What if my own exernal IP is dynamic?

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that it requires a fixed IP address (that would be standard for masternode coins). That's why many people rent a VPS to set it up, or pay for a service that includes VPS and setup done by them etc.... I have contacted NODEShare about Solaris and they have expressed interest in adding it. They pretty much do it all for you and I think would be worth the fee they charge if they do choose to add Solaris.

http://nodeshare.in/

Also I see that Node-VPS has added Solaris, but I'm not sure if they offer setup services or if they are just providing the VPS with fixed IP etc.... has anyone used them before?

https://node-vps.com/web/

Node-vps.com sets up the vps for you on one of our servers, there is no need for configuring a vps, and it will create the masternode.conf file for you as well. ill write a guide for the site in the next few days.

It takes a lot to build but not much to lose
THis is incomplete

The External and internal IPs and external and internal ports on both of the Conf files are not clear!

Sir, what do you mean by they are not clear?
Are they illegible to you?

Also, where in the guide did you see internal IP and internal Port?
It seems you didn't follow the guide thoroughly because you are mentioning things that are not in it.
Please start again and this time, follow the guide more carefully. Even a single "space" at the wrong place can ruin your masternode setup.

solaris.conf should look like this
Code:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=ANY_LONG_USERNAME
rpcpassword=ANY_LONG_PASSWORD
staking=1
server=1
listen=1
port=port
masternode=1
masternodeaddr=YOUR_EXT_IP:PORT
externalip=YOUR_EXT_IP:PORT
masternodeprivkey=MN_PRIVKEY
addnode=78.145.45.173
addnode=92.108.70.246
addnode=89.169.62.37
addnode=89.65.73.101

masternodes.conf should look like this
Code:
MASTERNODE_ALIAS VPS_IP:PORT Private_key TX_ID TX_INDEX

You can find this in the guide
If its about sight, you can get help from someone who can see clearly if its still not clear

use 60020 for  your port

Hi @schyter! Thank you so much for sharing both conf files.
I used the same configuration. I have received 1 reward by now of 0.4 XLR.
I dont understand why the status of MN keeps going to MISSING

The whole tutorial assumes that I am running the node on the VPS and not on the local machine.
If I am using my home server to run a machine to host the node, my externalIP and my VPSIP in both will be the same. I guess that might cause an issue. right?

My conf files look like this

Solaris.conf
Code:
rpcallowip=192.168.0.1
rpcuser=aksjbdkajndkansdkjnansdasd
rpcpassword=aknsdlk;an;sdn;ansdna;nsdansdnansdjknajsndkasd

Can you please spot the mistake?

1. You should hide your private key!
2. 60020 is not an IP address

All keys are fake in the example
And the 60020 number is indeed a port. Please read the example well

How can others contact nodeshare?  I didn't see any addresses on the website where I could request that they add Solaris.

Thanks.

Why not all blocks include payment for MN???  Sad
Have blocks with one transaction 1,6XLR for miner and have blocks with 0,4XLR for MN.

There is not enough MNs running to soak up all the block rewards.

This is due to 1 ip restriction.

so is the reward of 0.4 XLR for MN? because my masternode keeps changing status from enabled to missing

After several DDOS attacks on the server, mining XLR (with Xevan) is working fine.

I plan on using the Raspberry wallet but in the meantime I tested the Mac wallet and it keeps crashing every time I try to open it.  I don't have an issue with any other Qt wallets.  Sorry if I'm being a pain, just want to help troubleshoot.
