So if you guys remember, I bet on Germany outright promo, and lost my $100 in mbtc lol
But they won the final game, so I got my freechip on Bombay Live. I never played Bombay actually until promos, with regular money I always go for the OneTouch or Evo which are usually what the promos are on with Southampton and Arsenal roulette.
I always put all in on zero and never won a freechip yet!
But this just happened... I made a slight mistake. I put the chip on 0/2/3 and it was too late to remove the chip. It lands on 2, and manager had to come to the table because the ball was slightly stuck on the border, lol. But after 2 mins, they confirmed it was 2, and I won back more than the Germany stake. This is what I call luck, thank you Sportsbet

Holy heck, what a struck of luck. Germany only won once as well but you managed to get alot from a single free chips. I had mine on France but lost both of them in BJ, I should have gone for Roulette as well I guess lol. No matter which teams you bet your outright on there isnt a single team that won three times on group stage which is pretty lame
know that story and I disagree with you on that particular one : that guy who sold everything he had to bet all on red ( and luckily won) had organized a a good media coverage on social media, documenting and filming the whole story and the journey to the casino and am quite confident that if he had lost that bet the would still have had a return of popularity that he could have monetized someway.
So yes I still think he had a bigger strategy in play beside the mainbed bet.

I have done this before by the way, back in the day I put all of my bitcoin into dice and lost it, and I wasn't even popular, I just didn't realize the potential of bitcoin and acted as if that was play money when in fact bitcoin was something that had such a huge potential and that is why it was a big mistake.

I had 2 bets with Serbia winning the game which I lost after I had reasons to believe at 2-1 Serbia will close the game but it didn't happen and the 2nd one that I won with Serbia scoring 2 goals in first half but overall not a great day for me either.

ops I lost the bet today after many long bets . My prediction did not work correctly today . South Korea played an incredible game today. They beat Portugal by scoring a goal at 90.1' Even though the bet was a small amount, the losing hurt me a bit. But the amount of enjoyment I got from watching the game. The pain of losing a bet is much smaller than that lol

Japan made it to the round of 16 due to a mix of skill and luck which is why expecting them to win the cup just because they qualified for the next round is silly.Also, don't forget the fact that they lost against Costa Rica who weren't exactly in their best form. @Steve this is what I was discussing with my friends after I told them that a gambler actually wagered on Japan to win the World Cup, and initially we all roasted the gambler but when Japan qualified we all were shell shocked. Furthermore what happens if he’s actually right, because this will be one of the biggest upsets in modern day football but till Brazil is there I’m yet not picking anyone else to win this tournament.

I tend to assume they overall will have a gain whatever will be the outcome of the event they are betting on because me, as a average Joe, can't really believe someone is really bearing the risk of losing those amounts of money.
Some people are willing to risk huge amounts through the yolo strategy to win big which is why the whale who placed this bet probably didn't use any strategy. I bet on Portugal before seeing your post, but normally betting with high odds on something that's unlikely to happen is what I like to do, because it's more fun imo, and so I sincerely wish you to win this one. Dude, that was unreal; there was a half a million dollar risked on that bet and we are talking about another half a million dollars was the reward give or take, that is not something common we could ever see. I am guessing that anyone who has enough money to wager half a million dollars on a single ticket doesn't really celebrate the win the way we would.
These kind of big bets are pretty common during such big tournaments in Sportsbet. For example, I observed someone placing a similar bet during the England vs Italy final sometime back which they ended up losing.What actually matters is the overall profit/loss after considering all the bets that he/she placed until that point basically.
I hope that people would realize that it's not going to be that much of a shock to keep this up, because 500k is something we will continue to see. However, world cup definitely gets compact betting, because there are normally 5+ leagues with a dozen game or more each, here it's just one tournament.
