Nice to hear Alonso stay in Formula one for more time, he is gonna be the grandfather of the drivers.

About Aston Martin.... i dont see them doing step forwards with the car but lets hope they can do something for the future seasons, i heard other rumours about Newey coming to Aston Martin, but that seems more complicated.

First of all they need to have a second driver, Stroll is not even a driver right now.

They just released Alonso breaking news in Istagram F1 page as he signed up again next year with Aston Martin so I don't know about the Aramco news but Alonso is staying for another year with Aston Martin.I think Stroll though needs some real improvement as he cannot just shout out in the radio the Canadian version of GP2 in Japanese Grand Prix where he said,"can't believe how bad our speed is in the straight" complaining about him not being able to overtake or coming near through DRS to the car in front of him which in theory is slower yet in Japan it looked the complete opposite.I don't know if it was Stroll that bad but I think that in the straight there are no bad drivers, any driver can push it to the limit.

There have been some speculations like Red Bull are interested in Alonso in case of Verstappen to leave. Formula 1 official X account shared his statement on the topic. It looks like he stays at Aston Martin.  Grin

Good news for Aston Martin because they have no hope with Stroll otherwise.  Tongue  They say Aramco might decide to buy Aston Martin soon. They are said to be planning to make this team a competitive one for championships.

No matter what Aston Martin will need to work really hard. They are far away from the beginning of last season. Alonso is doing his best but the car limits aren't high enough.

Awesome prize pot

And amazing distribution of the prizes, i dont know who proposed that Tongue

I'm glad that you liked it. We worked for hours to determine the prize distribution and I think we caught an excellent balance in the end. Cheesy Joking aside thank you for being helpful on the prize distribution. The table looks quite fair for everyone.

For me Sainz and Perez are very similar, and not only because they speak spanish. Both are above average drivers but nothing more, not world championship soul there i think. Amazing second driver for top teams or super first driver for medium teams.

Sainz is absolutely a very good driver and he would absolutely find himself a good team in F1 next year. However if you have an opportunity to sign a deal with a legendary name like Hamilton you should absolutely do it. Hamilton is quite an influential name not only on the track but also outside of it. I think that the sponsorship revenue of Ferrari will increase significantly as well next year. My biggest dream has been to watch Hamilton in the red car. Therefore I want next season to start already now. Tongue

Trying to catch up here so help me out: if Sainz is such a great driver, why doesn't he have a place yet next season? He waiting for RB to court him or?

He's not great, Perez is just shit Grin
Actually, Sainz would be great for RB - at least I feel so. A better driver than Perez, yet not good enough to trouble Verstappen.

Currently RB doesn't care, their car is too good again. But if Ferrari starts to close the gap, Perez is the weak link that might cost you the title.

OK Superbru needs a "copy" option. I'll just copy Slissy from now on. Practice results, not sure, if I'd changed my mind in races before I'd have put Leclerc even higher up the grid, I have half a feeling some drivers are trolling during practice.

I did well, but a lot of you did better. Was 2nd, am now 7th, still a long season to go.
I made a mistake in trusting Ferrari too much, but I simply cannot put Perez ahead of Sainz. Sainz is 4 times better driver.

There's always a balance what to do after the qualifiers. It was known after that RB will dominate, but to change it and lose 2 points is always a risk.

I'm glad that you liked the prize pool. I was sure that Red Bull drivers would in top 2 positions this week. Because Suzuka is one of tracks on which Red Bull are the strongest. The thing that caused me to fall behind this week was my predicting the positions of Leclerc and Sainz wrong.

Thankfully we have plenty of races ahead of us. Therefore I will have a lot of opportunities to make up for this. Grin

To me Stroll and the amateur mechanics of Aston Martin made me lose that 20.5 points yet I am very happy with 19.5 points as a consolation prize and I am still leading although during the last three races I have lost 1 point each,if I continue with this rhythm in the end of the season I would be 20 points down the leader so I hope to improve especially when European races start because I don't think there is much to improve in China, most likely Redbull will dominate again there and the other teams will be following just like they did in Japan.I say so because in Europe we see the first upgrade kits to many teams being tested and deployed so hopefully it changes something.

That is the problem, you should not put your predictions before watching all the free practice sessions, the three of them and the third one is just a couple of hours before the official qualifying, this gives you great hints as how mostly the line up will be and which team is most likely to dominate the race or teams.
Thank you for good tip, but you didnt say how we can watch this free practices?
Qualifications and practice runs are very important part of winning points but main race is totally different and it can have crashes, more malfunctions and different tactics.
My goal is to perform better than last season and win something in the end.

Well the race was at 2AM in my country so you know.... saturday night im not gonna stay at home to see a race from this season....
You need to make some sacrifices to win more points in this competition Grin
F1 Prize pool looks amazing and worth fighting for, so we better get ready for Chinese Grand Prix.

Great prize pool honestly.  Grin  The first place prize is just something else really. I wish I started the season better than this.  Roll Eyes  The season is still long though as it has been only 4 races until now.

As for the Japanese GP I'm so regretful for not changing the places of Sainz - Leclerc. First I thought of adding Sainz to 3rd place but later I wanted to take a risk by thinking most people would add Sainz too. However Leclerc's qualifying performance was really bad and even his high effort during the race wasn't enough.  Sad

If the investigation for the Russell - Piastri incident during last laps of the race ended up with Russell's being penalized for 5 seconds I would collect extra 1.5 points.

I believe Russell deserved a penalty there: https://youtu.be/Z3-IulIyBtU?si=KOobIQQddiJdlerr&t=424 . Piastri was ahead of Russell at the turn so Russell must have left the space...

I had 17.5 points and I thought this was not bad until I saw eight players with more points than me  Tongue
Red Bull and Verstappen domination continues as expected.

At the beginning I was also satisfied with my 15 points, but when I saw the table with two participants with a total of 20.5 points I almost couldn't believe it, congratulations to Slissy and hsh1.

Very impressive performance, I hope things go better for me at the next Grand Prix and I can catch up a bit.

Hahaha same here, when i see my 14.5 said to myself....."well not bad at all, lets see...." and when i see people over 20 points i know i was fully fucked up.

Congrats to Slissy and goodpunt for winning the Yellow Cap for the Japanese GP @ Superbru

Thanks -  to win so many yellow caps like last week feels actually very good  Cool

Well done to goodpunt also for getting over 20 points this round😁

Thanks congrats of course to you too Smiley
I actually mixed up Norris and Russell again like I always do and felt so sick after realising it but fortunately Russell was able to get past Piastri.
And thankfully Russell didn't get a penalty for an earlier incident with Piastri.
That said Mercedes disappoints me very much!

Thanks! It's the first time I get over 20 points 😁  I've had a very good round so let it continue like that 😁

Well done to goodpunt also for getting over 20 points this round😁

This season I have started to follow the practice rounds before I make any choice.. This round it was between Stroll and Tsunoda, but after I saw the practice rounds I was more sure of Tsunoda to be top 10. luckily it went my way😁

Team Slissy is ready for the Chinese Grand Prix😁

Those truly are some hot smoking prices out here fellas  Grin.I mean I am leading the pack so far after 4 races but I am absolutely sure that most likely I won't end up first in this tournament although I think I have high chances of making it in the top 4 judging from what is happening in the pool.

Nevertheless even the two last places get the entry fee back which is cool beside the fun and possibility to win a free bet every race week from the yellow cap.I am still in tears that the 3 mBTC prize is out of my reach after my record was just surpassed in today race in Japan  Grin.
