 sold .

I ordered 21
and sold 15 kept 6.

so about 140-150 profit I had 1 rma for 170 so I lost  around 20 or 30 dollars doing this.

I let buyer keep the dead board as was the only one  that I shipped outside the USA.

My source on alibaba Is :

Sidonia Huang

Due to the demise of NH - will be looking at new NH when they decide to resume business - doubt it that they could come back from the disaster - I have decided to put all mining operations back to LTC, DASH, Monero and ZEC -- and hoard all these coins. By then time Coinbase adds those coins into GDAX trading -- likely we will see all of them passing 1k per coin in valuation.

Litecoin should already be in GDAX - haven't heard of any plans for them to add ZEC DASH or Monero but none of those would shock me.

I don't generally bother chasing "hot coins" any more - I let other folks chase them and crash the profitability back down to where the non-hot coins are at.

 9-)

Anyone else notice that AMD card pricing on the RX 570/580 seems to be creeping back up again?
I suspect that the recent price jump on ETH (and other altcoins) is spurring mining demand again - though not to the level of this past spring.

I was about to trash my D3 into the South China seas..... but with DASH this good - all the cubes are hashing away mining DASH.

Isn't DeepOnion the coin to be mining on Baikals?

Bitmain D3 only does X11 coins.

DeepOnion uses X13 like Bitcoin Diamond.

Older Baikal models like Minis, Quad and 900MH Giants can do X13 in addition to X11, Qubit, Quark etc.

The newer Baikals like X10 doesnt support X13 algos.

What are the thoughts on the Baikal Giant B?

its quite good actually since they can do firmware upgrade for 5 more coins - if not mistaken (or was that X10?)

this will ensure that the investment will be able to mine additional coins in future

very clever of Baikal to do a FPGA approach instead of single-algo asics

I'm thinking of fixing some fans behind the Vegas to push some air between them (plugged onto that Onda D1800, the six Vegas are very close and heating eachother up). What should I go for? Scythe Slip Stream seem to have the best airflow... Will 3x 120mm do the trick?

use these as they are better  you will move over 400 cfm  using under 25 watts nothing is more effienct

https://www.amazon.com/Scythe-DFS123812H-3000-Ultra-Kaze-120mm/dp/B001JKNMBE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513448213

and use these to protect the blades and your fingers

Sniffdog was only .005 mBTC/Mh/s which came out to .0021 BTC for 400 MH/s - now according to the profit switcher, ever single coin was always over $45-70/day so MINIMUM earned should have been 0.0031 BTC which it failed miserably.

Cool program and all, but profit switching 100% did not work to increase profits, it actually decreased them by 30%

Which pools were you using, and what switch time? I think the default of 90 seconds is too low, I set mine to 5 minutes. Also limited to only hashrefinary or ahashpool.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
it is chasing the hot coin = bad.

and if  you are mining on pools that  kill you when you jump  you lose the work .

Say  you have 500 shares of coin x work on pool 1.  say 10 minutes  worth.

hot coin comes up  you jump.  many pools   kill your work  when you jump  so those 500 shares or 10 minutes of work are lost.

NOW make a jump  every hour  chasing the hot coin  you may lose  your last 5 or 10 minutes of work on every jump  even worse if the pool is making 1 block an hour

and you jump 24 times in a day.  you could lose 50% of your work.  Since  each coin you jump to makes 1 coin an hour  chances are a large loss of time can happen.

this is true for many pools but i would think that mininghubpool (for example) would choose pools that straight up pay per share and allow one to come and go at will without affecting payouts. even still i have limited my various workers on mhp to one algo (based on the gpus, amd RXs on one 1070/1070ti on another, 1080ti on a third) and let mhp switch pools which use that algo. as a strategy that might turn out ok, or it may suck.

ill let it go a week or so and see what happens.

I got 2 miner crashes that needed to be manually restarted.

Also I call bullshit on the algo switching, I made less with the multi algo switching that mining straight lyrarev2.

I did a full 24 hour test run and calculated the BTC per Mh/s -

Interesting findings. Currently using Nemos on 2 rigs and I'm not seeing the expected profits either.

Would you happen have a good ONDA supplier that might be able to ship prior to February delivery?

My Onda shipment is arriving in 9 days and will be selling some for $170 shipped in Asia. If you live outside Asia it might be cheaper to buy direct from alibaba because my shipping costs are high. They should sell you 1 piece.

Once I finalize this bulk auction I'll know better how to proceed right now I'm 3 HOURS AWAY winning far too many GPU auctions but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna stick with the 5 Ti Hybrids and the remains 4 "Non-TI" variants  for continuity.  Too bad those too are apparently hybrids.

Would you happen have a good ONDA supplier that might be able to ship prior to February delivery?

Seems I'm finding a bunch of the 6 card model but that thing looks like junk no? (Built in processor?)

Lot of bulk to these two potential rigs.

PS. When killed the cheese grater macpro and neutered the mac mini from 4core i7 to dual core models jet the price the same and shortly started soldering the rAM into every machine possible they too lost me as well.

They used to love pro's.

Anyway thanks for the suggestions ;-)

I have successfully run my 6 slot onda for 1 week now. 4x vega56 2x rx570.
Hashing at 9200hs steady.
Gotta check power though.
Max temp on vegas 68C and 60C on 570s. My ambient is 30-34C

EDIT
600w at the wall.
What settings clocks and voltages for the vegas? What hbm temps?

Vegas - stock bios only wattman changes  p6 min/max  -14% freqency  and mem 920-950mhz and -7% power setting and fans 4000rpm.
Hbm temp no idea hotest gpu in wattman 69c and coolest 60c.
570s - bios flashed gpu frequency p5 min/max and  1790mhz memory.
Thats it

I am a noobie so this is the extent of my knowledge. But from what i have seen flashing bios and power table changes not always = better on vegas
