I regret to wake up so early to watch the race,at the beginning I thought now that Verstappen is out of the race we are going to see some real racing and competition but Ferrari with Sainz looked like another Redbull dominating the race,so for me nothing changed and we should not blame Verstappen for winning so many races,it is not his fault,like it was not Sainz fault that executed a perfect race in Melbourne today early in the morning.
For the pool not much has changed as I believe 90% of us had Verstappen to win from what I saw from the race results in the Superbru now,3 races already gone so soon and next race now after 2 weeks again early in the morning for us in Europe,hopefully we will see not such a race again.

I don't regret that I wake up so early to watch race. Verstappen issue looked strange because such things rarely happens in early phase of race. I'm wondering did problems with breaks already started when Sainz overtake him because it looked so easy. And after that there was no questions about today's winner.
Alonso got 20 seconds penalty for accident with Russell. IMO, it's not right, I don't think that Alonso early braking was dangerous, it's more about Russel who failed to react.

Due to the two mechanical failures of Verstappen and Hamilton, the cards have been reshuffled in our prediction round. Sainz is currently driving towards victory after his operation, Ferrari are generally very strong this weekend and will probably take the double victory this weekend, I'm curious to see if they can confirm it at the next race.
I got the lowest score of people who submitted, I saw MoSala forgot to submit his picks, and casperBGD of course has already left, can't believe I was so dumb to miss the timing, but even as it happened, I love the results!
Anyone who supported Ferrari will be hoping this RB mechanical failure is more than just this race, any details yet if it's permanent or something?

After I watched the last two practice races where Leclerc won, I then took a chance on him winning the pole position. The bookies had both Leclerc and Verstappen with odds of 2.2 on who will win the Qualifying.. When I saw the odds, it gave me more hope for Leclerc to win😂Unfortunately, things went wrong 😁 But we have to take some chances too, otherwise it will be boring 😁 I also took a chance that Leclerc will have the fastest lap, so let's see what happens in a few hours😁

I was really indecisive between picking a Ferrari driver and Verstappen for pole position first. Verstappen outweighed the other option later on. 
Even if I picked a Ferrari my choice would be Leclerc. He was really disappointing in Q3... 
It turned out that his car wasn't configured properly so he couldn't be much competitive for pole position.
What a return by Sainz, right? I really want to watch the start of the race but I'm not even sure if I can get up that early haha.
It looks like tomorrow can be a good day for Ferrari but it is up to not messing things up on strategies also.

It is difficult to wake up for sure tomorrow,while the race in the last years have been in 7 AM tomorrow because of drivers complaining it will start 5 AM so most of us will be in REM deep sleep at that time in Europe however I have put the alarm on in my Xiaomi smartwatch so I really want to wake up and watch this race.
Those EBP if not gotten can hit you hard as I said as that means 2 points minus and in a pool like this 2 points minus is a big impact overall when it will come to the end results of the pool.I am waiting to see if anyone will beat my absolute record of 20 points for a race so far
,in this one it is highly unlikely so most likely let's see in the next race .

I don't want to quote everyone, but well, unlike Sainz, Leclerc was further away from pole and the chance was smaller. But good to see (even if my tip didn't work out) that Ferrari is also closer to Verstappen in the long term runs than Verstappen thought. Anyway, I hope Ferrari can keep up the pace and is a real competitor to RedBull tomorrow.

Come on boys! I warned you before the qualifying session because of thinking that so many people might forget to make prediction because of the session time. 
Maybe Sainz's unexpectedly good performance might help you make up for the EBP that you lost. I don't think that anyone who made prediction before the qualifying session put Sainz on podium.

Nice to see that Sainz is fully fit and can keep up the pace. Hamilton has disappointed again at the moment and didn't make it into the final qualifying session.
I also went with the Leclerc pole but ended up again with a smash pole for Verstappen it can happen he was always in the second position really nearby so they went full gas on qualy and took it.
Another desilusion from Ferrari.

Whoops. No EBP for me. Damned Superbru showed as Saturday but I neglected to see or remember Australia is many, many hours ahead.
That is 3 points lost for EBP and Max pole... will trudge over and enter my picks with a grumble.

There will be quite some occasions for him during this race,the race of Australia is well known for the huge number of incidents happening and this can bring in the Safety Car which can impact the race and the strategy of the teams.I knew that Verstappen would get pole as soon as I saw the FP3 Practice and saw that he missed it there by a very very small margin against Leclerc.There has been a penalty for Perez and Perez wills start 6th from 3rd,the penalty was given to him for impeding Nico Hulkenberg during the qualifying.
As for losing EBP can have a really bad impact overall throughout this prediction pool,2 points can make a difference in the final standings.

Hello to everyone. As the time of the Australian GP is different compared to many races in the calendar don't forget to make prediction. One shouldn't forget that every 1 point is very valuable especially in the F1 pool. Therefore I'm tagging the people who use telegram bot to see this post. Good luck to everyone! I hope that Red Bull have a mechanical failure.

Failures doesnt happen so often to Honda engines that are used by RedBull Racing team, so you will have to hope that other teams improve a lot

Agree with cryptofrka. Bearman should do it, it's like asking a reserve player to warm up and then ask someone else from bench who hasn't even put on a jersey yet to play.
I think the fact that the drivers complained from last year race that they barely had sun light in the ending laps of the track surely have impacted those number of incidents.I think despite the race starting one hour earlier still I think it is not because of low sun light but because they were near each other many times last race because of the safety car coming in.The fact that most cars have not a huge gap compared to each other excluding Redbull of course will surely make this race much more colorful than those 2 first races we had so far.
Personally I only look forward to only this race that does not take place in Europe where the best F1 tracks are,all other races outside of Europe are boring usually.
I've no idea what things look like in countries with 4 seasons, we have sun all the time here, just whether it's wet or dry sun or cloudy or no clouds lol.
In fact I didn't even know Australia had 4 seasons, even though by right they are so far down South of course they must have daylight seasons.
I think F1 should have like Olympics, Winter and Summer
But maybe non-Europe tracks are just so boring to try do more? What about US tracks?

Sainz started in practice today, so it shouldn't be a problem, but we'll have to wait for the third practice tomorrow to see if he wants to drive in qualifying and the race, if not it shouldn't be a problem if the replacement starts in qualifying?
I have now placed my Superbru tip, and probably a bit risky as I have not put Verstappen on pole position (which probably won't happen).
