Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
Was out (am still out but en route to a tv) and was able to check around 10 mins left to see it was 2-2. Thought that was it. A bit unlike Arsenal to fire home late goals so emphatically (or was one an own goal or something) but damn, that was close.
Arsenal are doing pretty good in this season. The team is positive but in the last match against City they did not seem much in the match. I was expecting them to win against City.

Finally, I decided to go against Liverpool and there we go. It's a good win. I should continue doing the same and let us win?

Not sure what to make of it as I watched first half
I did not bother to watch the match. Saw the result on flashscores because I was just curious to check the score.

Massive day so far in the PL, Arsenal with a dramatic winner and City dropping points at lowly Notts Forest.

Just sitting down with an alcoholic beverage to watch my beloved LFC. Hoping for but not expecting a win.

Not sure what to make of it as I watched first half, missed whole of second half except last few minutes, enough to see Milner make two super tackles and Jota almost heading to Bobby to goal... 2-0, so fast, could have been another day at office if Nunez/Gakpo missed those, but Pope sending himself off sort of guaranteed either side would not get a goal.

If Newcastle end this season on a high, let it be reminded it was only us who did the double on them haha.

-snip

Next is City to respond, and to give some weird context of what bookies are rating them, Forest are ONLY below 9/1 to win. Southampton away to Chelsea are less likely to win according to odds...

Pep is a character, looking at their play I cannot decide are they just having fun, or want to get this title

nevertheless, Everton took important points at home, clean sheet is a standard at home since Dyche came, and we are scoring that one that brings three pointers, by defenders

Dyche started an investigation into DCL car seat and matress, to find a reason for injuries Smiley

I tuned in on the last 10 minutes of that, enough to see Chris Wood tap in. 1 shot, 1 goal, it was a familiar story for us... saw that Pep got a card, can't find out how yet, should be funny.

That... is so Dyche. He did use to joke with press a bit, didn't he?

O most all favorites dropping points and this really hurts honestly. Another round for me another bad round and i keep going down on the table and things for me arent looking good at all. Always close to correct scores but it just dosent happen and i end up with zero points

You are not alone,I think I have got exactly 0 points so far or at best 1.5 if I put an Everton win as I don't remember that well,in fact I should have used the promo from Stake to use Everton Clean Sheet and that would have give me enough money to cover all my loses which had all but one reason that f*cking City team which I can't wait now for them to get the hell out of the title fight, they absolutely don't deserve it this year.

So in the pool I think only some crazy one who have gone and placed everything against the favorites, that guy should have climbed places in a scary manner,in fact if someone had done it they would get like at least 10-20 places climb because of that but I don't see anyone who has just done that. Now that I see the standings though,I have not lost any position which is strange enough and it just confirms that anyone else have just screwed up.

Dont like what am seeing, here I was thinking Arsenal would come out guns blazing after that hard-fought battle against Mancher city that saw them drop 3 whole points, and now traveling to Villa Park they are already chasing the game  Huh Another goal from Aston Villa that will be a the end for the Gunners!

Edit: Zinchenko gets one back and game is tied 2-2 and the 2nd half looks better for Arsenal hope i can get a point for the pool  Tongue

^ So right, individual errors gave City the win and you just can't do that. The first goal I actually missed, but the second one? Trying some fancy backpass with City players hovering around you on the edge of your box? That's irresponsible.
That game had Arsenal written all over it, they played better in all areas and possession showed their team effort but the pressure was too much from the citizens, guess they were overwhelmed with the fact of winning the premier league...next course of action push the premier league to dock city's points  Grin

Not confident about Liverpool's chances against Newcastle, that's for sure. So, I'm not expecting much from the game, although we've started to look a tad better recently, especially with some of our injured players coming back.
~

Same. It's hard to believe that Liverpool will inflict a second defeat on Newcastle of the season. On the other hand, it is unlikely that Newcastle will play a fourth draw in a row. There remains a victory for Newcastle, but this will mean a continuation and deepening of the collapse of Liverpool. All three options look very strange in fact and it is very difficult to choose the one that is worth betting on.

In such cases, it is often best to approach betting with caution and focus on the long-term strategy, rather than trying to predict individual games. This may involve setting a budget for betting and only wagering small amounts on individual matches, or considering alternative betting markets beyond the traditional match result market.

According to what I was told, no more double punishment for goalkeepers; it's either a penalty + yellow card or a penalty without booking. There is no need to send the goalkeeper off after awarding a penalty. It is always difficult to take City off the table, and Arsenal does not have enough depth to compete with City at this time.
I think it entirely depends on the offense. I'm not a fan of massively strict, set in stone rules that basically end up ruining th game. If a goalkeeper comes out, and purposely two foots you, that's dangerous play, and therefore should be a sending off. If he comes out, and just clips your heels on accident, sure just a penalty is fine. However, having these hard rules where one or the other, and not both it'll end up where players will start using that to benefit them. For example, I'd much rather a penalty than a player who's just got around me, and is going to shoot so I clip his ankles. That's just an example, where they've basically taken a definite goal, to a penalty shoot out. If he comes out, and two foots a player potentially injuring that player significantly, then that justifies more than a penalty in my eyes, since it's dangerous play.

Saka, Martinelli, and Ode need a break; they've been playing every fucking game since the beginning of the season, and they're already exhausted, which is affecting the team..

Of course, I'd agree they all need a break but that's the beauty and curse of the English Premier League, there are no easy fixtures and you just can't be allowed to breath when you have a team like Man City lurking around, all Arsenal built so far from the very first of the season is getting undone just in space of 3 bad games, some of which they could have won, but would you say resting those players then and all is working out well for City ? I think the biggest edge City have over their opponents is not just good coach in Guardiola, but a very decent squad depth. Regardless, I don't think needing rest would be enough excuse for Arsenal at this point, because I recall Arteta bringing in a bunch of guys to help reduce the work load on his players, perhaps they just weren't enough, but with we've witnessed Klopp and some other managers win the league with almost single starting XI all season long, or a very minimal rotation. I believe Saka's standards haven't dropped, but some players for have dipped mostly notably Martinelli, I guess there is no better time to have Gabriel Jesus back within their squad than now.

The first goal was far worse than the second- Takehiro Tomiyasu simply assisted KDB, and it was a huge mistake for him to try to pass back to the GK in that situation when you could simply kick it to trow in for safety. BTW, KDB's goal was outstanding; not every player can finish from that tight angle. Arsenal fans are already out of control; I saw them throwing bottles, weapons and cans at KDB when he was substituted. The fan base is a bunch of bad losers..  Grin

Also, something I kept asking myself: shouldn't Ederson have been sent off? He was on a yellow, and it was a foul for the penalty... surprised I didn't hear commentary about it. Seemed to me like the ref didn't want to kill the game but I thought, it had to be given.

My bet is on both to score but I feel like I should have gone for draw. Much bigger odds and we could see a bit more reserved performance tonight. Can't wait for the game to start, watching this one rather than Champions League and that is saying something.

in the end, it was BTTS and City win
didn't watch the match, but from I can read, as expected Arsenal was afraid to play and win this, and that is not the way how to win titles, but after this it could be said that Arsenal chances to win title diminishes, they are simply not up to the task, you need more stable performance, and winning strikes for that, can't see them doing that

Arsenal was on a winning row and the only way they were being backed up at the top as favorites was them winning games in the beginning of the Premier League while their adversaries were losing or drawing games, this made them to lead at a certain point with over 9 points in difference and they are now with equal points to Manchester City with just one game less. The mentality shown in yesterday game from them was miserable and that is not a team that could be a title winner in the end,I really hoped Arsenal could do this but most likely in the end it will be City a renowned Premier League Champion.

I put City on two of my tickets, suspecting that Arsenal would not deal with the Brentford VAR incident well and I feel like I was right. Arteta antics on the touchline... reminds me their discipline problem (and mentality) hasn't quite been put to bed yet. They need a reset of mindframe, no better time than next game at Villa.

I watched CL yesterday so didn't watch the full game (saw highlights today) and I have a feeling that Arsenal shot themselves in the legs here.
Too many cheap mistakes against the team who knows how to punish them - City was patient enough and even gave possession to Arsenal - knowing that will open gaps for them.

The title race is now fully open once again - and City have to be considered as favorites.

Arsenal lost this one with individual errors, Tomiyasu gifted the first goal and Gabriel gifted second one. You can't play like that against top teams. Than Nketiah topped it off with two big missed headers. Could have been so much better for gunners.

City on top of the table, but Arsenal with one game less. Can't get closer than this.

The problem now is how will Arsenal respond to this situation, I really don't Arsenal as team that will dwell under this kind pressure and the only advantage Arsenal have now is a game in hand, but the season is still pretty much long, and I really fair for the Gunners, but unfortunately for them it's not as though Arsenal are literally being just so shitty in these games, but a few of them feels like luck not just being on their side, Arsenal literally pressed Man City well enough to earn at least a draw, but they lacked the final 3rd brilliance like they have all season long, or is it just City's defense that is quite better tonight.

I'm sure I'm not the only one finally waking up from the Arsenal fairytale title chase dream ??

@ralle14: well done mate, getting to top 5 and jumping 7 places this week. Big G got it wrong on the last game, otherwise he would have won the golden cap this week alone
Thanks, happy to get my first official yellow cap as well(technically second but the previous one was fake).

I was expecting my draws to backfire but it somehow paid off and then that last minute prediction switch from Arsenal to City gave me enough push to tie for first.  Cheesy

Now the league is even more interesting with both these two teams getting like equal chances on winning this season. Aside from all allegations against City, they have real chance of winning again this season as Arsenal has alot on their plates right now and they have not been winning at all for the last 3 EPL games
