You need both luck and skills. If you know a scammy dev that only created the coin with the sole intent of cheating ppl, then you have the Skill to trade on that platform. Then you have to take into effect the "Luck" of ppl investing in that coin.

I agree with you luck alone in trade is just like we gamble and I consider them as blind for their investment and for their money as they do not know that where they are putting their capital.

I second that motion Smiley For me skill is still needed. If you have a skill in trading, you have knowledge, you can minimize your losses. Luck is just doing your trade and expecting to gain, like in gambling.

But skill will not only work only with the trading. You luck also to get the huge number of trades and to be not with scamming trading. If you both applies with you. You will be the best trader among all.
I think that will rarely happen. There are things we cannot control specially in gambling. There is a house rule and the house always win. Luck wont really work here even timing wont. There are certain things that they know and they will get back what you won.

When trading What Matters More Skills or Luck?

Skills of course. Luck will just make the game easier but the main factor should always be skills. You cannot trade by just relying on luck or you are giving away your money.

i wanted to vote for both and i see that already 60% have voted for that but when you think about it, the luck is not a real thing in trading unless you are superstitious about these kinds of stuff.

in reality it is either your skills that lead to success our a random chance that you can call it luck but since it is random it doesn't count.

maybe if the calculated I prefer luck. 30% will be achieved on the skill and 70% luck. I very much appreciate the luck. great skill as great as we would not be meaningful when we were not lucky.

In trading skill and luck id needed to make a profit. Its incomplete if you only have  a luck only but you dont have skill. Example you have 1 btc on your wallet and you dont have the trust on the coin that you invested. The coin you invested multiply into 10x , But you invested only 0.001 btc on that coin.Skill is needed also, If you invest 1btc on a coin  and the coin suddenly drop its price, You have been bankcrupt. So its better to have luck and skill in trading

Skill is more important than skill in trading, in trading when we already got the skill, we will be able to predict the movement of the coin, so without luck we can make profit, and if we only rely on luck then our trading will be like gambling
without luck? are you sure? if the skilled ones doesn't even have luckyness or say he's having bad luck, even with ultra good analyzation and a skill to predict the future, there's no way he could make profit because having such a bad luck and end up broke

I think what he's trying to say was you can't rely purely on luck.
You were right. Even if you have godly analytical mind, bad luck may put you down.
But at least even if luck leaves you, you still have the skills to somehow lessen the risk.
Well this i think just says that both are needed qhenut comes to trading. We really can't say when the coin's prices will drop so having skill and experience would tell you to sell the coins while it's still good. Though again there's no telling that if it happens while you're watching the coins move. It could happen when you're asleep so i think luck is also something to consider here

When trading What Matters More Skills or Luck?
in my opinion skill and luck both are the part of tge trading Profit . sometimes we get more and more Profit by only for useless altcoin and sometimes the new matters in the world of bitcoin tends to rise the fluctuations which us used by our skill to get profit .

that is right but in the field of trade we do not have to rely much on luck and have to make sure that we have good knowledge and skills for to go to trade as without skills we do not trade but we gamble with our money.

you need both for sucefull trade, maybe you can do good analysis about trend but luck is always good with your knowledge. Obviously if you have good trading skills,  you will make more money than the guy who only have luck.

Luck is a factor that can bring well experienced traders an extra bit of profit, but they don't depend on it. People that are depending on lucky shots when trading, are nothing more than gamblers. But then again, where one trader makes profit, there are several people losing. Without these people, markets would be very boring and less volatile.

For a successful trade, we just need skill alone in my experience. Trading is not gambling so we never need luck to have profits in trading.

But, being lucky will not harm anyone. So, in order to make quick profits and sometimes unexpected very huge profits from trading, luck will definitely help us. But I never find myself luckier in my trading and all my trading performance were just based on skill set only.

i think i will alway vote for luck. luck is the king and skill are the soldier , as soldiers can make the king more stronger, similarly skill can really make stronger the position of luck, as most of the people think that luck can be change by effort but to me effort cannot change the luck.

Problem is luck is just all made up. People from long ago dont believe in that. There is this only work and skill. If you rely too much on luck then you will also believe in a bad omen and so on. It just become traditional and passed on to generations.

Yeah! right! Rellying on luck makes you loose pretty a lot. Luck is not in yyour side forever like skill/talent you have as long as you enhancing it everyday unlike luck if you are lucky now then tomorrow your luck is gone and we dont know when it comes back to you.
I can just use my luck in gambling than doing it in trading, I guess you cannot be successful in trading if you are just using your luck, meanwhile in gambling there is a chance for you to win jackpot when you are lucky but it is hard in trading.
