I don't think that a spiritual assignment or power can make you to win gambling and if it's so I think that gambling nobody would have missed to win in the gambling, because almost every body will go to a spiritual store to buy items and perform rituals before betting  of any kind in a different gambling websites, the connection between gambling and spiritual connections is very far, a gambling is something you have knowledge of and it means that you assume that this thing will be in this form and you are not sure of that, so for you win its by luck and some insights you already have on it.

What I had yet to see in this section, but I don't know why, I'm not surprised. No, God has nothing to do with gambling outcomes. Unless you live in a pre-scientific world and you dedicate yourself to pray prayers or even sacrifices when there is a drought to ask God for rain instead of making wells and canalizations you shouldn't believe in things like that. God, in case he exists, has no intervention in the things that happen in the day to day, at most we can assume in a scientific way that he set the rules of the universe and started it, but if you think that by praying to him he will intervene making it rain or making you win the bet you are scam meat.

For better understanding, let me first explain the picture above
From the picture above, we can tell that the person who did this is a gambler, and he or she is also a Christian who probably believes God can actually help him or her win big in betting, so the different Bible apps which he or she put around the sportybet app in the middle mean two things for me.

1. He or she wants God to get involved in his or her betting and make him or her win  Grin.
2. Protection so that no evil will make him loss beta unnecessarily, since we Christians believe that the word of God protects, and we all know that the word of God is contained in the Bible.

Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?
I cannot understand that picture in any other way than that person being heavily addicted to gambling, I could understand a person putting themselves on the hands of god in the case they are suffering a terminal disease or something similar, but to do this just so they can win a few bets shows how far gone and how out of touch with reality they really are, so people should keep that image on their minds and use it to remind themselves to the extremes the addicted gamblers will go to try to get a win.

No. I mean if you really wanted to then you can technically let God participate in your activities by following whatever divine judgement he has that he sends on you every now and then, but in the eyes of a regular dude like me, that just looks like some dumbass looking for signs so that whatever he does can make sense when in reality, it doesn't. Don't get me wrong I don't have anything with having a religion and following God, but using him as an excuse so that you can what, make good bets? That's just pure idiocracy.

Such believes only arises when he or she might have won continuously because some kind of signs. Which made them believe that a divine intervention made them won their bets. I agree with you that using God in this situation is an excuse but I have seen many celebrities doing the same and acknowledging the fact that without a god and his blessings they couldn't have made this big.

I won't interfere with anyone believes if they think they needs the lord's blessings for everything they do then so be it. Who am I to judge anyone. It is their wish and their nature of doing any work and I don't think it is unethical.

Should've made it into the shape of the cross. Much more effective  Grin

Definitely there's no connection on asking for some divine things or that prayers would really be that working out because there's no such thing about asking for some luck when we do gamble.
We do know that luck do comes randomly and there's no way that it could really be influenced by any prayer or app or even on how religious you are on which you would really be that
still getting those random results or outcomes knowing gambling is that a game of chance.

i am also not inclined believing that these 2 are connected. however, you are free to have such beliefs on this matter. so long you are not harming anyone with your beliefs, i have no prob with that.
gamblers tend to be superstitious sometimes as they apply it on their gambling, thinking that one way or another it may affect their betting results.
there's no problem with such thinking, just make sure whatever you can get out of this will be on you and blamed to someone else.

There are really things that we do really believe that it would really be that affecting our luck and this is why we do see different behaviors and things that people been doing
just for them to increase their winning chance.

We do even see having those kind of betting patterns or something that they do chant, or something that they do bring with them on the time that they do play.
This one shows even on an app which is bible and the sports betting site or app that he is really that betting into. It doesnt make sense yet this couldnt changed a thing
no matter what.

No, I do not think God play any part in our gambling activities.  Same way God let us decide for whatever path we take in our life.

Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

I do not think winning and losing depends on how much faith we have in God.  If that is so, then there should be no poor religious people living in the world.

As of the picture above, I honestly think this is blackmail!! This gambler is kind of saying I will keep being a religious person on condition that you give me some kind of favour by winning, which isn't right!!! Let people get into these religious activities for the right reasons not trying to put God to the test...but then again I don't blame them because external factors such as bad economies, bad financial well-being have put them in this awkward position.

This is more like a wolf hiding in a sheepskin, IMHO.

I think the person that designed this picture with the sportybet app in the middle of the bible is being superstitious. What does the people have to do with a gambling app, or does the Bible look like a betting book. I don't ascribed any assertion to that picture, I feel the owner just did that for clout chasing.

A strong believer or pastor of a church will preach to you that God doesn't support gambling and it is evil for a believer of Christ to participate in it.

Bringing gambling activities into a religious belief that God will favor you if you hand everything(your gambling activities) over to him through prayers, he will come and answer you by making you win bet games. That's wrong and a poor reason to have the person change his or her mindset that gambling is entirely on luck and doesn't need a spiritual force to back the winning.

People should know that God never supports or promotes gambling to his believers because they eventually blame him if the gambler loses a lot of money from his betting, gamblers should separate their gambling interests from their religious beliefs.

We all know that gambling is a vice that will lead you to a life of irresponsible spending and your relationship with your family, you can pray to God but do not expect that he will do wonders to your bets and make you win, because you will just justify your addiction to gambling.

The fact that gambling has been linked to some kind of greed at times, I don't think we have any religion that welcomes greed as most religions are centred around love and sharing and can't be associated to gambling.

One cannot blackmail God, by the way. So I do not see this as blackmail but rather the silly pursue of someone who is in gambling of any charm they can get to increase their chances of winning big.
It is kind like a coping mechanism, the person knows how unlikely it is to outsmart the casino, so has to resort to powers beyond his imagination to try to convince them to help him, though this is not how it works.
I am afraid that in the pursue of any kind of charm or power which could provide temporary victory, this person may be willing to deal with dark forces in exchange of money, when he realizes the almighty do not help those how are greedy and seek to earn money by chance.

I don't think that's how it works with God. He provides but would never help us out in this bad activity. Gambling is a sin so why would God be around it?
That's just a superstitious belief from whoever posted that photo and he might be near getting crazy or being a gambling addict because he starts to do those kinds of things in his application. I am only amazed that he made an effort to install every Bible application in the Playstore but I doubt he is reading every version of it. One Bible application should be enough and we might not even finish it after years of reading it.
This is near crazy mode if we do shit like this, we are too eager to win our bets that we believe God is the answer for it while it had always been the gambling sites who have the system all rigged in the first place.

Firstly I don't think there's any part of the bible that supports gambling, so I don't think God is in support of it, because it's stayed that quick money and all that isn't what God associates himself with but then sometimes some lucky people think they got God involved and it turned out I'm their favour or maybe it was their faith just working for them but then I'm yet to see any scriptural support for gambling.

The perception of gambling and spirituality, I think is more of an individual reasoning, some persons who are christians don't see immorality in gambling meanwhile some do and they back it up on spiritual ground while the others don't, so at some.point I see more of relativity in it than any form of absoluteness because some persons Use dark powers for gambling and It works for them, that can be considered gambling with spirituality, but When it comes to Christianity, I haven't come across any scriptural support to gambling.

God is against gambling because it is an ungodly act. Whatever can destroy someone is against the will of God. This is the reason why when you see a man that is so deep in his religious life, he will forbid gambling. We have read some gambling big wins that the  Father of the boy rejected the money and told the boy not to enter his house.

I am surprise at the level at which we ascribe so much power and authority to religion and also take religion to mean God,  our religion may prohibit gambling,  but then does God really care what men Judge,  I am not certain that gambling destroys someone until now that you mentioned that in this comment because we have both Muslim,  sustain and other people even.

As long as gambling is done with high regard to transparency,  trust and other lifestyles that to will not buy into or are ready to leave with at some point, so there is a news for every should come to a point.

I am a former Christian and they believe gambling is immoral and their God will not going to bless you with financial abundance if you gamble or engages into several vices. Well, that's just their belief though, but if the person who did that is indeed a christian, well I'm not sure why he did that as it is against their practices.
As for me, I don't consider myself a christian anymore but I believe in the sole God the creator and I don't think gambling in his point of view is immoral or it is against his will, so yeah we could mix gambling and spiritual beliefs, but of course that depends on our own beliefs as well since most of the religious group are against gambling.

The religion against the gambling or betting because it was deal with the real money,So for the benefit of their followers the religion was against the gambling. We know gambling had both the win and loss chance. So we can either make the big win or loss the entire money in the gambling. So the religion not allow to play the gambling.God is our creator and help us in all the hard situation, either you pray or not.The God will help us in different way.The only thing is we need to try to get away from the hard situation. So the God will show the right part to us.Not only the Christianity also the Islam against the gambling of their followers.

I won't judge the person in the story. We do whatever we feel will give us an edge in gambling no matter how stupid it may look or sound to other people. So long as it makes sense to us we do it. The person in this story obvious is a religious fanatic. If he isn't, then he'll would know that God, the Devil and whatever metaphysical being out there that people believe in and worship are indifferent to our gambling activity. They don't fucking care whether you win or lose. That is why we have common sense to guide us and give us a gentle nudge from the onset of irresponsible gambling.
Sometimes I wonder why people feel that religious believe, and the things they do in accordance with their believe will have any impact or influence in their gambling life,or their religion will have a way of making them win while gambling, these type of believe seems so achaic to me because a gambler knows that in gambling, their is luck, and if you aren't always lucky enough, there is nothing you can do about it that involves the spirit, all you need to do then is to go back to learn the different strategies you can employ, which will make you a better gambler,or better still, look for a way to study it,or learn from the people that are experienced, following the games step by step, atleast it will help you in making the right choices while Gambling.Religion has nothing to do with how you win or lose.
