Starting the week off with a wrong foot, I had Celta Vigo to win 2 - 1 in the pool, but Villarreal continued their win today by a huge 4 goals victory against Celta who were the home team, at worse my prediction would have been a draw.
It's something unexpected, especially such high score. I had draw on this game, but if I would know that Aspas won't play, I would had taken Villarreal to win 2:1. Next time it would be good to check squad list before making predictions.
There is some good games on Saturday. Good chance to get a lot of points, or fail completely.

^ Hey, you did want him so badly, made him yearn for you, and not the only start you enticed, so now you pay the price =p. So strange that Barca's probably relieved Coutinho's injured long term so he may actually NOT play the 10 more games he needs to before the 20 million bonus comes to Liverpool. But seriously, I feel bad about all this deals and contracts. But it can all be blamed on Neymar and PSG. Set every club on the way to financial ruin through overinflated prices.

Aaah yeah I know, every time we've made a buy the last seasons or two ago I wondered what's on our board's mind. To me it still feels like yesterday when we had the awesome Neymar, Messi and Suarez trio and the most feared attacking force on the planet. Those were wonderful days and we had a chance to strengthen ourselves, instead we went for silly buys (Griezmann and Coutinho were just bad bad ideas). Anyway, what can I say, as a fan, we have no control over what the bosses decide:(

I doubt if Barca going to get any high profile player in 1 to 1 exchange for Griezmann. He is playing like an average middle-rank team player. Except that laser beam goal against Osasuna, I can't even think of any of his highlight moment so far this season. If we just consider current season and forget who Griezmann was before that then I won't value him more than $10-15M. No sharpness in game, no sprints, no aggressiveness, he's pretty average Joe right now. I think it would be bad move for Barca too to let him go cheap in current window. They should let him find his feet and get a striker in exchange for him in summer window.

One player that I think Barca would have off-loaded in winter window if not for injury is Coutinho. If I read it correctly then Barca have to pay €20M more to Liverpool if Coutinho plays 100 games at Barcelona. He's already at 90. With Pedri as the regular starter, Coutinho would have been a good option for Barca to get their pocket recovered in pandemic.

Bale back to Real, o man! Zidane once again gonna have sleepless nights.  Cheesy

Not at the stage they're at now for sure, yeah. They might get young players who want to try be part of the new future, but I don't think established stars will want to be part of the chaos right now at my beloved club.

I won't even talk about Griezmann... or Coutinho and the free money we keep throwing at Liverpool:(

By the way, anyone expecting major Laliga transfer-in or transfer-out in the current winter transfer window? What's the buzz around?
I am expecting quiet transfer window. Most teams are doing very bad financially due to covid crises. Real is maybe one exception but I believe they will wait for summer transfer window and they can't be happy about rumors that Spurs are returning Bale.

We will probably see some cheap transfers to mend the holes in squads. Maybe some older players which still have a half a season or season and half to give on top level. Other than that there could be some player exchanges. I would not be surprised if Barca does some high profile exchange including Griezmann.

@casperBGD, despite that Valencia doeesn't looks good so far, I still think it's unlikely that they can relegate to Segunda. In upcoming few weeks they will face their direct competitors, so they will have chance to improve their situation.

this against Cadiz was actually one of those against direct rivals for relegation
it is not that bad as it seems when I look on the table, but relegation is an option now, hopefully the team will hold their horses and pull out some good matches and points that will leave them in La Liga, but last night was not looking bright, must say that

it was a tough period with a lot of matches in few weeks, now there is a few days break, so they can think about it, and look better on the weekend

strange season, must say that, and Atletico is looking close to win a strange title

^ See, we were all right to not back Valencia in betting. Can't even get a win at home against Cadiz (but to be fair neither could Barca so I won't say anything hahah).

I think it's really time to just back Atletico, Real and Villareal, Celta Vigo if talking about ML. Definite to win more than lose like this.

I just can't believe Valencia can go in lower league, and I am not sure what happened with them this year but they are very unpredictable.
It is not safe to bet on them anytime, but how much times can Cadiz really win away from home with their below average team and?
Both teams have some injured players but h2h previous matches are on Valencia side and I think they can get narrow win here.
Wake up Valenica!
Valencia weren't good already last season and now they are even worse. Well, their squad isn't very impressive, but not such bad to be in relegation zone. They are very inconsistent and I awoid betting on them for long time already. They had few decent games - win against Real and Real Sociedad, draw with Barca, but at the same time they can't beat bottom table teams. And I think their problems is more deep than just sauad or manager, it's more about their owner Peter Lim.

By the way, anyone expecting major Laliga transfer-in or transfer-out in the current winter transfer window? What's the buzz around?
About transfers, usually winter window is quite calm in Spain. And this year probably won't be exception, considering pandemic situation and financial problems of clubs.

It is a great game for Valencia to come back on winning ways.

yeah, their performance is not that bad, as the results
it is not worth CL participant from last year, but it is not for relegation either, they actually had some good moments against Granada, but did not convert those into goals, and Granada scored easily, maybe it is because of goalkeeper, but Jaime is also a good one, so Jasper missing should not be felt that much

nevertheless, hope that I will not have to watch Segunda next year, and that they will stay within La Liga, it would be a shame to see relegation happening, but if they do not win tonight, it is an option certainly
Cadiz had some good wins away in the beginning of the season, but they are out of touch lately

really hoping for Valencia win tonight, what was a "not that good season" in the beginning, is now a worst season in a while, and "relegation is an option here" to quote famous Elon Musk statement "failure is always an option"
Cadiz last won was over Barcelona, and Valencia last win was over Real Madrid, and all the beautiful draw-lose matches afterwards (Copa del Rey excluded)

however, never betting on teams that support, so will not put Valencia on a betting ticket, but win is there in the pool

It is a great game for Valencia to come back on winning ways. Although, I haven't seen recent Valencia games (except one against Barca) but I am following Cadiz games and they are looking way off in those. I'm predicting a comfortable win for Valencia (most prolly 2-0). Valencia 1x2 win has good 2.05x odds, I have added this one in parlay tonight.

Killed me too, and if I remember correctly, it has caused at least 2 or 3 multi magics to fail (the promotion from Sportsbet). It's okay to lose sometimes, but to actually be in a leading position and DRAW feels much much worse.

Valencia and Sociedad now only worth betting with handicap it seems.

Don't feel TOO bad though, you actually won the yellow cap and climbed back up from bottom to... one below me haha;)

Still plenty of time left in the season too, just keep doing what's right, and then a couple more yellow caps to boost your position and maybe we see again when 2/3 of campaign is left.

If Sociedad does not manage to win today I am putting them on my black list with Valencia. Every time I bet on them they play 1:1 draw and when I play both to score like in their last game against Bilbao then they manage to win. They still have 15 minutes to score another goal and save themselves from entering my blacklist.

Did not watch Real game yesterday but I think Celta gave up as soon as they conceded second goal. Otherwise Aspas would have played more minutes.

Real's odds are inching higher for the past 2 nights, probably should have taken a Celta Vigo bet BEFORE the Elche draw, but with a nice boost, it's still possible to bet 6/1. Iago Aspas can't be stopped, maybe a goal and an assist against the mighty Real tonight, what do you think guys?

Atletico certainly praying that'll happen!
I would pray for it as well if I thought it would help Smiley I have both to score on that game and missing only that to get my insurance free bet back and on another ticket which I just played.

As you said Aspas is a great player and he is currently in form, Real has never been a club that was specially tight at the back and Celta should be able to score at least one goal. Real is also always capable of scoring at least one goal, especially on home turf so this odds of 1.75 seem like big value to me.

Real Madrid success win with score 2-0 and I think good match from Celta Vigo because they have many big chance just brilliant saving from Thibaut Courtois as Real Madrid goal keeper and make clean sheet again for his playing last night. I think man of the match last night is Marco Asensio because he created assist and make scoring goal, just beginning from Real Madrid always win after last match just draw and get good position for Madrid close with Atletico Madrid still on the first standing right now, last hour win again with score 1-2 from Alaves.

I ended up using Celta ML as a hedge in case I lost my insured 5-leg (our favourite SB promo huh) but happy to report I hit my first 5-leg of the new year, pretty decent hit too;) Seems to be consistently good value also to bet against relegation candidates ATM.

Draws, rather than upsets, ruining some of my other bets in La Liga (looking at you sevilla) but otherwise, all good.

Loads and loads of disappointment for me for following some tips against Real Madrid;) But that's okay. At least now the bookies will again adjust the odds for them, making their next few matches probably worth to bet against?

Feeling really sorry for my position in Superbru. I might just start following expert picks at this rate.
