What was the prize again for the worst performance in a round ? Can't seem to find that information in first post Grin jk

Well the prize is you get a nice wooden spoon icon next to your name in Superbru Smiley

If we were sitting on much bigger sponsor funds and privacy wasn't such a big deal in this crypto space I would actually run the pool with yellow caps and spoons sent to participants on weekly basis. Engraved with something appropriate. Sadly, never gonna happen.

I am also doing quite bad so far but at least there is time to get better.

I saw both of you with zero point earlier in the evening, And I for a moment thought you by chance have forgotten to make your picks  Grin

The games in this round weren't easy to predict, but I am still sitting at zero points Tongue Kudos to hahay for getting 9pts already, thats quite impressive. LaLiga has always been a league I didn't find that interesting, but don't know why. I think there are a lot of boring games (apart from the obviously exciting ones in general, i.e. RM vs Barca) and the atmosphere in the stadiums is not catching me as well. But I also joined here to get some more knowledge about this league and seems there is a lot of work to be done in that department.

Damn you hahay, 3 whole points ahead of the whole pack. I picked quite a lot of nice ones but all 1.5 points and such a shame Sociedad couldn't find a way to win so I got 0 instead of 3 (picked 2-1). Late now so I have to go to bed and wake up with a nice surprise:P

I picked Barca to win by 2 goals just because.
but Barca is postponed, so i will skip it for this weekend bet
did not saw the new termin for this match, when it is scheduled, if we are speaking regarding first round Barcelona and Elche match

Like I said, just because. I've got no reason to change my pick whatever the first game. First friendly looked good shape everywhere to be fair!

I put the score 0-1 for the Cadiz CF vs Osasuna match and it looks like it still doesn't guarantee to get an exact score because there is still a second half where there might be another goal or this 0-1 score will last until the end of the match, because the two previous games were also there weren't many goals scored and apart from that, I'm not sure Cadiz CF will score a goal in this match.

I just had to send the BTC using high priority fees and the transaction has one confirmation already. I hope Trofo sees my PM before kick off  Cheesy

You are in now, you sure like to cut it close. Let me know what happened with the first match.

I think you could have picked the scores even before joining the pool and you would have points after joining. If you did not do that maybe you got a default score which is good as well. At worst you are one game behind but it should not matter much in the long run anyway. Especially since it is a tough one to predict.

Best of luck and glad you are with us.

I have been having trouble logging into my old superbru account, so I just decided to create a new one. I hope I am not late.
Somebody help me and  confirm, Is this the address to send funds to in order to join? 1Jz6CJsgZJNWDBjDEchpgbBhckTxsfA1Cg
@Trofo @tokeweed @Harkorede

Yup hurrryyy!  You got like a tad less than 15 mins before Eibar and Celta Vigo starts.  You can join the Italian pool too while you're at it if you want.  Grin

Yes, that's the correct address, and welcome on board  Cheesy

You need to be very fast with the transaction, though. There is barely an hour before the first game gets underways and hopefully Trofo would confirm and accept your application to meet the kick off.
Thanks.

still debating whether to include La Liga matches on my weekend bet slips or not, i might skip matchweek 1 and wait until the Big 4 return (barca, real, ateltico, sevilla)

Nothing stands out for me in this first match week games. If somebody made me to put money on something I would pick Villareal ML and Granada - Atletic under 2.5 goals. Those look like realistic choices but I will probably skip betting on La Liga at the beginning and wait to see the form of the teams before putting out big money on them.

Neither for me. I picked Barca to win by 2 goals just because. I know we probably won't have Suarez by then but that just means we'll probably be playing Griezmann together with Coutinho and that sounds pretty fierce on its own.

Granada to win + Valencia + Villareal also sound like an "easy" 10x but nothing goes as predicted at these stages usually.

yeah, one should wait few rounds to see how the things are going to roll-out in this "no audience" situation

agree on Granada, but think that Villareal could be a goals match, from my point of view for under goals is better Cadiz, or to put it in a perspective i do not expect 2-3 goals in Cadiz, will be either zero or one, or will be much more (i expect the first outcome without goals or one as a decision maker)

Club like Arsenal benefits from no crowds (no home pressure and they're mentally very affected by boos).
this made me laugh way more than it should lol 😂 🤣

I feel bad every time I say shit that's bad but true about them (with all due respect) and Spurs (sorry Gooners and Spurs bois).

nothing too crazy, a 3-0 for Villareal and a 2-2 between Alaves and Betis, rest of the games are mostly under 2.5 goals, although the Valencian derby (valencia-levante) could be a high scoring match, 4 out of their last 5 meetings ended with at least 4 goals

That's pretty crazy IMO but yeah, who knows? Opening day adrenaline. I'm also considering keeping my parlays this weekend to just Prem League and maybe Championship ones.

I lost a big parlay 2 days ago on Norwich/City Academies in EFL, it was 18/1 on their own but I HAD to go and pad it up with England haha. Their academies were so sprightly I wonder if their senior team is even fresher.

I bet if I spent more time watching La Liga my betting would grow exponentially (worrying!).

Yeah I actually think the no crowd thing works for clubs who play differently under pressure, and for clubs who feed off their supporters. So in general the big clubs actually lose out because they have a mentality that plays well at home, and plays better when the crowd is booing them.

So for now, I'm betting purely on how they performed towards the end of last season without crowds. Anyone go for big scores this Week 1?

Yeah, I've done all my picks for all my pools, based on a rather vague memory of what the teams were able to do last season <...>
i was going to do this but the 'no crowd in stadiums' guideline is gonna give us a lot of surprises even in Matchweek 1...that plus the fact that some teams had key transfers (in/outs) in the squad like Valencia, Betis, Villareal, etc makes me wonder just how different they'll perform this season.

talking about squads, if anyone wants to check the latest player transfers, here's a link from Marca, it's in spanish but it's kinda intuitive

yeah, i expect a lot of surprises during the first match-week's, since it is not same to play without audience, although clubs already played at the end of last season, so they used to it, at least a bit

as well, think that this season could be really boring regarding champion title race, since Real is really in front to take it, but will be interesting to see where Barcelona will end up, i could not see it on spot 2, think that will be lower - third or even fourth

Yeah, I've done all my picks for all my pools, based on a rather vague memory of what the teams were able to do last season -- I think nothing counts in a new season though so I will definitely look at how teams play in Week 1 to make further picks! I'm sticking to mainly favourites thouh;)

Granada tempting to pick for early season strength based on how they played early last season and post-lockdown.

Guys I'm a bit sad to say that I won't be able to join La liga pool on Superbru as I simpl realised I won't have enough time to watch all that games and track what is going on there so I had to choose one.

I chose Seria A and I have joined that pool instead, good luck to you all in this one though Cheesy

Ah, no worries my friend. See you in the other pool then =D
