if you are using MyEtherWallet there is a slider at the very bottom of the page to set the gas gasprice

Like I said, if this is a hit and miss kind of work, then it's no difference from gambling and that ICO should be marketed as such.
By right none of us should need more than 1 try.

Edit:
I tried your way but the second time I did it with some increment of gas limit, I got this "Transaction gas price is too low. There is another transaction with same nonce in the queue. Try increasing the gas price or incrementing the nonce"

The only thing I got from multiple tries are:

1. Transaction with the same hash was already imported.
2. Unable to locate Transaction entry.

MEW wallet states "⚠ The Status.im Contribution Period has ENDED. Please stop clogging the blockchain with your FOMO. Thanks!"
But the status.im website still state "Open and accepting Contributions"

Nevertheless, I still get either "Transaction with the same hash was already imported" or "Unable to locate Transaction entry"
Is this just a glitch or amateur coding?

This Status ICO totally sucks.

The last ICO I proudly participated in took me just 1 try (it took everyone else the same 1 try).
The founder of the ICO project even assured us that we will get our tokens (which we did) even if the transaction has error.
Now that's a real deal.

Money loves speed

Ugh, I ended up spending twice as much ETH as I intended (14 ETH instead of 7) since I sent multiple transactions doing the "spamming" method. It appears another one for 7 ETH went through about 4 hours later, after showing no signs of pending or anything. Now I have 140,000 tokens but much of my ETH supply is depleted :/

Disappointed I didn't set up my wallet better to prevent this from happening. We live & we learn.

Hopefully this is profitable... Team Status for now!

MEW saying Contribution Period ended is incorrect.

I just did a contribution,
Using this parameters the TX goes quickly, about 15 seconds to be confirmed and received my SNT tokens by the smart contract.

recommended gas: 200000
maximum gasPrice: 50000000000 or 50 gwei

I think this Status ICO is just for the insiders and little for the lucky outsiders.

How in the world can a pending transaction disappeared?
How in the world can the system unable to locate a valid transaction entry?
How in the world can so many transactions be in error despite using the SAME contract?

Two person submit the same transaction; one person gets it and the other doesn't.
How fair is this?

Who would have thought a Swiss company based in Germany pulled such scam.

I don't think anyone will trust Status.IM again the next years. Some will make great profit with it nevertheless.

Same here. I'm an old timer, lost my first account. I can tell you ethereum is not a trustworthy currency, and all these new ICOs are technologies to be built on top of this unstable platform. But, I'll throw money at anything that has a secondary buyer. Once in while, my crypto geek conscience comes into play and tells me not to invest in things I don't believe in, but then I talk myself into turning a quick transaction again to make more BTC. I do believe in some others, but evidently people like crap coins with pretty pictures and marketing lingo, not solid development like the old days.
