I heard through the grapevine that some whale rentor paid premium to mine Electroneum (ETN)

@dragonmike -- AMD's are not so great on Equihash. I would put them to work on Cryptonite or ETH.

@generalt -- In detail those buy contracts are huge ranging from 10Mhs to 30Mhs, at 0.333 BTC per MH

I've set up the DSTM miner for my nVidia rig as ewbf was unstable, and gave me issues with one gpu. Will probably mine towards suprnova as they don't require a wallet.

The AMD rigs, I'm not sure. They are so hard to achieve stability with that I might just let them mine Cryptonight on Nicehash and won't bother with btg.

Optiminer vs Claymore -- I guess its a matter of preference.

As a long time user of Claymore ETH Dual Miner, moving to Claymore ZEC was logical since all the ethman parameters are set to go.... the early version of ZEC miner was buggy and Optiminer for awhile was better ... cut a long story short - Claymore's own words.... "I prefer Windows" and dont bug me too much on linux -- something along those lines - Optiminer is very stable in my environment & smOS so I am good.

I will be using Binance to hoard the BTGs, the deposit tab isnt available yet (grayed out)

In the BTCG website, there is also 3rd party wallets that you can download.

I choose miningspeed pool because their frontend is quite informative and so far the only one that has US, EU and ASIA nodes so I reckon that this pool may well be a good sized one and likely churning blocks without issues. I am also trying out a local pool based in SG -- hash submission should be fast this one - let's see.

My issue with Baikal is that their ordering system is a sad pathetic joke - one of the worst in the industry.
They do have a good rep for reliability, and had the best performance for quite a while on X11.

Ordering system at their website? I dont think it existed - LOL - anyways, if there was one, never used it before -- I recall just sending them email and from there worked out the whole purchase and payment.
You are right, I had a 400MHs Pinidea before Baikals came about.

On the EVGAs, I have G2s 1000, 1300 and 1600w since 2015 and they still work fine. 4 x 1300w did go for RMA but overall they are solid PSUs.
I also have some cheap China PSUs so far so good, but I use them for a few 3xcard rigs - really under-utilised. These are the better ones according to my supplier. But... I dont dare to use them over 40% of their so called advertised ratings.

Oh and I need to swap another PSU. It's the third EVGA 750GQ that craps out on me in the space of 6 months. Lousy, lousy piece of engineering from EVGA.

EVGA doesn't make their own powersupplies - and the GQ wasn't one of their better offerings.

I'm not sure, but based on the sudden increase in availability it looks like EVGA *MIGHT* have had SuperFlower put some of the G2 models back into production - those ARE excellent power supplies.

Anyways, just to give a shoutout to Baikal - good products and low power consumption. Good support tech team too.

We have a lot of Baikals in our X11 farm -- we had over 50GHs during the X11 boom (2016-17) -- ROIed many times over.

Baikal entered the big Asics market at the right timing there well ahead of Bitmain, Innosilicon and iBelink.

A 900MHs Giant can fetch 3x-4x price earlier this year - but we didnt sell.

With X11 basically dead meat now - I was contemplating to shut them down but we decided to just put them to Prohashing and get paid in any coins we want -- of late VTC was flavor of the month otherwise it stays in DASH Solo pool as their backup pool.
