the existence of crypto currency or altcoin is an alternative investment besides bitcoin. and in my opinion ordinary people will only understand crypto, especially only about Bitcoin. This is my experience before knowing about crypto and not knowing what crypto is. everything started from BITCOIN sources and in the end I started getting to know and find out about Altcoin information.
I think young people are more curious about Bitcoin and they use Bitcoin more than older people. Being open to new things is very important these days. Because we live inside the technology. Older people are usually not very good on things like these and Bitcoin or other cryptos seem more complex than fiat to them. Because they are accustomed to fiat for many many years.
Nothing is difficult to understand in crypto, there alot of books to read, lots of sites now posting about cryptocurrency everyday, lots of YouTube videos to watch, so to understand is simple but to believe and start investing is what I can say is hard.
Yes, to understand it is not that difficult, but to start an initial work in crypto is a little more difficult, because it not only requires experience and trust, but also requires more knowledge and capital to be able to manage work properly and correctly. SoftBank CEO said crypto will be useful but Bitcoin is hard to understand, but what is crypto without bitcoin? And again how is Bitcoin so hard to believe? Is there anyone on here is find bitcoin hard to understand? What's your thought on this?
They will not understand about bitcoin because it is decentralized system. You can't do anything to manage it and to manipulate it, all the system is open source and transparent. They mean crypto currency which has centralized especially ripple that has been make a corporation with some bank and currently they are agree to work together with bank in the US country. At the current situation it is proper for them to realize that they need crypto currency, especially for payment system and send money tool. Just compare with traditional tool who need more proccess to make one transaction and it is really different with crypto currency which just need a simple way.
After all, comparing to Gold,Silver,Stocks,now the cardinal number of crypto world is still too small, there are a few peole have heard about BTC, let alone know BTC what is it.
On the other side, i think investing in BTC is still a gamble, its price is volatile and varies too much, this is the reason why people not in.

It's difficult to understand because normally people do not read or analyze the whitepaper with its technical information and also do not experience the day to day that we do. However, experience in practice is necessary so that we can focus on life and often the theory doesn't contribute to the true reality. In my opinion it's something that we should reflect on.

In what context though? In technical point, yea it is very hard to understand even for me. Blockchain point, mining stuff and other technical stuff, they are really difficult to understand for normal people.But, most of the people use Bitcoin or Crypto in general in the investment side instead. Because that is the most people usually does on Bitcoin for investment.
I kinda understand why most of the millionaires afraid of investing on Bitcoin because of the crypto's nature and they could lose partial of their money if they do that. They feel safer investing on stock instead.

The CEO no doubt must have expressed the opinion of many other heads of organizations and businesses. Except one is an active player in the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem, the high volatility nature of Bitcoin and many Altcoins must remain a mystery to such person.
Even many people in the industry still can't figure out what is actually driving the crypto market. So, I think it's not out of place that the SoftBank boss expresses his frustration about the crypto king.

Where must traditional financial institutions finds it difficult is in fraud tracing. I was once hacked despite my years of experience in the blockchain, i traced to the point, i got totally confused. But if, it is traditional financial institution, you can trace the fraudster without much effort. I love blockchain and its use cases but there are also limitations to it.

Besides SoftBank CEO, how many people say that? Maybe because he (SoftBank CEO) doesn't fully understand cryptocurrency yet, if he wants to learn about cryptocurrency, surely he will fall in love with cryptocurrency. Since it was first created, bitcoin still exists in cryptocurrency, even the price continues to increase. In my opinion, the development of cryptocurrency from year to year due to bitcoin.
Bitcoin is old enough and it is crossing it's decade in crypto. But this is a bit uncommon for the people when they heard about about it. Samely curiosity works and they jumped into it without knowing about the crypto properly that's why they think this is hard to understand.

For me, right from the start there was nothing difficult to understand about Bitcoin, I understood every aspect of it. But that won’t be the same for other people, everyone is totally different and if I find it to be easy as pie, others are not going to see it that way until the time is taken to teach them how it works.It’s just like some people I told about Bitcoin, difference between me and them: when I started Bitcoin I needed nobody’s help in understanding what it’s all about, I studied about it , there were already so many articles there to help me understand it, and depending on how further I want to go with it, but when I tell other people they always want me to guide them through everything, even when they study it online they still need my help.
Not going to lie, if you are above a certain age and/or you haven't checked bitcoin so far, when you first meet with it and try to learn what it is, you are not going to fully understand what it is. I didn't really understand many things when I first started out neither, it was a bit complicated.
However even today when I am so much involved with crypto, I still do not get some stuff, like how there are some places that does lending, you give them 100 dollar worth of eth and they give you 50 dollar worth of something else and you get to do whatever with it?
Why is that lending, how is that advantageous for anyone? I could just use that 100, and if I do not want to ... well I still am by giving it to them anyway? When it's your first time hearing Bitcoin and crypto, it may really sound difficult to understand. I can say that for a normal person, it may become too complicated compared to how we use fiat, and that's understandable since not everyone has the same capabilities to easily understand it. Although I think he has the capability since he's a CEO but I think he's just reluctant or has a different perspective about bitcoin that's why he finds it difficult to understand. Perhaps he finds it difficult because he's not interested but if you do, it will be easy for you to learn.
All bankers can be understood. They understand that this market is money but the governments of the countries don't give them the opportunity to work as they want. In our "tolerant world" they can only speak with such statements.

Seems the SoftBank CEO got very anxious and impatient with his invesment in bitcoin and decided to sell everything, because he couldn't stop watching crypto price charts, consequently disturbing his obligations at work.
Bitcoin is the kind of investment you can't monitor all day long. You need to invest and forget it for a while.
