We are getting very close to the end of the season day by day. When it comes to the pool I can see that there is still a fierce competition for the championship as well. I wish I was also a part of it but I couldn't have a good run at the beginning and now it is too late.  Sad  If my podium came true in Las Vegas Grand Prix it would have really been helpful for me to rise quite much.

Anyways returning to the final race of the season on Abu Dhabi track we could still watch another enjoyable race. For example there is an amazing competition for 2nd place in constructor standings. Ferrari have closed up the gap with Mercedes a lot after Las Vegas and it is only 4 points now. I would expect all the drivers of these teams to do their best for finishing ahead.

By the way I would like to thank jeremypwr as well who was quite helpful for me to organize this pool. If it weren't for him I wouldn't have really been able to organize this work. I hope that you have also enjoyed this season. I think that we would be able to maintain this pool next season as well. However it is very early to talk about this.

There is only 1 race left for the season to be completed. I would like to thank Sportsbet.io and Steve once again who sponsored the pool this season as well just as they did last season. I want to send the prizes of the people who earn the right to take a prize very quickly. Therefore you can send your Bitcoin addresses to the topic or you can PM me.

I think I will once again finish in the prize spots but I really hope to conserve that 5th place as a minimum as I am already ahead 2.5 points from 6th place and 2.5 points is a lot to lose here if we take into account that most people will pick the same drivers for the top ten,I personally am going for the top 10 I have usually placed most of the races in this final race also, the others below me need to make alternative predictions if they want to by pass me and also 4th and 3rd which are just 1 point more than me,so I will play it safe for the next weekend and hope for the best.

One final race. I feel like only a miracle will prevent our current leader from winning this pool!

agree, but it is well deserved after all
changed my picks after qualifications, to remove Norris from podium, but in the end, had two picks on podium, as prior to changes
just those were Max and Perez, and now Max and Leclerc

but closing out a season where I have spent most time on position 15, and will finish around there as well
will try better next season, and try to visit one race as well, seems as a good plan

Well, what do you know? Another prediction win, and if I recall, won the last one also by going against Max in almost everything, even in small winning margins. Now I just got to put that freebet on something special, to make up for slipping down to 7th place.

Superbru is annoyingly slow to update so I don't know if Vegas cost me my 6th spot... really not fun to wait haha.

Oh...  I won at Belgium GP?  Is that in Superbru or the prediction contests in Games and Rounds?  I don't seem to remember winning or somebody telling me that I won.  Cheesy Cheesy  Still good to know tho.  I should've put more effort in this pool tbh.  It's just the paticipants are really good and it made me lose hope after 5 races or so.

Maybe he had a safe gap with Perez and Leclerc after a point. But this must be one of the most challenging races for him during the season surely.  Grin  Because Leclerc was really advantageous against him until some point. But the latest SC changed things in favour of Red Bull team. Once Verstappen found a good racing tempo it was over already.

But I wish that Perez was able defend his place in last lap. I was even shocked when he literally just let Leclerc dive in and take the place back from him.  Shocked

Perez just needed to have the turn from the inside to leave Leclerc the outside there. In the end just after that turn the finish line was pretty close. If the podium was exactly like Verstappen - Perez - Leclerc it was going to bring me very valuable extra 3 points in the pool.

It was challenging for sure with the medium compound.
But when they changed to the hard compound there was no challenge at all.

The hard compound is the perfect type of tyre for Red Bull, and if they push at 100% the others can't just compete.

Without the safety car, it was a different story also, cause Max got older tyres but this is another story.

Track seems to be similar like Monza, where Ferrari has been very strong as well. Long straights and a few chicanes seem to be profitable for Ferrari and also cold temperatures, where Ferrari can heat up tires very quickly. It remains to be seen how Ferrari will do in tire degradation, of course. Sain was quick as well and probably he can even get on podium, should he be able to get past the cars in front of him quickly.
Biggest negative surprise was McLaren. Both cars were stuck in Q1 and I'm not sure if McLaren is really competitive here in the race because qualifying was awful.

As you predicted, Norris bombed, struggling McLaren only caught the final points spot -- didn't watch so don't know how Piastri actually managed fastest lap and end up so badly...
Surprisingly, McLaren did very well in the race. Piastri was in 4th or 5th spot with 7 laps left, when he had to pit because he still needed to have a stint on Medium tyres (two tyre componds are mandatory, as usual) and McLaren screwed up the strategy / got caught by a bad timed Safety Car. Otherwise, Piastri would have scored nice points.
And that's also why Piastri did fastest lap: he had fresh Medium tyres in the end.
Lando crashed out in the early laps and could have scored some good points in my opinion as well.

Another easy win for Max.

The record he is doing this year about the wins for a single season it will be never beaten imho

Indeed. Very hard to beat that record in near time future but maybe in some decades , we will witness another run like this. There is also the record of Redbull of 20 winning races during one season and I also think this one will be hard to beat as well... .

Overall , a great race today but I would have loved to see Ferrari taking this one Sad.
The vegas win has been the subject of a benchmark race. Coming from behind to win despite a five-second penalty, making those pre and post-match statements is not an easy situation to see. He may not leave unbroken statistics at the end of his career. But I don't know if he can win as much love as Michael Schumacher. Hamilton couldn't do it and neither could Alanso. We'll watch and see. He really drives incredibly well, it is a pleasure to watch him drive. Apart from that, the only thing the guy wants is a properly raced f1 rather than a show, and he constantly criticises the f1 management openly by using the power of the championship.

Schumacher has been loved only by Ferrari fans and never by any other fans,so he was racing against no body and even his team mate was not a driver who could pick up or fight against him, kinda like Perez nowadays so I didn't love him then because he was only winning thanks to his car, kinda like Verstappen. However I would vote more for Verstappen although I am not his fan either and only have been a fan of Hamilton for as long as he drove for McLaren,Verstappen drives better and does better records no matter Safety Cars or other obstacles to his races, something Schumacher had never need to fight against as all F1 paddock was pro him at that time.

In any case, I was lucky once at Superbru and put Leclerc on pole position, it will be interesting to see if he can do the same in the race, Max will certainly try to win the first race in Las Vegas.

That was inspired, really. I did rather poorly, 11.5 points when MoSala's got 16, so I'll feel like it's a hard line to see now with one final race to go. Superbru is annoyingly slow to update so I don't know if Vegas cost me my 6th spot... really not fun to wait haha.

I also doubt it will ever be beaten, even if he does not win the last race this very next weekend in Abu Dhabi the fact that he already has won 18 races out of 23 it is a super huge achievement for him personally and also for Redbull who have already won 20 races in this season, another record which most likely won't be beaten easily if it will be beaten at all.

This race though which I didn't watch as I was heavily sleeping in 7 AM  Grin today was beautiful as I was watching the highlights and I missed a lot of action.I will make sure I will not forget to watch the next race which I usually never miss at Abu Dhabi.
