I was also disappointed by Hamilton, I would definitely have expected more from him, but I didn't think Perez would be so strong, I started the new season weakly with just 13 points, but it's still a long way off 🤣

Thank you guys,I was watching the race thinking that I put Leclerc and was a bit sad when I fired up the browser and checked my picks in Superbru it was lap 52 of the race and I thought wow,I am finding correctly 4 out of 4 first persons and this should be a huge achievement for me.I think it is the absolute record for a race so far in all these seasons as 20 points in a race I have never seen before in such competition,I think I held the record in the previous season or the season before that with cls63 at 18.5 points if I remember correctly,yeah I never expected to top 20 points in the first race of the season,so yeah great start of the season like Max said in the post race interview,couldn't ask for more.

Waiting for the free bet,hopefully before Tuesday to place that on Champions games.

my picks for podium didn't do much, and 14 points, which is usually a solid result was way down from expected

just to add to twitter washdown, it does sound as a boring season from the start, Max is just waiting for math to give him title, no competition at all

I thought that my 15 points was not bad performance, but when I saw other results, I realised that it was just average. I predicted qualification winner, fastest lap and 9 of 10 Top 10 finishers, only struggled with exact positions.
Congrats to @swogerino with first yellow cap of season. With getting EBPI'm afraid that he will leave no chances for us Cheesy

I must admit that I almost fall asleep during the race. There was no questions about the winner already after first turn. Furthermore, there weren't much action in rest of peloton what made race boring to watch.

Taking my comment from before the qualy i think i can say, "we are initialy in a good path" , and i say this because if you look more than only the Max Verstappen pole, we have the first 9 qualified into 0.5 seconds if you compare this with the last season in the alst season we already had 0.6 till the 5º position and more than a second in the nine and ten places, so now the pack is much more coompact than the year before, very good news.

Also last year RB makes a 1-2 and now a 1-5 with MV and Perez.

So we can expect at least more fun than the last year i think.

About Alpine..... man that cant happen to a factory team, is more than a shame.

In qualifying it is just a simple lap so I would not take it for granted that Perez will again under-perform this season too,after all it is his last with Redbull at least in papers so most likely he would want to challenge everyone who have been skeptical about him.I will watch the race of today just one hour later from now and I will see if he is truly committed to perform much better in the race compared to the other season or if he will still continue to be a mediocre driver as always.

As for Ferrari even if they win this track it means nothing as they are always performing well here and then they start their downfall,sometimes because of tracks sometimes because of bad management.

Verstappen is further ahead than you might have expected in Thursday practice, Mercedes and Ferrari on a par, Hamilton was a bit disappointing for me, I would have expected more. Hulkenberg is a surprise, otherwise everything in the top 10 is as expected. Hopefully the race will be more exciting than last year, but Verstappen was very strong in the long runs on Thursday.

I was thinking that Perez would finish with a better placement. I made my prediction on his finishing the race in 2nd place. However it doesn't look much possible for now.

If the competition will be tougher this season, RB might regret their decision to keep him. He was perfect for them last year, but they were on cruise control.

Nothing unexpected in qualifying. It seems that Ferrari have some unused potential to go faster, but on the other hand I'm not sure that Max has showed his best. Haas looks fast on qualifying, question what they can show on races.

does it call for an easier season for him, probably

LeClerc proved he can have good season, hoped for better score for Hamilton, but didn't happen, he was on eight in the end
all while Russell was way better, and Perez is not worth staying in Red Bull

Exactly.I doubt very much that Ferrari is able to be topping the real thing.Also McLaren I think is more than capable of scoring higher positions in the official qualifying.

For me is the first time I am enjoying full EBP points since race one as the previous seasons I missed the first race despite me scoring prize spots in both other previous seasons.
