Leicester City finally get their fist win of the season, thanks to Maddison's magnificent impact on the game, scoring 2 and providing an assist, this could be the turning point for the Foxes to actually get their season back in good shape.

Yep, I wrote somewhere that the odds on them winning were unexpectedly high (I went for a handicap win @2.5 odds) and that it is a perfect game for them to try and turn their season around.
They are a decent team and should easily finish mid-table. I expected them to push for european spots as well - but after a start like this that is off the table.

Moreso, I finally get to win the Yellow cap after 8 rounds, I really didn't see this coming, IRRC I believe there is a Free bet for best player of the round right ? If yes, at least that'd basically mean I've got my buy-in fee right back, so there's nothing to lose.

Just as I thought, they only had a huge amount of bad luck so far in their games and are not a team that should be relegated or fighting to get out of the relegation zone, based on their quality in the end of the season they should be in mid table somewhere.I am impressed that they didn't concede any goal yesterday as their defense has been their weak point as they conceded way to many goals in the games they played so far.I also expected a good game from Nottingham but them losing 4-0 shows they are just a team that came from the Championship and most likely they will be back there in the end of the season.

I got this weird itch to put silly money on Leicester tonight to make up for everything over the weekend... 18/10 looks impossible value at home against a promoted side, and Brendan needs his job.

Am I digging a hole for myself or making a smart recovery?
In hindsight, definitely a smart recover. This one was a freebie from the bookies, as I have been preaching whole week in Fantasy topic, Leicester is actually very good going forward and I expected them to score few tonight with big contribution from Maddison. What I did not expect was a clean sheet in the process, I went with 3:1 in the pool and even considered 4:2. If NFO managed to score that one goal all my bets would pass, including a crazy betbilder where I had Maddison to score 2 or more goals and bunch of other stuff.

I put a few sats on the underdog, but hey, that's what I do.

I hadn't had a chance to see Leicester to play so far this season, so I was mostly going by their record.  I've had the full match streaming while I finish up some work, and I agree.  In retrospect they look a lot better than their record would indicate.  They've had a rough schedule so far this year, they might provide some more bargains in the weeks to come.

Of course the question remains about today's match, is Leicester that good, or is Forest really that bad?  Forest was so dominant in EFL Championship last year, I really expected more of them.  Today they looked nothing like a Premier League team.

Anybody watching the match?  Man U fans are leaving and they are mad.
Yeah I was watching the match and enjoying every minute of it. It is not that I am City supporter I just like to see good football. I expected City to win easy but and United to score a goal so, I also banked a nice ticket.

Must say I did not expect City to score 6. This is Haaland 3rd hat trick and he needed 8 games to get to that number. Record was held by Micheal Owen, he needed 40+ games to do the same. That is one of the stats that perfectly show Haaland dominance in the league. When I remember that I thought he will have rough start and that Kane is safer option in fantasy  Shocked

Nice.  I had City to win and under 4.5 combo at 1.92.  I kinda thought United getting a goal in would be doubtful.  Lol.  But yeah..  You win some, you lose some.

Anyway, what do you think of the Arsenal vs Liverpool match.  Seems like it's another good one for BTTS and over 2.5 combo.  The line is decent too, it's at 1.88 the last time I checked at Stake.  You prolly could get it over 1.90 at Sportsbet with their line boosts.

Leicester City at 1.75 looks fantastic. I'm not going to take such a risk, so I went with Under 2.5 @1.42  Because these are two shady clubs, expect them to go back and forth until 90 minutes, with 1-2 total goals.

That's an expensive pretense to be keeping up, then, if title ambitions weren't part of the plan for 4 years, but I guess oil money's for having fun in the cups. Depth? Well, I guess your loan army has a little to blame for that Wink
Oh, you took one of our low-rated Academy Solnake for £20 million and then sold him back to the Championship a few months later? Oh, you must be sad Grin. In addition, our academy players have contributed more to our main team than your academy has done for Loserpool. We have 1-2 players from our academy in 19 of the league's clubs; can we say the same for Loserpool Academy? Nope

80m Fofana can come compete with our expensive striker hopefully when we next meet, eh? I'm willing to bet money he does better than a certain 100+m striker you guys just offloaded (again loan army) back to Italy.
Nigga trying to push Lukaku to £100m mark so badly. I understand.  Grin

Agree, but why is Chelski blameless here?

Yeah, for over four years now, we have never pretended to compete for the league title like other shitty top four teams because we know we can only compete well in European leagues and cup competitions with fewer matches because we do not have a good squad depth to carry us for 38 games in the league and for the past three seasons we have shown dominance in cup and European competitions. Chelsea is undergoing rebuild following Putin's invasion of Ukraine, >: Grin and we have lost many things in the process. Give them a break. I'm not sure why Loserpool are so shitty with their expensive keeper and €100 million striker. Roll Eyes

Live betting does seem to be great for Liverpool though, they have been either winning or drawing from losing positions, according to some article from last season they have been the team to get the most points after going behind first in all leagues!

What's HBP? Smiley

On inplay, the only option I consider is HT under 1.2 or 2.5.
@10 and most of the time @1.15 odds for English Premier League games, then HT 0.5 for Championship games, but it's a waste of time; the best thing to do now is ignore Liverpool.

Are you too hasty? City are still behind Arsenal and if this state of affairs continues, City may even be outside the top six  Grin
As for the cheat code, I agree, but City is practically unlimited in budget, so it's rather strange that only now they got something like that.
City outside top 6? How? C'mon, now they're just 1 point behind Arsenal. Though, I agree that awarding them title after just 8 rounds and when they're not even on top is a bit too hasty Cheesy.

This is the joke - if Arsenal stays ahead of City by 1 point, then this is possible since we all know that Arsenal will definitely fall in the standings. Therefore, if Arsenal is in 5th place, then City will be one point behind on the 6th. Not everyone understood the course of my thoughts.
And yes, it's too early to talk about the results of the championship, last season Haaland missed a lot of games due to injuries, who knows how the situation will turn out this season.

Well, that's probably the worst weekend I've had in terms of predicitons. I tried to be fancy, and predict the unpredictable hoping to make up some points, and well that ended very badly. I don't think I'll employ that technique going forward Tongue.

Also, Liverpool are still bad. Man City are still great, and Haaland keeps scoring for fun. I'm starting to feel a little more grateful the World Cup will be coming up in a few months, because Liverpool need a real sort out. Trent who I've been a supporter of before in times of criticism, has been absolutely woeful, and it's not just his positioning, but the lack of desire to defend.

Anyway, I'll continue to be hopeful Liverpool pick their form up. It's only a matter of time...right? Also, I was completely wrong about Haaland. I knew he was good, but I thought he'd have injury issues as he has had them before, for lengthy periods like Aguero. Well, it turns out he only needs ten games a season to actually win the golden boot so.

I don't think that many people did that well in this round as I have seen the top places didn't move a lot in points so I assume almost all the pool did pretty badly during this weekend. We still have one game to be played tonight which should be hopefully Leicester first win of the season.I think they are not a team that has not quality and is going to be relegated but they have had a huge amount of bad luck in their games, hopefully tonight this changes for the better. They should be able to win against Nottingham tonight.

Liverpool didn't and that is enough to destroy a lot of points.I think Arsenal ended like predicted and I got a close result there together with West Ham which also got as expected, then in the end I got Chelsea correct score.I was expecting a Brentford win which it didn't come and also a draw in the Southampton game.So yes most likely half of the games ended like expected from the strong ones well except Liverpool which besides losing points to many in the pool I am sure has also ruined many bets that people had made on them.

Liverpool are now Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs. Do not trust them, do not put them on your tickets, or at least bet against them.

Any team playing them to score first seems to be amazing value this season too Wink

I'm not even close. being content, man! I lost $50 because of that game, I added Loserpool to my acca to increase the odds of my perfect four fold of Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, and Loserpool for the weekend, I had to endure the agony of both Loserpool and Chelsea losing at the same time, equalized at the same time, Loserpool went ahead with 3-2, then I had my mindset on Chelsea to get the winner and then boom! Loserpool conceded again immediately after Chelsea scored the winner. Angry Loserpool are so bad, Loserpool fans must be going through hell, I had HBP cheering for them for 90 minutes.

Oh very well then, I must say I was better off for this week to be honest, those two draws from Leeds and Bournemouth, I really don't like to settle for draw because I find them very tricky, but in this case those goalless draw gave mean extra point for the slam point, and If I should get it right, even just the right outcome for Leicester City vs Notthingham Forest will have me get the yellow for the week, so I literally can't complain and I also moved up by 7 positions in the leaderboard.

On TAA, I also agree that he's not the best guy defensively, but he just doesn't show any form of desire whatsoever and that's what most of the critics are about, you've just got to show the interest on there defense especially when the team are as a whole are struggling, maybe it's time for Klopp to just try out playing 3-4-3 at least that should give them another man helping in defense.

he reached three hattricks in 8 matches, and Owen is second on the list, with 48 matches till 3 hattricks in Premier league, unbelievable
and yeah, this is to Farmers league as well, he could not score that many goals in Bundesliga, probably tougher opponents?

Haaland from farmers league now writting new history of EPL, just 8 games so far and 14 goals scored, including 3 hattricks. Crazy. As you noticed, he didn't had such performances in farmers league.

The Manchester derby was really lovely! Haaland is just an insane striker. He made another hat-trick and got two assists also. By this performance, he has made his third hat-trick in three home matches in a row. He has already reached 14 goals in his 8th match in the league. He can surely break a new goal record as long as he maintains this amazing effort.

The goal record (in the 38-match format) belongs to Salah who scored 32 goals in the 2017-18 season. But Haaland scored almost the half of that while we aren't even close to half season.  Cheesy  It is still early to talk about the champion of this season. But it is the truth that no team can prevent Manchester City from achieving the title as long as their beast plays like this.  Grin

I didn't find that lovely the Manchester derby,at least not seeing Manchester United concede 6 goals in a game and 4 goals in the first half where they showed as non existent in the field, and so they were until the end of the game when they scored 2 goals and those goals were only scored because City didn't care that much at that point.I was expecting a narrow win from City or even a draw in this game taking into consideration the recent good results of Manchester United.

It is early to tell but City looks like they are going to have an easy Premier League this year as I don't think Arsenal will resist much longer.

Agree, but why is Chelski blameless here? We all need to join the losers' circle as equals. Anyway we meet Haaland again in about 2 weeks. As you all know, I am betting a figurative house on this one, stupidly. Early odds are Liverpool 31/10.

Manchester United, with a more compact and better defense than Loserpool, conceded 6 goals against only Haaland and Foden; are you wondering what Loserpool would do with a shaky midfield and defense?
