Got a new build up if any of you guys want to check it out Cheesy (sort of feel like this thread / bitcointalk is my homebase lol)

Tails was more interested in getting me to play ball with her than the rig build today . . lol can't say I blame her we've been pulling overtime!

sneak peak of my new tool for managing rigs

keys

-dont need to install any tools or programs on the remote pc
-it uses the default Administrator account to access any box on your network via IP address
-you have to have a password for the account which as you see in the picture
-you have to ether open ports on the  firewall to allow it to work or do this below :

Quote
Open the Group Policy Object Editor snap-in (gpedit.msc) to edit the Group Policy object (GPO)
that is used to manage Windows Firewall settings in your organization. Open Computer Configuration, open
 Administrative Templates
, open Network
, open Network Connections
, open Windows Firewall,
 and then open either
Standard Profile,
Enable the following exception:
"Allow Remote Administration Exception"
I miggt come up with a powershell script to do the above but im not that good at PS, if somone else has input on this would be helpful.

This app will basically copy any local files from the machine its run on to any computer in your network , reboot the miner
create the shortcuts for the start.bat , basically hands free and no need to run stuff from a 3rd party on your box.

I'm also adding the option to manage ccminer and other miners the same way, just enter in your new startup file name , its location and destination and boom
switch to mining something new.

You do have to modify your own batch files, of course.

Also you  can manage as many machines you  with a list of IP addresses in a text box

That is pretty f'n Marvell-ous!

Keep us posted please =]
yup i will i'll finish my testing in a few days , right now its working flawlessly on my 20 rigs , saving me sooo much time

some advice to all  sell some coins.  5%,10%,15%

sell some me I sold a ton of my coins have under .2 btc and under 1.0 bcc

Is that because you think BtC will tank Phil?

I'm tempted, I have all my BtC in cold storage except for a few coins in Poloniex - their 2k daily limit is a PITA though so I might just transfer that back out to FIAT for more gear or back to cold storage, still unsure.

Can someone confirm this is a really big pump , and the dump is coming.  Huh

What goes up must come down - that's the buy/sell pattern of any trading.... the difference with Bitcoin is that the pattern is very erratic because there is not enough liquidity in the market (ie. everything other coin by large is still paired/bought using Bitcoin). With new money (USD$) coming into the system, expect the wild swings to be tighter.... 2018 will be a good year for us miners, in my humble opinion.... expect 100K BTC easy.

Note: pump and dump will always be there, just like stock market, even more in crypto markets because its not fully regulated like stock trading etc. I think the only real threat to Bitcoin is .....

a. Bitcoin Cash

b. Privacy virtual currency

c. No adoption

d. Bitcoin her self...

100k would be insane. You really believe that Citronick?

Everthing is insane.... anything can happen.

Do you believe that this is current price of BTC and alts as of this hour, minute....

BTC 16k
DASH 953$
ETH 730$
LTC 305$
XMR 326$

Actually, no, I'm still in awe right now.

My AR-15 ID's itself as a toaster. Want breakfast?
I haven't been following dash.... Almost 1k?!??!!

Holy crap.

I'm actually surprised at the ETH price given all of its historical problems, max coin supply, and it's code/reg manipulatability.

Onda b250

Board prices

are for 1 sample shipped to usa   and a paypal fee   179

for 10 boards shipped to usa and a paypal fee 1430 - 1500

I decided not to sell anymore as I was getting 170  with reshipping and a small profit of about 10 bucks.

buying a sample is 179 to the usa  so buyers saved only 9 dollars..

Once I did 1 rma on 15 sales I basically lost or broke even  just too much work to do for now.

you can use the multi-algo ports so that MPH can choose the most profitable coins for you - this was you dont have to check whattomine all the time. From there you can also select what coin you want to be paid with - using MPH auto-exchange feature.

I wish MPH had a better page where I could monitor my rigs if I'm mining different coins unless I'm just not seeing it.

the dev has said that he is close to complete - 1 page mining dashboard soon

the red foam protects mobo from static I like this idea as my winter humidity drops under 30%

isnt that red foam anti static? if it is then its mildly conductive, which gives it its anti static properties. not really recommended to be in contact with actively running electronics, although lots of people have done it.

VERY mildly conductive, commonly measured in megaohm / square inch ballpark.

Probably not an issue as isolation for a computer motherboard.
probably not, but i always tried not to. i usually used pizza boxes for temp setups Smiley

always meant to grab the fluke and measure some of the anti static foams i have saved as some may be more conductive than others, but never got around to it. take like 10 seconds. its on my bucket list..

Don't even bother with the fluke unless it is a proper resistance tester like Fluke 1507 or something similar.

That pink or red foam is just a plastic with an anti-static additive which is different from a static dissipative material. Pink stuff is essentially non-conductive and is difficult to measure (>1 Gohm/sq). It absorbs moisture from the ambient air to prevent static buildup on the surface and should be totally safe to use for padding of any PCBs.

Static Dissipative materials usually contain carbon black or metal fillers and is dark grey or black or even metallic in color. That one may cause issues in certain places as it can have low Mohm range resistivity per square.

I just use a piece or cardboard under all the mobos.

Bleh... ETN down 35% today, along with my holdings and my mining estimates.

Oh well, switching the RX 570 and Vega rigs to XMR on Nanopool now. It's pretty profitable as well. Not sure what I should do with last week's ETN mining proceeds... Take the hit now and exchange to BTC or wait for them to recover? Hmmm... Choices, choices... Tongue

-50% now. I wonder what caused this sudden drop? could'nt find anything

At this point it recovered to only be down 30%. The 1 thing that has been on most ETN holder's minds has been the eventual release of the ICO people's coins... via supposedly a real wallet lol.  In addition, the ETN team has publicized a re-launch to occur this week, and a lot of people were thinking the ICO coins would become available as part of that. The vast majority of people in that space were predicting a huge drop in price due to the liklihood of a lot of investors taking profits right away.  When i saw that 50% drop earlier i had just assumed that is what had happened but i havent had time to verify. I only mined about 7k so Im just holding no matter what since there's not much down-side with that small amount.

But, the other big problem with ETN is the lack of any good pools. I've tried 3-4 and all have been horrible, returning maybe 35-40% what they should have. That's why i went back to XMR on half my rigs but now with ETH over $700 I've got all 4 back on that.  Bottom line is that even if ETN shows as more profitable to mine vs XMR, it is simply not true... at least until they get the pools functioning correctly.

I've never used alibaba, but it looks like pricing on that motherboard is $125 when I use that link... was it $179 with shipping included I presume?

Do you think there is any chance that 8 GPUs with non blower coolers could work on that motherboard if there's a 3000 cfm box fan blowing air through the GPUs?  Ideally I'd go for Rx 580s (ASUS Strix since I believe they have excellent coolers) mining Lyra2Rev2 coins, but if the spacing doesn't handle that I'd consider GTX 1060s with EVGA SC being the first choice. I may have a family member wanting a rig built so I'm looking more closely into riser free motherboard options at the moment.

3000CFM dedicated to just 1 board... I'm going to have to say no issue that's a pretty damn insane amount of flow for sure.

I just doublechecked, the 20" box fans we use are "only" 2500 CFM. We set them up behind a stack of 2 rigs and it is just about perfect dimensions wise for 6 GPU rigs anyways. For some rigs we have one stack of 2 rigs and then another in front of that with the fan blowing through stack 1 before reaching stack 2.  It's worked quite well so far, but we also have at least 1.5" between all of our GPUs right now.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

Been using MPH for a while, don't think this exists.

im on mhp also, still playing around with it.

for different cards it looks like i will fire up different instances of ccminer (or whatever) as the 1070/1070ti will be better at different coins than the 1080ti. i guess i pick the algos the card is best at from the autoswitch drop down for that card series.

All I have to say is Foam Tiles. They are perfect height. Cheap. For like 10$ you could cut to fit 40 rigs. Love 'em.
