From our last rounds, it seems like odds are only coming up the week when the race is happening.
Las Vegas Grand Prix is still almost 2 weeks to go, so odds will come up next Monday, most likely.
I'm looking forward to it so much I thought it was this week  Grin

Las Vegas will be an interesting race so far and while it's only 2 races to go, where Max is having his title already, at least Perez will be forced to push in case he wants to have a decent shot for a seat next year. It's know that RedBull will replace him, should Perez continue to struggle.
I can imagine, he'll do very well here. It's a street race, where Perez has done well, overally and his career is at stake, so he needs to show a good race.
Probably, Leclerc might be forced to take an engine penalty, if his engine is really damaged from Brazil's race, where he had a DNF on his formation lap. But no confirmation yet.

Yeah it was a really interesting weekend. It was very unlucky for Leclerc. Because he was out in formation lap already. He lost power and found himself in the barrier after that. Ferrari must even be very surprised about how Leclerc still wants to stay there longer.

Alonso and Perez made us watch an amazing competition after a lasting boring race mostly. They were side by side while getting past the finish line. I wish Perez made it to podium as I picked him for that.  Cry

By the way Norris was really impressive. Despite the data related to race simulation pace shows McLaren as the 4th fastest it looks like the characteristics of this track was quite fitting for them.

Well, well, well, what a turn of events. So Stroll did actually make the most of his starting position, but I'm glad I left my picks untouched. With 2 races left and somehow managing to creep into 6th spot, all I need to do now is ensure I keep as consistent as possible, pick the safe bets, and likely walk away with a prize this season.

I know it's not much of a difference 6th and 10th but 7th gives me a wee bit more breathing space. Maybe even an eye on 5th? Haha

Ricciardo is set to replace Perez, most likely.
Not just after Ricciardo's recent performance in Mexico. And how Perez crashed out, once again, of course...

A solid second driver is exactly what RedBull wants and Perez did a good job in 2021, most of 2022 and start of 2023.
But his recent performance is just awful.

Ricciardo currently looks like he's exactly what RedBull wants: a solid second driver to finish on podium regularly, to get a safe constructor championsship for RedBull, to get 2nd place in WDC for Ricciardo and to help Max like Perez did in 2021.

Riccardo is definitely the right driver in terms of performance, but shouldn't Red Bull also focus on the time after Verstappen? Maybe Max also wants to win the world championship with Ferrari? Alpha Tauri would be good for that, but unfortunately I don't see anyone there to replace Perez.

As for the race itself, Ferrari denied Leclerc the chance to get a good position, Norris and especially Alonso both had a very good race and the battle between Alonso and Perez was really exciting at the end.

Yeah it was nice pace from Norris which was less than 4 seconds in gap to Verstappen this time for 24 laps which in the race is a doable thing to have a go and try to undercut by going first in the box most likely if there is not that real traffic and in this track I think traffic when drivers come out of the box won't be a problem as this is a super fast track and a short one.

I think I was lucky to put my picks 18 minutes before the qualifying started this time as I misjudged the starting time of official qualifying which was 19 PM in Europe time and I thought it was 20 PM,so lucky 2 EBP points and one for the pole of Verstappen,it is always nice to start the race with 3 points already in your pocket  Grin.

Even Max was managing the tyres.

When he pushed he was gaining half of a second per lap.
IF nothing happens there will be no competition for the win.

I doubt nothing will happen considering the weather conditions were not stable at all yesterday and I doubt that have changed in less than 24 hours. So I am expecting a good race which hopefully will start and not risk to see a SPA of 2021 which happened only 2 laps and the race was considered done after the fans waited there for more than six hours to see that race and that was a big disappointment for them,I hope this will not happen here.

Yet I am hoping some light rain to medium rain accompanies the race, the whole race would be wonderful as this would make us see which driver is the best under such conditions and maybe we will see another different winner for this race.

I might make risky choices in the last 3 weeks for this reason. For example for pole position.

I see you didn't take the risk after all, and it was the right call. Pole, fastest, all seem safely secured for the Dutchman. We funnily have 8th and 9th the same but no Stroll.

Yeah I couldn't do it for pole position.  Grin  Because it is really difficult to steal a pole position from Verstappen this season. Leclerc did it in Mexico maybe but it was due to a bad last sector by Verstappen on his last try.

By the way we have left the sprint race behind as well. Verstappen won the race which wasn't a surprise. However Norris' pace really impressed me. His start was also effective. These all make think about what he can do in the race tomorrow. If he keeps up this pace he can be one of the biggest candidates for podium. Perez and Hamilton changed roles about performance as well. I wasn't expecting that after watching the recent races.

I'm not for a moment falling for Stroll, though I see a strong case for 9th or 10th place? And despite threats of rain, I guess dry means no surprises, yeah? I'll stick to my pre-quals. Not worth chucking away my 2 points.

Fun day for sure.

The good thing is that this track is perfect for the sprint race, with a long speed part.
The bad thing is that once again Max is ahead he is basically almost already win another race, in this case the sprint race.

Qualifying finished quite interestingly. Because we were able to watch only the first half of Q3 due to the huge storm broke out. And in that half there was a really surprising result we got. Stroll and Alonso are going to start right behind Leclerc in 3rd and 4th places respectively. I can understand Alonso's improvement but Stroll really surprised me.

Norris was the fastest driver in Q2. However he didn't have enough time to improve his best lap. But he looked promising for the race anyway. Verstappen didn't lose pole position to Leclerc this time. He was complaining about the underfloor of the car by saying that he was jumping like a kangaroo.  Grin  I wonder if he would have any issues with that during the race.

I can't imagine Leclerc joining RedBull either, I always remember Hamilton/Rosberg and Prost/Senna. Leclerc certainly won't or wouldn't line up behind Verstappen, and Verstappen would of course maintain his position. But I don't know who could replace Perez, maybe a younger talent from RedBull itself?

Most Likely Riccardo.

I don't think they wanna risk with a younger driver, at this point if they are going to do so it is not a good move, it is just better to keep Perez

I agree about a choice of a younger driver. Red Bull tried that with Alexander Albon before and the result wasn't good at all I'm afraid. He was making simple mistakes and this was due to lack of inexperience also. Not all young drivers are as amazing as Verstappen in the end and even he made mistakes in the past.  Smiley

If they really part ways with Perez my candidate is also going to be Ricciardo for the seat. He isn't as competitive as in the past so I don't think he would be a problem for Verstappen unlike the past.

Alonso is also rumoured but he wouldn't be a wise choice for Red Bull if they want to have some decent gap between Verstappen and their second driver.

Today is the official qualifying at 20.00 PM European time so guys do not forget to put your picks before such time as only three races remain and losing these precious EBP points it can result in catastrophic dip down in positions as it is very close in here.

Brazil has always been a track which has favored Mercedes more than any other car but let's see how things will develop during this time and also see if Verstappen is hungry to beat even more records,in this season he has done just that breaking record after record.

Whoever Red Bull agree with for the 2nd driver position for next season I hope that the other teams can manage to catch up with Red Bull. Maybe even after many years we won't forget this season in which Verstappen has broken records. However as long as there is no rivalry it is really not enjoyable to watch races. I was expecting especially Mercedes to be much better this year. The last 2-3 years must have been a really big disappointment for Hamilton.

Leclerc is talking for extending his contract.
Also the only way that he will end in RBR is that Max will leave.
