I completely agree with the consistency and yeah it's not easy. But it's still week 8 and anything could happen with just 10 points gap, it's not that wide. I just can't imagine if my predictions getting bad in upcoming weeks and somehow I even not in top 10 in the end of season. Winning the yellow cap at least once would reduce the pain.

Anyway, good job.
Thanks man.

Anyway Jayce is running away with it and establishing himself at the lead early in the season.  Good for him, bad for us.  Lol.  :/

Tbh it's quite ironic while Im on 1st position for the last few weeks but failed to win any single of weekly prize. So, Im not really happy with this lol. And the gap is already short week by week actually, wont be even surprised if this week someone replace my position.

It's not about getting the highest score at any given week imho.  It's about consistency of getting decent scores every week.  And you should def be happy as getting a wide gap early is key.  Your odds of winning obv gets better as the gap widens.

Anyway, good job.

I agree.Consistency is key,it is much better to be consistent at getting a certain amount of points every week which will most likely put you in a winning spot, why not the top one rather than being very aggressive and getting the highest score in a single round but doing not that well in other rounds, this second scenario is something that surely will put you in a not winning spot in the end of the season,so I would be very happy with consistency and not care that much about a yellow cap although it is nice every time we get one, however is much better when we keep staying in top spots because of our consistency.

Leicester found some more important chances too but Lloris was very successful with his saves. Congrats on your win by the way. I wouldn't be that brave to bet on both teams to score while Leicester are the poorest team of the league at the moment.  Grin
I don't think it was brave at all, Leicester is actually very good going forward, they scored 10 goals this season at that is the number that puts them very high up the table, that is more then Chelsea and united have scored. Their problem is their defense, by far the worst one in the league with 22 goals conceded in just 7 games.

So both to score actually almost a free money every game they play. I love teams like that and force that market all the time. I have the same bet on Brendford - Arsenal today and I expect fireworks here as well.

Actually you are right. I didn't even realize that they couldn't score any goal only against Manchester United so far. They even scored 2 goals in 4 league games. But they still collected only 1 point in 7 games. They really have huge issues with their defense as you said. They've lost Fofana to Chelsea. Caglar Soyuncu also hasn't been playing for a long time. Brendan Rodgers said that he was out-of-form in training for some time and that was the reason why. Unless they sign better centre-backs soon the rest of the season could continue like this.

It's a good bet on Brentford - Arsenal. I also believe that both teams will score and Arsenal might manage to win by a close goal difference. That's why I picked 2-1 Arsenal win in the pool also. I feel like Brentford will score first and we will watch Arsenal fighting hard for a comeback.  Smiley

Son put on a great show today by making a hat-trick in 14 minutes. He hasn't been scoring since July 13. This was his time to shine bright as it seems.  Smiley
Son just came on few minutes before scoring first goal. Too make it even better his first two goals were real class. Both in the top corner from outside the box, one with right foot, other with left foot. If you did not see them, look them up, they are worth it.

Really glad for him as well, there was a lot of talk about his crises and poor performances, he even started to loose his first team position in Spurs. I expected Leicester to concede several times but 6 goals was a bit outside my expectations. At least my both to score bet passed super easy Smiley

Yeah I've seen all of his goals in this game. His first two goals were really amazing. It was the best way of making up for his bad form. Son is still a very important part of Tottenham. When he plays well the team have a really good day at the same time. Tottenham needed this kind of a solid victory after the disappointing Sporting loss in the Champions League. I don't know why but they can't reflect the same effort on the CL.

I've always said it, but Son is massively underrated. I'd love him at Liverpool, and I feel he does get overshadowed by Kane, despite myself personally finding Son the better player by quite a margin. I know we'll never get him, but he's a massive player for that Spurs team. Even when he isn't scoring, he does a bloody good job to be the engine in that team.

When he does move on from Spurs I'm not convinced they'll be able to replace him, at least easily.

Yeah, I recall talking about him in seasons past, but there seem to be people who really don't rate him at all, for some reason. Kane also gets the MVP tag (not for bad reasons) but Son's the complete package... work rate, never questionable, he's the last guy I blame if Spurs loses, effort is always there. Mentality too, Kane way too often looks jaded, distracted, down... Son is fire, hunger, never mind much more skillful.

I think it's a crazy season (upon crazy seasons) of players being asked to play without break. So we've got so many classy players... Salah, Son just come to mind, who have not reached impossible standards set by themselves in the last seasons, that pundits are thinking "oh why are they starting the game?".
Don't know the reason but Son was really out of form from beginning of this season. I was watching him a lot cause of fantasy and he looked totally out of some games. He had problem getting into the chances and then he would fumble them like amateur, looked mostly like missing confidence and belief. He was lucky his first strike yesterday was a screamer and he looked like old Son we all love after that. He was trying to force open the defense and managed to do so in multiple occasions. I think his crises is now over and we will have some more goals to enjoy.

While we are on fantasy topic you guys know I have a chat Sporsbet clubtalk on that topic? It is on today an hour before the games start, follwed immediately by Clubhouse TV. There will also be some free bets during the day on Sporsbet so drop by if you have the time.

I completely forgot about this yesterday, it usually is on my mind to check out Clubtalk/TV on EPL and UCL game nights but you know how it is, once you're rushing to clean up real life and settling in to watch the game, you can tend to forget everything else.

Your chat's pretty good, anyone into Fantasy should tune in Wink

This did not escape my attention Grin
Early days but I do not want to slip to more than 25 points behind the leader. You can’t win the pool in September but you can lose it by being too far off the pace too early.

The last time some pulling away from the rest on the leaderboard was actually Tokeweed if I recall correctly who led the leaderboard was from the second round or thereabout, and at some point everything everyone else was fight for was 2nd position and the remaining prize positions. as it stands now, Jayce holds 7 point lead advantage over 2nd place, but the difference between the 2nd place and 14th position is just 7.5 points  Shocked

What does the famous player Heung-min go by? Son, who came off the bench, scored a hat-trick in the second half as  Tottenham Hotspur defeated feeble Leicester City with six goals, extending the Foxes' Premier League losing skid to an unsettling six games.
After suffering a midweek loss to Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League, Antonio Conte's team recovered by scoring twice in the next 13 minutes to turn the game around. Harry Kane got things going with a back-post header that restored parity and brought his Premier League goal total versus Leicester to 18 goals. Eric Dier joined him on the scoreboard.

Today games at least ended with only one surprise result, that game of Newcastle although I think that they played really well and Bournemouth just kinda parked the bus and defended the result. In the other games of today no surprises with Manchester City winning easily and also Tottenham winning with a tennis result against Leicester. From the results of Leicester so far they look like relegation cannot be avoided.

On a personal not there is only good when you are near the last places in the standings as you can only come up in the rankings.

Newcastle killed most of the bets today and its a really sad result for them. They had an easy 3 points and barely got that one point in the end . Trippier was also really close to scoring a goal and they were close as well for the second goal but just the ball wont go in. Bournemouth survived today and got a big point

Such an incredible performance by Tottenham today!

It seems like nobody expected Tottenham to crush Leicester by a four-goal difference.  Grin  I see Betwrong the closest as their prediction was 4-1 but even it wasn't enough for 1.5 points at least. Tottenham literally demolished Leicester by 6-2. There were totally different halves in this game above all else. Leicester showed a big resistance against Tottenham and the first half score was 2-2. But Tottenham started to perform much stronger in the other half. Bentancur found the third goal in the first minutes but there was a big interval without goals after that. The goal came by Son after the 70th minute was the breaking point of the game.

Quite content that our (LFC) game against Chelsea is not going ahead due to the Queen’s funeral. We are still feeling our way into the season, players coming back from injury. Klopp could do with more time on the training pitch with the boys.

Chelsea have a new coach too, I didn’t want to be facing a team with a new manager & players with a point to prove, giving an extra 5% etc.

Happy to relax this weekend & watch others play. Let Klopp prepare the red machine to fire after the international break.

My predictions for the pool this weekend are in Smiley

I think you should not worry much about Chelsea and their new coach, they screwed up really big in the Champions League by not being able to beat a team from a much low quality league than the Premier League. They made a lot of chances and dominated the game there but could not score more than one goal and for me a draw 1-1 against such team says everything.

Liverpool on the other hand played against a team better in quality than the one Chelsea played and beat them in the last minute of the game,I agree more days can be beneficial for Liverpool before such encounter which I strongly believe that Liverpool will win.
Liverpool play very good quality football. Their game continues to improve every season. They have a qualified coach. One who keeps the team balanced and achieves the goal. If the Chelsea vs Liverpool game had not been postponed, we would have been gifted a good game. I could understand whose team is strong.

From Chelsea's point of view, the wouldn't want to face a top club in league as they're still getting used to their new manager and right after having a poor showing with the new manager against an inferior club at the UCL.  Cheesy  I think Cheslea's upcoming match vs Crystal Palace is just about the right challenge for them as some sort of tune up match to adjust and tweak the squad and their strategy.

^Same here, glad I went with Villa in the end, and the Fulham win, though not good enough not to get exact scores like quite a few of the pool players. Position unchanged at the bottom, I'm ready to see City lose to Wolves though in the early game starting soon! Over 95/10, smacks of disappointment but hey, maybe Haaland gets an off day (yeah, right).

Same here, Robbo's my biggest concern, I like Tsimi but he's more reliable. Should be ready, and Thiago + Matip + Hendo all possibly fully fit and back would give me a better outlook. Might even get lucky with Konate?
