Liverpool VAR no-goal, I didn't feel was harsh, just unfortunate, and I find it acceptable. Probably the right call, I'd hope it goes our way next time.

Moot, since we won. It was not comfortable though, even if I have to say I can't recall a single time we had a proper threat on our goal.

Spurs and Newcastle the teams we need to catch up with though. Let's see if we got the blood for it.

Do agree with Welsh: it's a good time to start putting on the cream on Liverpool, now that people forgot how good we can be. Bajcetic is incredible, I know he gives away attacks but we need that kind of forward-thinking midfield. I have to remind myself often I didn't rate his debut. It is definitely going to be a problem to replace Hendo. Thiago is a Fabinho. Need them fit and on form, but they need someone more reliable and energetic. Can't say we have a solution easy, so we may need to dig deep into Academy again... I feel like Fabinho if we can get him out of his funk, fully fit again, we'll be okay.

Man I still miss Gini.

Finally a decent game from LFC. We looked good throughout most of the game and got an important win after all. The first goal should not have been disallowed as well.
I'm not sure what to think about the first goal being disallowed. At the end of the day, Jota did catch him with the stretched out leg, but my argument is he was pushed into that, and surely they should be looking at the push that caused him to go flying into the defender?

Jota made the difference though, even for the second goal. It's good to have him back, a real work horse, and I think him, Salah, Diaz, and Nunez when they're all fit, and firing will be quite scary. The only problem is fitting them all in. Midfield needs sorting out, probably a complete overhaul. Defense I feel like we're probably one player from being solid again, and possibly a backup for Trent.

We definitely aren't a million miles away from being the one's to talk about again, as long as they approach this summer the right way.
Midfield is the biggest problem for Liverpool, rest of the squad is already good enough or very close to it. The way Klopp plays with very attacking full backs you need midfilders that are creative and at the same time able to close the holes behind Trent and Robbo. Not an easy task and players like that are very rare, you can't exactly buy young Modrić or player like Verrati whenever you wish. And you need at least two players with that characteristics.

Liverpool are clearing up their injury list though, and like I said having Jota back is massive. He made the difference in that game against Wolves. If you want to make some good bets, you'll have to time it just right, because Liverpool won't be down for too long, when their players are back, and they've settled in I expect them to finish the season strong again. Obviously, barring any other injuries that could occur.

Konate, Jota, VVD, and Diaz coming back soon, that's already some top class players that will make the difference. I imagine Diaz will be ready towards the end of March. However, the others have already started to settle back in after their injuries. I think some might have forgotten just how good Liverpool are, and the major issues they've had this season is mainly due to injuries, and a aging midfield. Get that sorted, and they're right back in it.

The only thing is that Wolves team is so bad that I can't draw any conclusions from the win. It is possible that we simply looked good because they are horrible.

I guess we'll see soon enough, we've got United on Sunday.

At first I also said it should be not disallowed but after seeing the VAR several times as I was watching the game live,I can conclude that for one of the few times in history the referee made the right decision to void the goal,it was a clear foul as Jota intentionally hit the defender with this foot.

Nevertheless we are now ready to beat Manchester United and I think we are more favored than them to win as we are mostly out of the Champions League while Manchester is looking in great shape there and most probably they may sacrifice a Premier League game to go further there.

Agree. Just saw it too and it was a soft foul, tangle of legs BUT the defender would have cleared it for sure if he did not get into the tangle.

Good VAR call for once, and it allowed the game to flow well anyway so good game.

Wolves may have been terrible but this was at least better than getting beaten 3-0 by them not long ago Smiley

I still don't feel safe betting on Liverpool anymore though I can say the same about every team except Arsenal now Wink

I am just thankful for the points, the Top 10 is going away from me lol

Indeed, Liverpool has been sleeping for a while this season, it is no longer a competitor for the league title, but it can advance in the ranking ladder to get the opportunity to participate in the European CL. While Manchester United have also found their usual form this season by being in the top three on the board. I don't think they will let the fierce competitor Liverpool beat them, the result of a draw will be more like a win for Liverpool Angry

Liverpool actually won, who would've thought. I thought the ref was absolutely terrible, almost criminal at times. However, the game wasn't exactly brilliant, but it does remind me that when we've got our team back, we're capable of winning games despite it not being our best performance. We've missed Jota so much, and obviously Darwin has been a real star for us recently. I'm still quite hopeful for next season as long as we make the right signings. Midfield definitely needs sorting out, as it was pretty evident again in this game.

I won a great bet on Liverpool and Arsenal yesterday night and in the pool I also enjoyed a correct score from Liverpool.I knew that it was about time for Liverpool to win in front of their home fans and my bets were somewhat risky as I used bet builder and placed on both games, the teams to win, over 1.5 goals and both halves under 1.5 goals no.

I also needed these 4 points in the pool yesterday to get back into a winning prize spot again after missing it for more than 4 weeks.

I also think in the same way, but we can already see a tought match between them, because the new Everton manager can develop a very fierce defense, and if Arsenal not make a fast goal things can go up hill for the Arteta boys, and now  they have much much pressute behind made it by Man city.
Arsenal back on top with great performance, again a team effort where all players contribute a lot to the final result. Liverpool had much tougher test but they deserved their win and what is more important they got me full 3 points after bunch of bad pool results for me.

United turned around the cup game after bringing on Rashford. No Rashford, no party in red part of Manchester.

While Spurs managed to loose against Sheffield, seems like Chelsea is the only team bad enough to lose against this Spurs side.

Harry Potter (New name) is out of his depth and has nothing left for him; he has no justification for leaving Abu and Chukwuemeka out of the team; he is blessed with some of the best young players in the world right now and has little to show for it. ETH didn't have much when he took over Manchester United deadwoods, and we can already see what he has done so far, winning them their first trophy in 7 years is something remarkable, a good coach doesn't always need 2-3 seasons to build a team.

There is nothing Harry Potter can do at this point; he must leave.

he is the smallest mistake there. a bunch of overpaid players who he didn't ask for and who have to play because they were paid dearly. also an unbalanced team, players bought it only because of the sound of their names. if Chelsea fires him, I don't know which manager who has at least a little credibility and dignity will accept that job. very bad behaviour towards managers, regardless of what kind of results and success they brought them.

if you are talking about Man Utd, just remember last season and compare the level of games of most of the players. and also look when the manager buys players (Weghorst for example) he thinks he needs, no matter how cheap they are. and look at the result.

If you believe Harry Potter was unaware of those players or did not want any of them, you have no idea who the chief recruiter at Chelsea is- Harry fucking Potter leads everything that has to do with players in and out. The Chelsea job is one of the most difficult in the world; you are under pressure to deliver from the moment you are appointed manager. The fans want to see immediate results, which has aided us over the years; this was a huge step for Potter and his immersion in it.

The Chelsea job will always attract quality managers, and there are quality managers waiting for Potter to be fired right now.

There is nothing Harry Potter can do at this point; he must leave.

I agree he's been out of his depth so far, but I also feel that this team is unmanageable. I really don't think that any coach would be able to work in a situation like this.

He really needs to have better results soon - but Chelsea is trying out something really dangerous here and whoever they go for next will have his hands full.

The team is manageable- Harry fcking Potter lacks the balls to make decisions.

Arsenal vs Everton tonight, hopefully Arteta’s machine keeps rolling. I don’t see Everton putting up much of a fight if I’m honest. They’ve been terrible all season which leads us to Liverpool vs Wolves. LFC have been really bad, hopefully we can somehow get a win but I am far from confident.

well, it seems like that on first look
but both favorites have recent memories on away matches where they lost to today's opponents

not so long ago, Everton won over Arsenal at home, it was a first match for new coach, and Sean Dyche has really good result against Arsenal (one lost match in six matches, coaching relegation fighters all along), if Arsenal win, this would be first to get 100 wins over opponent team in England
while Liverpool was a bit humiliated few rounds ago, 3:0 against Wolves
I am thinking it is revenge day today, at least for Arsenal. That first game for Everton was good but they weren't impressive after that. Now Arsenal knows what to expect, game is at Emirates and they have more than enough quality to to continue winning.

I am not so sure about Liverpool since they really aren't anywhere close to the form they had in past seasons but Wolves aren't anything special as well and this game should be winnable. I am thinking I will watch Arsenal, should be a cleaner game tactically.

Last time we played Wolves I called them offensively the worst team in the league and was confident in our win. They hammered us 3-0 in what was one of the worst LFC performances I have ever seen.

Let's see how we set up today, we were bad against Palace and there aren't many chances left to save our season. We need a winning streak and we need it now.

The odds are attractive but that's because we're a crappy cointoss team at the moment. I'll still probably bet on us, but last season these odds would have been 1.15 or less.

For me tonight it will be one of the rare cases in the Premier League where both favorites will win their game and I would go further than that, they most likely will both have a clean sheet during such games.I don't see Wolves putting a big fight either against Liverpool despite their somewhat good results recently,Liverpool need to win at all cost before their fans after they screwed up really bad in Champions League against Real Madrid and they were even leading 2-0 in that game.I am sure the fans wait a big answer from them tonight and as such the odd of 1.50 is a very good one for Liverpool to be placing our bets on.

Yeah, we've been the worst bed-shitters this season. Only Chelsea is doing spectacularly badly that we are just a notch above them. I think about at least 2 wins this season where we didn't really need to do much. The recent Newcastle gifting us 2 goals was one, but the Leicester 2 own goals too... without those 6 points, we're flirting with the bottom half, below Chelsea.

Really want Arsenal to win this too.
