I would like no one to become a problem gambler due to life circumstances, but unfortunately armed conflicts often make soldiers experience enormous stress. I think that the army budget needs to work out and introduce mechanisms for restoring the internal state of soldiers.
We need good psychologists and doctors who will work with this problem, restoring normal calm psyche to soldiers.

Well I say something, the wars that are fought, the battles turn the thoughts and brains of people in a very ugly way, they are traumatized by what they see and do, so I think that gambling in that sense would not become an addiction, and if so, then I think that the soldier would seek to gamble without betting real money, because what is important is that he occupies his brain in something different from a war, I think that is what it is about, besides a soldier goes with his money counted, what they earn must cover their expenses, it would be very irresponsible on their part to spend it all in a casino.

Of course, we can only guess how hard it is to participate in combat.
But ideally, it would be better if the big money that soldiers spend on gambling was saved up for doctors. I mean specialists who, after the end of combat, would help soldiers return to absolutely normal everyday life.
And I hope that many of them will be strong enough to do just that.

If the soldiers gamble to strengthen their morale and refresh their minds, then this gambling is not bad for them, but I am talking about those people who cannot control themselves and gamble. A soldier went to war and while going to war he gambled and at a stage of gambling he became addicted to gambling then how could he concentrate on war. They should gamble in such a way that wins and losses do not affect them. If their motive is that they will gain at any cost by gambling then the matter may go the other way for them so a soldier may gamble just for fun without any expectation of profit.
That was why I suggested that instead of banning gambling outright, the military authorities could place some level of restrictions. Having a percentage of their earning that they can gamble with might be a good option and restricting their gambling activities to a certain period could be good.

No matter how good an activity might be to a set of individuals, it will still be abused by a few. There will still be soldiers who might abuse these gambling privileges. The government should also set up mechanisms to identify soldiers who are going through gambling disorders and help them go through counselling and even gambling therapy. Risking one's life for the good of the nation is the highest form of selflessness, so anything to make a soldier happy should be highly esteemed.

Army personnel are given enough facilities in the cantonment besides they are always in some kind of game so if they don't gamble it will not harm them but if they get addicted to gambling it will be harmful for them.
I know that soldiers, or people who are in a war, if they need to free themselves or get out of that stress , the game will not make them fall into an addiction and if they fall I don't think they have enough money to stay stuck there, so starting from the fact that they are intelligent people, who are defending a country, they will have little time left for that , so if they play they should take advantage of Everything they can to have fun.

I guess when you're in constant danger of death, seeing that a few of your teammates are already dead or injured you look for anything to distract you. Also common is the use of drugs, anything they can get their hands on.

The banning thing, I don't know. I imagine that if they get out alive on top of having gambling debts it could be catastrophic. Post-traumatic stress and being bankrupt can leave them with serious psychiatric problems and some with the desire to commit suicide.

It is a complex problem.

I agree with you in as much as it could be a way to distract their mind from traumatic experiences they are going through daily it doesn't change the fact that some might fall into the addictive side of it which might cause potential harm to them, soldiers deal with a lot of things, and If gambling addiction becomes part of the list of problems they have then it might result in a deep psychology issue
I the aging time, people that gamble most are the soldiers because they don't always have something to do with their time rather than watch the gate and make sure things are well secured. They gamble with anything even with their wives and properties. Buy in there current time, anybody could gamble but it always has limitations because of the law. There is age to gamble and other things that makes it somehow strict for us to gamble the way we intended compared to the old time. Different laws has been making many of us that are careless gamblers to wise up and keep doing the right time even though we have become addicted to it.

I don't think they should be restricted but they should be warned about the risks and dangers gambling has. These soldiers aren't just bored, I am certain a lot of them are suffering from mental trauma caused by the war and using gambling to cope or as a way to keep them occupied. Sadly when people use gambling as a coping mechanism there is a chance that they become dependent on it. Studies have been done and shown that people who use gambling as a coping mechanism for the issues they have has a chance of getting addicted to gambling.
Army personnel spend a long time away from their family in cantonment, so they get bored many times and to get rid of that boring feeling they do various things maybe gambling is one of them. But in actual experience I have seen many army men who have become so addicted to gambling that they are now heavily in debt. You must never support such gambling. An army man is very important for a country and they take an oath that they stand by the country in any danger but if army men are addicted to gambling then when will they give time for the country. If army personnel can take gambling as a temporary pleasure and if they have full control over gambling then they can play it but becoming addicted to gambling will never suit them.
If army men gamble for fun to spend their free time then it is reasonable for them and if they become over addicted then it is dangerous for them. Army members are the wealth of a country and the country will be saved through them. If they themselves become addicted to gambling due to excessive gambling, they will not be able to concentrate much on the work of the country.

We know that army personnel spend most of their life in cantonments. Moreover, due to other reasons they become very boring in their activities which results in monotony. Basically they should gamble as a pastime to relieve this boredom but not as an addiction. I saw a post by a member of this forum who wrote that his neighbor was an army man who got addicted to gambling even got into a lot of debt which was a burden on his family.

Army is very sensitive about everything so in many countries gambling of army personnel may be a criminal act. You may say an army man can have a private life but when he is in cantonment he has no personal freedom. Who he talked to on the phone, how long he spoke and the personal messages on his phone are checked. So if the cantonment thinks that the gambling of army personnel is harmful to them and their country, then they will not allow any kind of gambling to the army personnel.

I don’t think soldiers should be restricted from gambling at all no. It’s up to them what they do in tgeir time on leave, as long as what they enjoy doing in their time off is legal then let them get on with it.

You can’t stop adults doing what they want, it’s only ever going to annoy them and make them want to do it more.

Stress has been a reality for soldiers for millennia. Historically, they have turned to short remedies. King Richard Richard's ban on gambling aimed more toward keeping troops engaged than it did toward money. Today, its cellphones rather than dice. The problem is the possible consequences, not only in terms of leisure from stress. Why worry if performance is unaffected by gambling? Maybe worse than fighting itself since addiction + high-stress means terrible decisions.

And then there is the ethics. Businesses aiming at vulnerable soldiers using patriotism? That is simply exploitation,. Predatorial, employing technology to profitably control emotions.

This is about realizing the whole situation, not only about outlawing gambling. Policies that guard troops without compromising their liberties are much needed. Its about balance, folks.

Well in itself, things are very Important to see from the fucking good point of view , if that's how you say, you have to maintain a Balance , but personally I am a person who will always say, some entertainment doesn't hurt, however When we are seeing that things are in a war or something, it is Obvious that there will be no Danger of them Becoming addicted , because their Mind is Something that plays very much against them, the fear , the routine , well , what a Person can go Through when they are in the army , if you have Weapons and waiting to Attack or what to do or how to defend Yourself, I think that games of chance are an outlet sometimes Necessary.

.
Well, it could be the very means of distraction that leads them to their peril! What if they were so immersed in the game and so addicted that they blocked out all other outside noise and were just completely sucked in - maybe with the new apple goggles or something-  Unrelated...probably the US has bought each ukrainian soldier at least two of those plus another 150k of gear per soldier. Some stupid figure like that sounds accurate. Now i'm actually curious what US aide to Ukraine would amount to per soldier & then at the citizen level.

They have a responsibility to maintain the reputation of the military and they should avoid gambling for any purpose, especially since Ukraine is at war and the soldiers have to focus on protecting the country from attacks by other countries, I don't think they still want to gamble in war conditions even though they reason to avoid stress, except for the country they are still safe without war so soldiers can enjoy gambling within appropriate limits, but it is not good advice.

Generally, state regulations prohibit gambling for soldiers and state employees. Gambling has a negative impact on the performance of soldiers and they will not be able to focus on war strategy because the impact of defeat will make them more stressed and depressed.
If they realizes about their responsibilities by becoming soldiers, they will prioritize the important matters. They will not gambling in their daily duty and if they want to relax and relieving their stress, they will do other things that can gives fun. They will choose to take a rest for a while to refresh their minds. But they will comes any time when their duty calling them.

They realizes that they must maintain the reputation of the military and they will not do something that can harm their carrier or their reputation of the military. They know that gambling can makes them lose control and will also gives a bad thing for their carrier in the military. They will search for a way to relieve their stress and not playing gambling to have fun because they know the risks and they should stay away from that.

They have other activities that they can do to cope their stress and that will be better for them to enjoy their spare time with other people who closest to them. Those soldiers must realizes about the risks behind of playing gambling so they will not use too much money to gambling and just use gambling for some time so they can quit gambling when they feels it is enough to playing gambling.

At some point, they might relieve their boredom or stress, but since they are men in uniform, they shouldn’t. There are still other activities that can help them cope with stress. While gambling might seem to help, the consequences of engaging in it are far greater for them. We all know how frustrating it is to experience continuous losses, which can become even more stressful.
They can relieve their boredom or stress but not with playing gambling because those soldiers can feels angry when they lose their money. They can not wins the games even if they are soldiers because gambling will depends on their luck and skills to win so they should realizes that. They can playing gambling but with limitation so they will not feels stress or regrets because of their losses in gambling.

Honestly. It's hard to think from the outside on how traumatic military lifestyle is especially if you're living a comfortable life as a civilian either extravagantly or averagely. Joining the military and living a regimented life can be often traumatic. It becomes difficult and worse when you are meant to experience wars. The trauma in participating in communal conflicts or wars as well as some peacekeeping missions require a lot of courage to survive. This is why gambling can really come into play in this sense whereby they can use that moment of playing gambles to past times and unwind the stress that comes with their job description.
Gambling is not the only thing that the military does to reduce stress. Some go hiking, cooking, and other recreational activities that aren't gambling. Gambling should not be justified as a good means of easing stress in the military. Also, they can get professional help or talk to people that could help ease stress.

And let's not forget there are programs conducted by the government to help attend to problems like this in the military. The military men can share their problems and things like fitness, nutrition, stress management, and other things are being carried out at the end of the day.
Honestly, it wont really be that an issue on whatever the  things that they are really that getting involved with but of course it would really be that something that totally different if we do speak about on the time that they are in line of duty on which they would really be doing something like when theyre on operation and ending up on havng some gambling playing session amidst of war or encounter then you are just basically that not doing your job or even minding about you are really that putting up  your life in trouble. This is why it would really be just that too foolish for someone on making up such decision or such action on the time that they are on duty, but if they are really that doing other things when they are on off duty then just like as been said that no matter what it is then it would really be just that fine.

We are just human beings and it would really be that just that right that you should really be knowing on how to cope up or relieve your stress for sometimes because this is where we do really be able to survive.
It would really be just that there are things that needs to be done on moderation so that you wont really be putting upyourself on harm or simply its just common sense that you would really be
needing on doing so and it would really be just that suicide that you would be playing gambling when you are in duty specially on being a soldier on which we know on how risky it would be.
