For better understanding, let me first explain the picture above
From the picture above, we can tell that the person who did this is a gambler, and he or she is also a Christian who probably believes God can actually help him or her win big in betting, so the different Bible apps which he or she put around the sportybet app in the middle mean two things for me.
Whoever taught him or advised him to do that or even him is not aware that you cannot serve two masters he will serve one and despise the other and because he is gambling he just uses his being a Christian to justify what he is doing, he should be guilty on what he is doing because if God will give him a sign he will ask her to choose between the two, be a Christian and totally stop gambling

Quote
Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

We should not involve God in our gambling activity because if we do we will keep playing God because there are more losses than wins, somebody should do a sermon to this guy that he should not involve God in his vice, win or lose God has nothing to do with it.

I believe betting is not scriptural with such knowledge I know that God does not permit it, I have heard from so many people that a game was given to them in the dream to place a bet and most time they try it, it came out successfully, I have also seen people praying to God for him to make their bet a successful one and I can't say he wont answer their prayers because I remember the scripture that's says I will have compassion to whom I will have compassion, that's to say that God can favour people through different means unknowingly to them.
The way of man is not the way of God, he has way of ding his things, to me I will advice we abolish religious mindset in gamble.

I think it is just a troll that are creating things like this to get attention, because he or she knows Christians and other religions do not want people to gamble. Some people just like to be controversial or they are just poking and making fun of religious people.  Roll Eyes

You see these guys in the casino chat channels, using God's name in vain or saying things controversial to get some reaction from the religious people....  Roll Eyes  .... the best thing will be to ignore them, because they get a kick out of it.... when you do react.  Roll Eyes

As we simply put it this way, religion has nothing to do with the outcome of your gambling.
But it is fine to have some personal beliefs applied to when you bet, but better keep it to yourself.
Maybe, we only need respect when it comes to these beliefs and just let people believe what they want.
As long as you are not making trouble to anyone, I guess, it is fine to practice such beliefs.

From a different perspective, I think the photo simply shows ones moral upbringing and way of life. It's almost like a culture this days for online betting apps to be visited and even registered on by any one with any religious beliefs.
Perhaps the gambler also believes God will bless him through his gambling habit. We have seen worse. What matters is that this gambler has hope of redemption someday.
Online betting applications do not specify people who can join and use the application but people who want to join and use the application to gamble. Those who join have their own religion and know about their religion's regulations against gambling but they still join and use the application. This is about each person's desire to use the application to gamble.

Perhaps the gambler believes that by doing such a thing, God will bless him and allow him to win a lot of money from gambling. But they also realize that God may not allow them to win, namely when they lose a bet and they can accept it.

This is their belief or the so called superstitions belief and we cannot invalidate it since its their belief.
Personally, I don’t pray with regards to my gambling activities and I’m just relying on my pure luck and so far winning even if its small happens most of the time. Having that kind of app doesn’t guarantee as well that you are very religious, maybe there’s something behind those apps.  Grin
Some persons may have the believe that the word of God which is the bible will help them to have a better winnings when they gamble. I see gambling as something we are responsible for and don't have to look for other  means that would make it look like they are responsible for our winnings. Those who are making good profits from the same bet other are losing is just all about luck and the amount of skill and momentum we input in our gambling activities. Like some mythology, the believe that spiritual meaning can be attributed to gambling is based on individual dogma and the results they are getting.
I agree it is totally wrong idea and they believe in superstition God's word in the Bible does not directly speak of gambling but of fortune or chance. Gambling activities will depend on the individual's own will capable of some practice based on his own experience and determined entirely by luck in winning. While there are those who find gambling rewarding and fun it tends to be highly addictive and potentially destructive. The Bible does not call gambling a sin although the Bible warns against the love of money and get rich quick schemes. Gambling definitely indicates a love of money which becomes an addiction.

The first question should be does God really exist? Unfortunately, nobody can answer that question for certain and it becomes more a personal believe question than something that can be answered generally for everybody. For the sake of the thread let's assume that God does exist, even though nobody has seen him yet. What we do know is that God doesn't want to involve himself too deeply in the affairs of humans, we can see that by all the wars and suffering happening in the world. Just look at the recent Israel war, why wouldn't God stop all the evil in the world if he could do so? Or how about curing ill children who did nothing wrong in their life? These should be the main focus of God and not helping out one particular gambler with his bets. Also, in many religions they are quite negative towards gambling and it's all about living a good life where you work hard and don't do anything wrong. That is why I am very sceptical that God if he exists would intervene in any gambling activities.

Call your grandparents and tell them you love them
There are no connections unless you make connections, this is bad this is good and so on.

The basic premise here is that religion has since time immemorial, put up some "rules" about good and bad, some of them have scientific truths and some do not. At that time since science had not developed, religion was a method to control the "bad qualities" of humans including gluttony, adultery and so on.

This is the context where gambling comes in. Religious people advocated against gambling because it made people ruin their own and family members lives. This is true even today.

If you wish to gamble, by all means do so but know the good and the bad about it. Just gambling on money does not make you a bad person but one who is addicted and treats others poorly because of their addiction is.

Its all about moderation, just like alcohol, but few implement it.

I am going to spit some truth about gambling and religion and whosoever is not pleased or dislike my claim I apologize

Gambling is spiritually destructive, take this or leave it, it's the truth, it's like opening the door to destiny something without you doing anything and who do you think has such capability if it's not satan? So the spirit of gambling can easily lead anyone away from Gods ways. In the Holy Bible we all know what the Bible said about work, we need to work to get food on our tables, but gambling undermines the virtues of work and striving.

If we think about this very well gambling is automatically a sin, because it breaks all the principles of the way of Christ, if you are religious and you are also gambling you don't know what you are doing, you are simply lust and don't know which road to take, if you really seek to do Gods will you should not get involved in any gambling activities.

This is why some parents disowned their children because they are into gambling, even after they won millions of dollars through gambling, if you are from a religious background it's possible that your parents won't welcome you because you make your money from gambling which is sinful to them the God they served.

First of all that's a ridiculous idea, it is fun also, but who ever do that, believe me god will not help you, why? You are asking something that is bad in the eyes of god and you think gof will help you, you sre just giving yourself a false hope that the fact is up to you wether you win or lose in your gambling games, maybe some have beliefs like that and we respect that but I guess for me this picture is ridiculous at first glance. Anyway its your own belief I will not judge, just saying dont have too much hope and cling on that, it will hurt you if you hope to much or worst you might blame god if you didn't win and have more losses, which is a sin, so don't blame god because anything happens to you depends on what will you do, its up to you.

So there is no connection between gambling and spirituality it's just a front to justify that he is doing the right thing, only compulsive gamblers will do this they want to involve God so people will not look down on them.

Religious groups will not tolerate excessive gambling with their client because they know that gambling will lead you astray from your belief because you cannot serve two masters at the same time.

The spiritual thing was far differ from the gambling activities. The gambler himself should not pray the god for the win or loss into the gambling games. So he not include the gambling to the spiritual things. The tolerance of the game was based on the religious group, the Christianity people doesn’t force the gambler about their involvement. They just guide not to take part to the gambling, but the Muslim people totally against the gambling involvement by the gambler. So they will monitor their followers in the real world. If they find their involvement to the gambling sites, the make the hard warn compared to the other religion heads.

This thread and the Op picture makes me wonder what would a muslin person would think if this person instead of surrounding their gambling application with Korans instead of Bibles.

Is there anyone around here who consider themselves to be a faithful muslin (though, I am not sure if this is the most suitable section of the forum to ask questions to muslin fellows), what would you think if some friend or family member of yours showed a gambling app surrounded with applications to read the sacred Koran to you? Would you feel insulted or rather assumed by such occurrence?  Huh

I believe in Christ, so does my family, and this does not make me upset at all, I find it amused.

Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

This is a difficult answer and will be contradictory, based on the beliefs held regardless of the gambler. in my understanding and understanding, we can see it from all points of view. but for me personally, whatever we do, good or bad, straight or winding, our creator will give us choices according to what we want and want. In this discussion, it is related to gambling. In essence, whatever we do, in the form of business, will always produce results, even if we commit fraud, rob, cheat, and all kinds of things. The Almighty, will give blessing to whatever we do.

However, every action, effort, or any kind, will produce different results. Every action we take is always approved, no matter whether it is right or wrong. It's just that, we will receive the punishment according to what we do and that is the law of cause and effect. If you believe in a supreme being, a power, he can give you fortune through anything, even from gambling. but in context, it varies depending on our conditions and situations. In fact, it could be related to luck. well, that's why I said, the answer will be contradictory. But it all depends on the extent of your understanding.

In Asia, there are quite a few gamblers who carry out certain rituals involving spirits to be involved in gambling. usually, for lottery gambling. there are those who are able to make it happen, but with certain rewards from the entity.  The point is, whatever we do is all with the permission of the Almighty.  For the rest, we will be responsible.  btw, if someone doesn't have faith, trust, just ignore what I say.

I don't think God involves himself with gambling. In the bible, Jesus Christ destroyed the template of gamblers and chased them out of synagogue.

However, I know there is a place of magic or vudo in gambling but the occurrence rate for winning is also not guaranteed. Maybe a misture of luck to the believe we have in the bet could make it work if we have done the most reasonable bet because you don't expect to bet on 20 soccer games on a slip and expect to win millions of dollars.
Funny enough, most of the things we do are gambling. Starting a business is gambling because you are not sure you will make profit. Getting married is gambling because you are not sure if it's gonna work and give you the peace and blessing of marriage. Going out of your house is gambling because you don't know what risk awaits you as you go. Life itself is gambling because you are not sure of anything. Investment in BItcoin, real estate, stock and anything is pure gambling. Each of these scenarios have their level of risks and measures in place to mitigate them.

When people hide under religion to condemn gambling, It actually makes me marvel at their level of ignorance. Gambling is way bigger and broader than many people actually think.

Its very funny to see you include marriage in those things you mentioned. Well, it is a bit true, because if any marriage isn't in a good condition, that means either the man or the woman has lost a lot already. If the marriage is in a good condition, that means they both win the game.

However, gambling has been in existence even before B.C, like in the bible, it's been recorded that when Jesus Christ was crucified his garments were divided into 4 pieces and it was shared among those who crucified him and those people that crucified Jesus used his garments to play LOTs (gamble), so I don't think gambling is a new thing in the world anymore and I really believe that life as a whole is all about gamble.

Not sure if there are relation though you are correct that the creator of the picture is a gambler that wanted to be saved and gives Him/Her luck in every betting.

But me personally ? i don't think that God will interfere in our gambling activities or even if? maybe losses will be our prize because this is against the Bible(according to my understanding)

Gambling is somewhat not bad for me if you are not taking any money from others and not abandoning your obligation in your family we are safe to gamble..
Sooner or later he would really definitely be able to realize that it isnt working but since your mind would really be telling that this is really that something real then you would really be pushing up yourself to bet even more because you do believe that those bible apps or whatever prayer app that surrounds your app would really be working and you would really be doing your best on trying to find out whether it would really be that effective or not. If you are that type of person on whose really that headed, then for sure you would pursue on something like this. Do they have connection? Of course there's none, it is really just that people do mold their own beliefs on which they do know that it could affect their luck rate.

Just like on what others been saying that if you would really be finding yourself be that desperate on what you are doing because you are really that believing that this could really work without even trying out to be wary about that it cant really be just that possible that God has to do with your winning rate or simply being lucky. Everything would really be that random and there's no way that you could really be able to
influence it out. There's no such thing into this world that could really affect out your luck rate which it would really be just that totally random in the first place.

In his mind though he has something to believe in and nothing can get that man down since it is in his faith that one day he'll hit that jackpot. All he needs is that hope.
I couldn't really say he in the right path.

It doesn't really say which sport he is betting but it must be something he follows which he knows who to put his money on. Sport is not just based on luck therefore he knows and he just needs a little help from God.
